We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to manage our UK and ROI Consumer Goods programme in which you will work closely with the 10 major UK supermarkets and other large companies who sponsor the programme.

In this varied role you will provide day to day management, oversight, strategic input, helping to manage and grow the programme. You will engage and work with the established Consumer Goods steering group and their sub-contractors and suppliers, as well as engage more businesses in the programmes and build on the many opportunities to further our work. You will also deliver interactive training workshops for businesses and ensure Stronger Together continues to develop guidance and good practice in the UK and ROI, and work successfully with our partners.

You will work from home, line manage two of our Programme Co-ordinators, and will join a friendly, supportive, and committed global team, and contribute towards creating systemic change.

Who you are:

• An experienced project manager with an in-depth understanding of the consumer goods industry and experience managing senior corporate sponsor relations
• A professional who has worked with or within the consumer goods sector on responsible business behaviour and with a good knowledge/understanding of modern slavery, responsible recruitment, and ethical labour practices
• A great organiser, with the ability to set and meet demanding targets and deadlines, and to hold others accountable to those
• An excellent trainer, with experience of preparing and delivering training to businesses • Someone with an interest in being involved in operations as well as strategic thinking
• An excellent communicator, with experience of developing and building new successful working relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as confidence in representing the programme professionally at a variety of events
• Someone with experience of measuring and demonstrating impact
• A motivated and enthusiastic worker, able to work independently and with remote colleagues/stakeholders, delivering day-to-day workload with minimal supervision
• Someone with a good eye for detail, whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture
• An individual with permission to work in the UK.

The role is varied with opportunity to support strategy development and plans across the UK and ROI, implement them and try out new ideas. You will work remotely, but in close cooperation with the Co-CEOs, other Programme Managers and the rest of our team.

Fire Fighters Charity exists to offer personalised, specialist support to the UK’s extensive fire and rescue services community, focusing on health and wellbeing services to ensure they can live healthier and happier lives. 

The Talent Set are delighted to be partnering with Fire Fighters Charity to recruit their next Director of Fundraising, a key SLT position that is integral to their ambitions to broaden the reach and impact of their work. 

As Director of Fundraising you will be responsible for c£8-10m voluntary income, managing a team of c20-28 across all income streams to support long-term sustainable growth and the development of new income streams. Fire Fighters Charity are currently developing their SLT team and have big plans for the future under the leadership of their new Chief Executive, Sherine Wheeler. This position will be integral to supporting the overall leadership of the organisation, ensuring those ambitions are grounded in robust strategies and delivered with rigour, and further developing new cases for support that enable further income generation opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an effective member of the Senior Leadership Team, helping define and deliver organisational strategy and working closely with the CEO/Trustees to impart subject matter expertise.
• Lead the fundraising team to deliver against income targets and maximise new opportunities - developing and implementing an ambitious strategy that allows for supporter growth across regular giving, legacy, trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate and community income streams.
• Take the lead on innovation in the charity's fundraising approach, developing products and offerings whilst considering cost effectiveness and ROI.
• Embed a culture of stewardship across the organisation, ensuring supporters and funding partners are developed with long term support in mind.
• Lead and develop the fundraising team, empowering them to deliver against targets and supporting professional development. 
• Establish engagement and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders (internally and externally).

Person Specification

• Experienced senior fundraising leader, with a breadth of skills and expertise developing and implementing successful multi-stream fundraising strategies.
• Focused on supporter journeys and ensuring exceptional stewardship to drive engagement and income across all donor audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management expertise (internal and external) with an ability to build robust relationships and gain support/commitment.
• Evident organisational development skills with the ability to act as an effective member of SLT and contribute to organisational strategy/plans. 
• Comfortable acting in the capacity of a charity ambassador, establishing new relationships as a consequence and identifying new funding opportunities.

What is the role?

This a 12 Month Maternity contract.

Working within our values and behavioural framework, the role involves closely managing the relationships of our partner organisations (known as Licensed Organisations – LOs) and ensuring those within your portfolio offer quality and inclusive DofE programmes to young people.

While managing these relationships, across your portfolio area in Teesside, you will also identify and develop new relationships with appropriate educational and community organisations to widen the access of the DofE to young people, particularly those who experience marginalisation.

You will be undertaking regular meetings, in person and virtually, engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels within different organisations across your portfolio area. When not out at meetings, you will be working from home.

To undertake the role, you’ll need to be exceptionally organised, have the ability to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and have excellent administrative skills, being both computer literate and competent in MS Office applications.

About the role:

The role of Homicide Caseworker is varied, demanding and rewarding; no two days are the same and you will thrive on this challenge. You will need to be extremely organised and able work independently and as well as being a pro-active, supportive member of a team open to developing your personal resilience.

You will work closely with the Major Crime Police Units, Senior Investigators and Family Liaison Officers, you will provide a pivotal role to support clients through the Criminal Justice System. You will provide support to families by phone and Zoom when their usual Homicide Caseworker is unavailable. You will complete needs assessments, and will coordinate and deliver a tailored package of support alongside our commissioned providers and other key stakeholders.

You will be driven to make a difference every day with the ability to focus on the needs of vulnerable service users. You will have resilience and adaptability; understand the importance of professional boundaries; have excellent listening skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy. You will enjoy the challenge of a busy caseload and will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisation skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload.

As a fully trained Homicide Family Caseworker you will be responsible for managing your own complex caseload to the highest quality standards. This role is part of our remote working team and so you will be home-based, however you will need to be able to travel to work meetings and to attend training as required.

Rights & Security International (RSI) is seeking a Team Leader on International Civic Space to help us take our international work to the next level, especially in Latin America and East Africa. The successful candidate will lead our engagement strategy across Global Majority countries while building and supporting coalitions around country-specific projects.

Fluency in Spanish is required.

Role overview:

After two years of coalition-building with partners, we have developed a network of relationships with human rights activists and groups in El Salvador, Colombia, Brazil, Kenya, Indonesia, the Philippines and elsewhere. We are looking for a strong organiser and human rights advocate to continue building this network and help other groups organise to create impact.

We aim to facilitate civil society groups’ engagement with UN and regional human rights bodies, support grassroots-led research projects through small grants, and facilitate collaborations on shared advocacy projects.

This position reports to the Executive Director and supervises the work of the Eastern Africa Human Rights Assistant (EAHRA).

Person specification:

· Degree in law, human rights, public policy, international development or another relevant field.

· Fluency in spoken and written Spanish as well as English.

· A minimum of 4 years of experience in international human rights advocacy or relevant community organising, including at least some experience in building or leading coalitions.

· Experience in designing and implementing effective plans to achieve reforms.

· Familiarity with the social and political landscape of at least one country in Latin America.

· A record of drafting and publishing human rights analyses or advocacy documents.

· A strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and solid experience of work in multi-cultural environments.  

Optional qualifications:

· Expertise in one or more of the following areas: counter-terrorism issues, climate justice, migrants’ rights, or technology and privacy.

· Please tell us if you are fluent in any languages other than English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

· Create and lead advocacy strategies with partners at the national level in countries such as El Salvador, Colombia and Kenya to stop the human rights abuses that governments commit in the name of ‘national security’.

· Help civil society partners in Global Majority countries take advantage of international advocacy opportunities, including via the Rise Network.

· Oversee a small research grant programme.

· Lead RSI’s role in a major international coalition for civil society on counter-terrorism and human rights.

· Supervise the work of the Eastern Africa Human Rights Assistant.
