The role

Business Disability Forum is a business membership organisation with an ambitious digital strategy. We have invested substantially in the last few years to upgrade three of our digital products (website, Knowledge Hub and a self-assessment management tool for our Members).

We are looking for an experienced, confident Digital Manager to lead on delivering our digital strategy and roadmap, continually improve our digital products, ensure accessibility is integral to our digital offer and manage the development of new digital products. You will also line manage our Digital Content Officer.

The requirement

• Experience working as a Digital Manager, preferably in a business facing organisation.
• Professional experience maintaining a WordPress Content Management System with an understanding of using CSS.
• Experience of monitoring SysOps - hosted server, CPU, storage, servers, domains, DNS, monitoring and acting quickly on critical issues.
• Experience delivering websites and digital products that are accessible to disabled people with outstanding knowledge of digital accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Experience of managing the development of complex digital products from a third-party supplier from start to finish.

We’re recruiting our first Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive, to join our high performing Fundraising team at Refuge. You’ll be highly organised and be able to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will also be confident in reviewing and analysing campaign performance and making recommendations for future performance. About the role:

This role is based in our office at Whitecross Studio's, 50 Banner Street, London, with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London.

As a Senior Children and Young Persons Caseworker, you will be required to:

• Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
• Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases of approx. 10 and provide specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
• Review the assessment of risk on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate and immediate action is taken in respect of any CYP facing significant harm, making the necessary referrals to MARAC and local safeguarding processes as required given the legal framework relating to the protection of children and the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.
• To consult with and involve children and young people in making decisions about themselves and the development of the service.
• Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing, with the intention of supporting children and young people who have been impacted by crime. Attend meetings as required.
• To advocate on behalf of children and young people affected by crime, to ensure the diverse needs of children and young people using the service are met.
• Manage up to 4 staff, conducting supervisions and case reviews, supporting and coaching your staff in their practice and personal development.

You will need to have the following essential skills:

• Experience of working directly with vulnerable children and young people aged 5 - 17, on a one to one basis, with a proven ability to work in creative and appropriate ways to engage with children and young people
• Experience with assessing risk and taking appropriate action to safeguard children and young people
• An understanding of the current issues for children and young people experiencing crime, including Serious youth violence, Sexual Violence, Domestic abuse and relationship abuse
• Experience of delivering effective multi-agency and partnership work, including building relationships with statutory and voluntary CYP service providers
• Effective organisational skills, including experience with planning, prioritising, managing crises and a caseload, and maintaining accurate and confidential case records
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, databases, internet and Outlook

About you and the role

This role is key to helping us grow and empower our school and chef partners through our Membership. You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager and Procurement Manager to improve the membership offering and build a strong community of schools, chefs, and suppliers.

Your work will be varied, from managing membership administration to building supplier relationships and helping with communication between schools and stakeholders. As the membership grows, you’ll work with the team to help improve the support, networks, and systems available to members. You’ll also help with ensuring suppliers meet safety standards, deliver great produce, and offer reliable service.

In addition, you’ll assist with organising our member events, from planning and logistics to coordinating attendees and making sure everything runs smoothly.

CHARITY FOUNDATION MANAGER REQUIRED

James Marshall Foundation (JMF) is a long-established local charity. Its mission is to support financially disadvantaged young people aged 4 to 24 years old living in Harpenden, Wheathampstead, Kimpton, Redbourn, Flamstead or Markyate by awarding individual grants for education and career development opportunities.
In 2024, JMF awarded over 850 individual grants totalling £200,000.

We are seeking a dedicated Foundation Manager to oversee the operational and strategic management of the James Marshall Foundation.

The JMF has an endowment and as such, our focus is on the effective distribution of funds to support our objectives and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the charity.

The Foundation Manager is responsible for, amongst other things, managing the grant process, overseeing financial stewardship (including in respect of the foundation’s properties), supporting the trustees, fulfilling compliance and reporting obligations, and maintaining the visibility of JMF with local schools and other relevant bodies. The Foundation Manager will manage a team of 3 part-time Foundation Associates.

The role is based in our office in Harpenden, with the expectation of hours being 28–30 hours a week on a minimum of 4 days. Attendance at some evening meetings will be required.

Our Database Support Team works to provide efficient, effective, and relevant system support to the users of the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) CRM system, BlackBaud ECRM (BBEC), via the team’s helpdesk.  

