Role Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Growth & Branding, the Fundraising Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the fundraising function across Enable’s diverse services. 

This role will play a pivotal part in developing and implementing the Fundraising strategic objectives moving forward, as well as act in a coordination capacity to ensure all Enable services are aligned in relation to Fundraising.

Skills and Experience: 

• Proven Fundraising experience within a not for profit environment 
• Networking skills, ideally with a pre-existing network of funder relationships
• Passion for fundraising, project work and a drive to positively impact the community
• Excellent research skills, which can be used to identify new funders, assess the external market, and understand our users’ needs 
• Experience with writing and managing bids and grants 
• Ability to work independently using your own initiative and prioritise effectively

We have an opportunity to work on a new project as our Befriending Development Coordinator.

You will work closely with Greenwich residents aged 50 years + and other relevant stakeholders to enable a programme of services, events and activities which seek to improve their health and wellbeing. It will target those who are lonely, isolated, and living in disadvantaged parts of the borough.

• Build & manage relationships with UK Fellows to understand their needs and inform our support strategy

• Design & deliver engagement and communications initiatives e.g. Fellows newsletters, regular and tailored touch-points

• Understand & facilitate value-add connections and opportunities e.g. connections to mentors, experts, funders 

• Design & deliver community initiatives that extend connection, knowledge and skills e.g. running in-person events, online workshops

• You are always using data to learn and refine, and people often tell you that you have a strong eye for detail

• You are a highly organised self-starter who turns ideas into action with an ability to manage competing priorities across a range of different tasks

East End Community Foundation is an independent charitable Foundation that aims to build partnerships and invest in communities to make lasting change so local residents can access the wealth of opportunities that surround them. For over 30 years they have been supporting individuals and local charities in the East End of London.

As the Head of Development & Communications, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and achieving EECF’s income generation strategy. This will involve evaluating current income generation and building upon existing donor relationships and growing new meaningful donor partnerships. With a focus on high value fundraising across, individuals and corporate, this role will work with and manage a small team of three to achieve income generation goals. It will also be part of the Senior Management Team and work closely with other internal relationships to achieve growth.

To be successful as the Head of Development & Communications you will have proven experience within fundraising and particularly across high value income streams. This person will also have had previous line management experience and be keen to manage a small team to achieve success. The charity is looking for a Media and Communications Manager (maternity cover) to help its work to stop economic abuse forever.

You would be joining the charity at an exciting time. In this role, you would lead on delivering the charity’s press office function and manage the charity’s annual Economic Abuse Awareness Day campaign.

As part of this role, you will also work closely with survivors to land high-profile media coverage to raise awareness about economic abuse and support our work influencing the new government. As well as line-manage the Communications Officer and oversee their work delivering the charity’s social media communications.

About you

• You will have excellent news sense and an understanding of social media, having worked in a busy press office or as a journalist.
• You will have a track record in creating and delivering impactful media stories while navigating competing priorities and deadlines with agility.

• Deliver an efficient and effective press office, swiftly and professionally responding to media inquiries from journalists.
• Manage the planning, delivery, and oversee the team’s execution of major communications campaigns, such as Economic Abuse Awareness Day.
• Lead on creating and delivering media stories to support the charity’s aim to raise awareness of economic abuse and influence policy and legislative change.
• Work closely with the Survivor Engagement Specialist to identify and gather survivors’ stories and support them to safely tell their story in the media.
• Line-manage a Communications Officer and oversee their work delivering our social media communications, ensuring strategic, on brand and responsive to risks and opportunities.
• Deliver media training to charity spokespeople and provide both written and verbal briefings ahead of interviews to ensure message consistency.
• Feedback and sign-off on communication materials developed by others to ensure consistent messaging, in line with the charity’s brand guidelines.
• Protect and maintain the charity’s brand and reputation, identifying risks and working with team members to effectively respond.

Purpose of job:

Comic Relief is looking for a Digital Fundraising Lead to assume responsibility as the driving force behind our fundraising and engagement strategies. The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research, and has been leading and bringing the migraine community together since 1965. One in seven people in the UK live with migraine. This complex and debilitating neurological disorder can significantly affect many aspects of life including work, school, personal relationships, and feelings of isolation.

Every year over two million people visit The Migraine Trust website for the most up to date information, and thousands contact the helplines for information and support on all aspects of migraine. The Migraine Trust campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, better access to treatment, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it.

The Information Manager will coordinate and develop a range of health information needed by the migraine community and people living with migraine to raise awareness to both members of the public and health care professionals. The role is also responsible for ensuring the information on the website is up to date and coordinating and managing Patient Information Forum renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
• Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
• Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
• Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
• Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The foundation is currently based in a Hong Kong family office, with personnel in Hong Kong and the UK, as well as Cameroon, Brazil, Australia, Papua, and the US. We are seeking a hands-on, seasoned, and globally-minded leader to serve as the foundation’s Director of Operations (DO) as the institution continues to evolve and develop other vehicles fit for its mission and activities.

Role

As Director of Operations, you will be a key member of the foundation’s leadership team jointly responsible for strategic planning and overall management of the institution to ensure organisational health and the fulfilment of the foundation’s mission. You will report to the Executive Director (ED).

Director of Operations Responsibilities

 — The responsibilities of the Director of Operations will include, but are not limited to:

 Finance

 Information Technology

Risk Management

Qualifications
