Key Responsibilities: 

• Financial Management: Oversee daily operations of the finance function, ensuring accurate month-end processes, preparation of management accounts, maintenance of the Xero accounting system, and strong financial controls and procedures. 

• Team Leadership and Oversight: Manage and support the Business Administration and Finance Officer, reviewing reconciliations and ensuring effective financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and corporate cards. 

• Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead monthly and quarterly financial forecasting and support the Director of Finance and Operations in developing and monitoring the annual budget. 

• Financial Processing: Ensure all transactions are supported with appropriate documentation, manage income recording with the philanthropy team, and oversee gift aid submissions. 

• Payroll and Pensions: Process monthly payroll and pension contributions through Xero, manage HMRC obligations, and ensure staff expense claims are handled accurately and timely. 

• Compliance and Governance: Prepare statutory returns for the Charity Commission and Companies House, ensuring compliance with all financial and legal reporting requirements. 

• Uphold Envision’s values and be a role model for young people and volunteers. 

• Ensure that all activity is delivered in line with Envision policies and procedures.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies: 

• Prior experience of working in a similar role (min 2 years) 

• Accounting qualification (e.g.  AAT Level 3 or above, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience 

• Experience with IT systems – Office365, Shared drives 

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to present financial reports and information effectively to a wide variety of audiences.

The role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Programmes Manager to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of our international programs. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with extensive programme management experience and a deep commitment to our mission.

The Senior Programmes Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our programmes are effectively designed and delivered, meet the needs of the communities and animals we serve, and align with our organizational strategy and donor expectations. 

Positioned within the Global Programmes Department the role will involve close collaboration across teams in both the Global Support Office and our implementing partners.

FOOD Club Support Worker will support all aspects of the day-to-day running of the programme, to ensure the clubs have high standards of service delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

Our FOOD (Food On Our Doorstep) programme aims to: provide regular access to a sustainable supply of food to people at risk of food insecurity; encourage families to access local support services and be signposted to other agencies; increase disposable income for local families to improve life chances and wellbeing; reduce the amount of food being sent to landfill in the UK by utilising surplus food. 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

1. Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day running of the programme to ensure the clubs have high standards of service delivery.

2. Supporting the FOOD Club Coordinator to carry out regular compliance checks to ensure the quality and safety of the service, in order to protect service users and Family Action. 

3. Ensuring all aspects of the role are carried out in line with food safety/hygiene standards.

4. Ensure volunteers are using up-to-date allergies forms to prevent any risk to service users.

5. Support the FOOD Club Coordinator with financial checks, stock control, recruitment, induction and training of volunteers.

6. Recording accurate data to enable the FOOD Club Coordinator to report on KPIs, including uptake of the scheme, service user income, and the positive financial impact on families. 

7. Encourage regular attendance at FOOD Clubs to ensure income is maintained and to prevent food wastage. 

8. Provide regular feedback to the FOOD Club Coordinator on the quality of food and resources from suppliers.

As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse, of supporting women involved with Children’s Social Services and Early Help, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

This part-time role is an enhancement to the existing One-Stop-Shop (OSS) with a specific focus on families, which brings together a range of organisations to work together in one location to offer advice and services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse. Currently the service operates 1 -2 day per week, offering specialist multi-agency support and with this enhancement of provision, this will enable an increase in the days the OSS is open and available, including the OSS Co-ordinator also being based in a greater variety of locations such as family hubs.

The One Stop Shop Coordinator will coordinate a range of organisations e.g. solicitors, housing, by-and-for organisations, DWP to work together in one location to offer advice and support service to victim survivors of domestic abuse. Their interaction with families will include being the first point of contact for families when they are entering the OSS, advising mothers of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies and direct them to the most appropriate service and, proactively assessing the needs and safety of children and women to ensure that any risks/needs identified are addressed.

The Children & Young People Worker will be based in our Brent service and hold responsibility for delivering one to one and group work services for children of the age of 5 – 18 years, where there is domestic abuse perpetrated from one parent to another or in the household. The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse as its effects on women and children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and young people’s sectors. As an experienced children and young people’s advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis, and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with children survivors of domestic abuse and working with young people and children in face-to-face and group-work is essential for this post as is working within safeguarding principles and promoting a strong partnership approach to service provision.
