Your day-to-day work will range from listening and talking with Fellows to delivery of events and initiatives. You will report to the UK Programme Director and work closely with the UK Programme Manager and Acumen Academy's global community & marketing teams.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Build & manage relationships with UK Fellows to understand their needs and inform our support strategy

• Design & deliver engagement and communications initiatives e.g. Fellows newsletters, regular and tailored touch-points

• Understand & facilitate value-add connections and opportunities e.g. connections to mentors, experts, funders 

• Design & deliver community initiatives that extend connection, knowledge and skills e.g. running in-person events, online workshops

• Design & deliver engaging communication campaigns that amplify and elevate the impact of Fellows e.g. writing case studies, blog posts, social media, public newsletters

• Track & evaluate the engagement and effectiveness of support initiatives e.g. feedback loops, data collection, impact reporting

• Build & manage partnerships with external partners e.g. event partners, media outlets

• Work in partnership with Acumen Academy’s global community and marketing teams to extend global opportunities, share learning and create consistent messaging

Qualifications and skills:

• You have a strong track record of delivering community initiatives that engage and bring value to an audience e.g. in-person events, online workshops, mentorship programmes

• You are a strong written communicator who takes pride in creating content that tells an impactful story - and can point to a portfolio of newsletters, blog posts, and case studies

• You are always using data to learn and refine, and people often tell you that you have a strong eye for detail

• You are a highly organised self-starter who turns ideas into action with an ability to manage competing priorities across a range of different tasks

• You have a strong track record of building relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders - such as charity and social enterprise CEOs, global colleagues, corporate partners

Mental Health Homelessness Outreach Team Leader

Working base: Flexible to one of our seven Wellbeing Centres across Hertfordshire, dependent on location.

About the Service

This is a pilot service working as a multi-disciplinary team with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs. The Complex Needs Housing Team Leader plays a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Complex Needs Housing Service are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
• To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health with positive outcomes for the individual.
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
• To work collaboratively within an MDT consisting of CGL, District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

This role is key to the development and support of the team and the wider organisation. 
The post holder will need to:

• Support the Services Manager with effective running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.
• Provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health.
• Line manage staff and where necessary volunteers.
• Lead a team of Mental Health Outreach Workers. Ensuring the team are using databases and outcome tools as required to report for the project.

Key Responsibilities

• To receive and process referrals from the local district and borough Councils for those who have presented as homeless with a mental health need, as well as other appropriate referrals pathways across Hertfordshire and make direct contact within 72 hours of referral.
• To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working.
• To manage a caseload of up to 5 clients.
• Embed a holistic, trauma informed and person-centred service
• Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
• Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
• Ensure all person-centred risk assessments and support plans are completed as appropriate.
• To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, drug and alcohol services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
• To work with partners both internal and external to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated in order to promote community safety.
• Support clients to build their emotional resilience and crisis planning tools, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
• To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
• Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer-term needs.
• Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
• Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
• Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
• Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
• Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The successful candidate will have the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of medical and health related information, including research and critical analysis skills to develop an evidence base. You will have experience working within a health communication environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrable editing and proofreading skills. You will have the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, be a self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the benefits of patient engagement to produce health information.

Role

Risk Management

Qualifications

About this role  

The Senior Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator will work as part of the Fundraising and Business Development Team at RedR. This role will focus primarily on generating institutional funding, but will also include to a lesser extent some work with trusts and foundations, corporate funders and individual funders. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Team, Project and Line Management  

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the business development and fundraising team, including line management of the BD/Fundraising Officer.

• Develop and implement social value measuring approaches and standards that enable social value data and information to be collected and recorded, across LHCPG’s operational activities. 
• Support the delivery and impact reporting of the Community Benefit Fund.
• Provide guidance and training on social value principles and practices.
• Produce annual social value reports and coordinate impact case studies.

What You Need: 

• Ideally, a relevant degree or professional qualification in CSR or social impact.
• Expertise in social value measurement frameworks used in the public sector.
• Understanding of technology's role in driving social innovation.
• Experience in managing complex projects and influencing outcomes with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks and their application.
• Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with confidential information and meet strict deadlines.
• Positive, supportive attitude with a collaborative and flexible approach.
• Previous experience in a social value role or not-for-profit organisation is desirable.
