What's the Job?

LSESU is looking for a proactive and driven Facility Coordinator to oversee the daily supervision and operation of our sports facilities. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the spaces, from health and safety compliance to customer service excellence. You’ll also manage internal and external bookings, including LSE Sports Clubs, and coordinate weekly sports events such as BUCS, Club and Society events and private hires from external companies. 
 

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Ops and Facility Manager to deliver the strategic vision for our facilities, focusing on enhancing the user experience. You will oversee training procedures, incident reporting, and various administrative tasks, including financial reporting and facility usage tracking. 
 

You’ll collaborate closely with both staff and students, playing an active part in day-to-day operations and strategic development of the sports facilities. Your work will have a direct impact on the student experience at LSE, ensuring the seamless running of the facilities and successful execution of sporting events, whilst also managing bookings and supporting continuous improvements and innovations.

Our Finance team is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join our Accounts Payable (AP) team to support the work and transactions that British Heart Foundation (BHF) perform for us to fund lifesaving science.
 
As an Accounts Payable Finance Officer, you'll:

• support the team and deliver a high-quality service in terms of timely, accurate and efficient entry of BHF expenditure onto our central accounting system

The AP team provides a high level of customer service, ensuring colleagues and suppliers are kept updated in the process and that the payment process is as smooth as possible, so you’ll effectively manage your workload and escalate complex issues to the team lead.

Understanding the needs of customers, you’ll raise the profile of finance through provision across the AP team of best-in-class service both internally and externally.

The role involves dealing with internal & external customers via email and over the phone, so you’ll be confident communicating in both conversation and writing.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you 
 

You’ll have previous experience within accounts payable or be someone wanting to get into Finance with strong organisational skills, able to pick up tasks quickly and with ease.

With excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, you’ll be able to build strong working relationships within Finance and across the BHF and be comfortable communicating finance information to non-finance colleagues. 

The role is working within a high-volume, fast-paced team, so you’ll have excellent time management and organisational skills.

To excel in the role you will have:

• Accounts payable experience: A strong understanding and experience of BACs, invoicing, reconciliation, finance administration, and Account Payable processes. Familiarity with HMRC requirements for VAT and payments within the UK banking system, and a good knowledge of GDPR.
• Proficient IT and financial systems skills: Excellent IT skills including MS Excel and financial application software packages. 
• Problem-solving and analytical skills: Outstanding attention to detail with an analytical approach to data. Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach to identifying and resolving issues independently.

You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts, campaigns, and the charity’s administrative needs. A basic lf knowledge of video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.

In the role of Rent Service Partner, you will:

• Deliver a high quality rent collection and arrears recovery service, supporting our clients by working towards minimising rent arrears and maximising client income.
• Complete accurate court applications and present cases to court.

It is desirable for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work. 

The post holder will provide a high-quality personal welfare support service to Eastern European survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse and their children. The post holder will empower Eastern European survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, including support to access safe accommodation.

Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and under-resourced learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC). We have 13 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with hundreds of schools and local authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually. 

As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with over 200 qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. These tutors provide pastoral care and work with pupils to increase engagement and attainment. Our programmes will help the students to overcome barriers to learning, help them build trusted relationships, increase their aspirations, and fulfil their potential. Role Overview:

The Partnerships Administrator will be an integral part of our Partnerships team, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the team.

Gather and analyse information about current and prospective high-value donors and corporates from GDPR-compIiant sources
Project-manage fundraising events, taking an active role at each event and ensuring all aspects of the event run with efficiency.
Assist with activities across the high-value donor and corporate fundraising programme as required.

You will support the Head of Finance with a range of financial administration including processing and paying invoices, reconciling bank statements, updating our accounting and CRM systems, responding to member queries in relation to payments and invoices, processing expenses and supporting the cash flow forecasting process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

 JOB PURPOSE

To provide the administration of ACF’s finance processes. 

To support with other Operations functions including IT, HR, and office management. 

KEY RESULT AREAS/PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Finance 

Prepare invoice authorisation and payment process, ensuring invoices and expenses are recorded and approved appropriately, and payments made to suppliers in a timely manner. 

Reconcile bank statements, accounting software, and CRM, to ensure accurate income and expenditure records. 

Administer the corporate credit card scheme to ensure statements and transactions are approved, reconciled and accurate. 

Issue and update membership invoices using CRM. 

Manage outstanding debtor balances to ensure timely receipt of cash for ACF’s income. 

Respond to member and supplier queries regarding invoices and payments. 

Support cashflow management by maintaining a cashflow forecast. 

HR 

Maintain annual leave and sick leave records. 

Support HR manager with onboarding new staff: issuing offer letters, contracts, new starter forms, sending reference requests and arranging IT set up. 

Support HR manager with processing staff leavers: managing leaver checklists, issuing leaver letters, requesting the closure of IT accounts. 

Update ACFs organisational chart and welcome handbook as required. 

Ad hoc HR administration support around peak periods e.g. end of year reviews 

Other 

Support other Operations and Office Management functions as needed, including IT and office equipment, ensuring adequate levels of kitchen and office supplies, managing incoming post, and liaising with suppliers.