As a Data Support Assistant, you’ll play a key in supporting the work of the wider Data Operations team and Technology directorate, helping to structure and implement agreed changes and updates to the BHF’s CRM system and assist in the implementation & management of CRM housekeeping programmes.

You’ll work with a wide range of internal stakeholders, ensuring data is handled compliantly and efficiently across the board and our supporters have a high-quality experience and journey that they expect from us. 

About You   

With strong computer literacy skills, including knowledge of CRM systems or other database packages, as well as proficiency in Microsoft packages, you’ll be familiar with data querying and data manipulation.

You’ll have previous experience of using Raisers Edge/ BBEC/ or equivalent CRM/ database software, and will have excellent communication skills, able to develop strong working relationships with the team and colleagues at all levels of the organisation. 

It would be beneficial to have a background in fundraising or marketing, as it will help in understanding the broader context of our projects. Additionally, your strong customer service skills will ensure that stakeholders have a high-quality experience and feel valued.

To be successful in this role you’ll also have:

• Experience of prioritising your own workload with exemplary attention to detail.
• Previous experience working with large databases, preferably Blackbaud products.
• A good working knowledge of data processes and management.
• Self-motivation, high organisation skills, and the ability to plan effectively, while maintaining accuracy and speed in tasks, upholding high standards, and meeting deadlines.

Working arrangements

About the role

The Refugee Council’s services strategy is aimed at delivering high impact, sustainable services that are centred on the needs of people seeking asylum and refugees in the UK, and improving the system of support that they rely on for their safety and future lives in local communities. We seek to significantly improve early access to information, advice and support for people seeking asylum and refugees in crisis and those seeking to integrate into the UK.

In December 2023, with consultancy support, we designed an exciting youth service strategy with a delivery model centred around children’s needs and with the vision for change on how separated children and young people are treated in their asylum journey by creating holistic casework, high quality joined up relationships across the organisation, collaboration with local partners and supporters through learning and sharing best practice to transform their experience and bring systemic change.

The Age Dispute work sits within the Youth Casework team, and we seek to deepen the impact by supporting more children and young people now dispersed across England and who are wrongly age assessed of assumed as over 18 by the Home Office and/or by the local authorities. The age disputes casework adviser will bring expertise to provide specialist casework to challenge incorrect age assessments, use experience to deal and prioritise high risk cases, work with various stakeholders including legal representatives, statutory agencies, and collaborate with others in sector to develop, learn and share best practice resources in casework provision. The postholder will maintain an understanding of the changing practice in relation to age assessments in particular and the wider policy landscape, work with colleagues in the Youth Services and in consultation with the Youth Services Manager, liaise with other relevant Refugee Council teams, including advocacy, practice development, youth involvement, In-Form to use casework evidence to address inequities in policy and practice.

Based within the Youth Services of the Refugee Council, the Age Disputes Casework Adviser will be responsible for:

• Working with children and young people to understand their experiences and needs.
• Working closely with other Age Disputes Casework Advisers and the Youth Services Manager to identify and review high risk and complex cases that need prioritising and create effective internal case triage and allocation systems.
• Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that the needs of young people with disputed age are recognised and met.
• Identifying age assessment policy and practice issues impacting on the lives of separated children for possible action via strategic litigation with legal representatives and advocacy colleagues.
• Maintaining expert casework knowledge and understanding of the environment and barriers that separated children seeking asylum face in with regards to the assessment of their age, and issues related to access to high quality information, advice and legal representation on immigration, asylum and welfare, and always learning and sharing the knowledge with others.

General Manager – Arts Organisation (Temporary, with potential to become permanent)
Central London | £21.97/hour + holiday pay (FTE £40,000) | Full-time (40 hours/week) | Hybrid

I’m working with a brilliant, independent arts organisation based in the heart of the West End to recruit a General Manager on a temporary basis, with the potential to go permanent. This dynamic and varied role will see you working closely with the Chief Executive and the Senior Management Team to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth running of the organisation.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a similar role (operations, finance, or administration) in the arts or charity sector.

• Excellent organisational skills and a methodical, solutions-focused approach.

• Strong understanding of charity/company governance, GDPR, and HR processes.

• Confident using financial systems like Xero and working with external bookkeepers/accountants.

• Empathy, integrity, and a collaborative mindset – someone who enjoys being the calm in a busy creative space.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week (evening/weekend work may be required, TOIL offered). Hybrid working is available, though some on-site presence is essential.
