About the Role

About the Role

Possible is a climate action charity working on climate solutions which improve people’s lives, support communities and cut the cost of living, as well as slashing carbon. Our “Where We Live” workstrand creates innovative new ways to improve the roll-out of clean, affordable heat and energy, and to better insulate homes. 

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering community energy and/or heat projects. Are you excited to unblock the delivery of innovative local clean energy and heat projects which cut emissions and energy poverty and empower communities? As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with expert partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand. 

The role will include coordinating and working with key expert partners, including community energy groups and research partners, across the three sites. The design stage of the project is largely complete, but there is still scope for creativity in delivery.

Like all our staff, you will contribute to our anti-oppression work, attend team-wide meetings and training sessions and feed in to the production of organisational strategy. About the role:

You will play a vital role in helping clients sustain accommodation, access services, and develop the skills and confidence needed to take control of their lives. This post is offered as a fixed term contract until 30 November 2025, or a secondment for internal applicants. 

We are looking for a proactive Rent Services Partner to join the dynamic and friendly Rent Service Team, playing a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives. This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK for up to 4000 St Mungo’s residents; and collect over £45 million in rent and service charge. 

In the role of Rent Service Partner, you will:

• Deliver a high quality rent collection and arrears recovery service, supporting our clients by working towards minimising rent arrears and maximising client income.
• Complete accurate court applications and present cases to court. 
• Oversee a busy and varied case load of rent arrears cases ensuring outcomes are achieved in a timely manner.
• Provide an accurate, sensitive and responsive rent account enquiry and information service.
•  Work closely with key stakeholders, being the lead liaison with Local Authorities for a designated caseload.

You will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for someone with good problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team. If you can demonstrate the below, we encourage you to apply.

• Experience of working in a rent service, income collection or credit control team and overseeing a case load of rent arrears cases providing quality advice and support in a busy target driven role.
• Experience of presenting cases to court and knowledge of the court system and legal process relating to debt recovery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective liaison with tenants, internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability of using relevant software packages (e.g. Pyramid Rent Accounting) and other IT applications and databases, such as Microsoft Office.

We are looking for a Legacy Officer to ensure that legacy income is processed in accordance with internal policies. 

You will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of legacy cases where the charity is named as a beneficiary; work with external solicitors and lay executors to ensure that gifts are received in a timely fashion and that all internal and external procedures and legislation is adhered to; promote pragmatic solutions and refer appropriate matters to the Senior Legacy Manager to ensure all reputational risks are proactively managed.

Group Financial Controller | up to £700 per day (Umbrella) | Hybrid | London | 12-months +

For a large international organisation, we are recruiting an Interim Group Financial Controller to focus on their short-term cash flow forecast model, intercompany, and trapped cash. Critically, this role will fully implement and embed the use of a 13-week short term cashflow forecast and will oversee the cash repatriation to the UK from overseas entities, liaising with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Group Statutory Reporting, and the MSP. The Group Financial Controller will also lead monthly close, balance sheet integrity, intercompany processes and compliance, and develop insight and understanding of the company's working capital to drive initiatives to optimise.

Main Duties:

• Fully develop and embed the short-term 13-week cash flow forecast and process notes with the goal of transferring this to the MSP
• Coordinate work across Financial Control, Tax, and Treasury to improve cash repatriations to the UK (trapped cash)
• Leadership of change across global financial control activities including monthly-close, balance sheet integrity, intercompany processes and financial regulation compliance
• Partner with business units and regions to support change in the transactional finance activities, monthly close and financial compliance is carried out.
• Lead multiple stakeholders across territories to ensure consistent standards and performance including interaction with the MSP
• Drive improvement in understanding and reporting of working capital across the group and entities
• Key role in coordinating activity across Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Group Statutory reporting and the Managed Service Provider as well as overseas Finance teams to maximise accuracy
