We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to deliver HFHGB’s flagship Empty Spaces to Homes programme. This programme aims to provide solutions to Great Britain’s critical affordable housing need through the conversion of empty spaces - including commercial and retail properties - into homes and through researching, advocating and collaborating in coalition with others, to foster a wider uptake of the Empty Spaces to Homes approach.
Reporting to the Director of Programme Delivery and working in close collaboration with subject matter experts responsible for the four workstreams of the programme (Advocacy & Policy, Research, Scalability and Construction), your role will be responsible for all aspects of programme management and coordination, reporting and monitoring. You will also work closely with the Fundraising & Partnerships team to support high quality partnerships and strategic relationships.
You will be joining us at a really exciting time as this is a newly established team on an ambitious transformation journey. You will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude coupled with strong experience of all aspects of programme management and monitoring and excellent communication and engagement skills. Job Purpose
To support Habitat for Humanity GB’s (HFHGB) vision of a decent home for everyone, the organisation has recently completed a strategic review, resulting in a new National Strategy and an organisational restructure, to ensure the organisation is able to deliver the Strategy impactfully, efficiently and effectively.
As a result, a new team has been formed, which will focus on developing and delivering high quality programmes in England, Wales and Scotland. The Empty Spaces to Homes (ES2H) Programme Manager will sit within the new Programme Delivery team and will work collaboratively across the organisation and with a large group of diverse external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include the management of HFHGB’s flagship Empty Spaces to Homes programme which aims to provide solutions to Great Britain’s critical affordable housing need through the conversion of empty spaces, including commercial and retail properties, into homes and through researching, advocating and collaborating in coalition with others to foster a wider uptake of the Empty Spaces to Homes approach. The Empty Spaces to Homes Programme Manager will work across the organisation to coordinate and monitor delivery of activities sitting within the programme. They will also collaborative extensively with teams whose work supports or resources the programme. Working with the Director of Programme Delivery, the Programme Manager will also support external events and activities as well as high quality partnerships and strategic relationships.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Programme Management and Coordination:
- Responsible for programme management of the ES2H programme. Working with the Director of Programme Delivery, and with Subject Matter Experts who are responsible for the four workstreams of the programme (Advocacy & Policy, Research, Scalability, Construction).
- Responsible for the development and utilisation of high-quality programme management tools and internal coordination forums, including for programme planning, performance monitoring, communication, internal and external reporting.
- Working with others, support the development of appropriate Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts, the ES2H Coalition and other partners on the continuous improvement of the ES2H Toolkit, supporting new ideas to fruition, developing content into engaging and appropriate documents and other required communication and programme tools.
- Support Subject Matter Experts and others where appropriate to develop programme and project related reports, to develop proposals and communication content, support impactful partnerships and provide project-related administration capacity.
- Support the Director of Programme Delivery to ensure programme outputs are accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to provide the best possible support to target communities.
External communication and partnership management:
- Support external events and activities as well as high quality partnerships and strategic relationships.
- Work with the Fundraising & Partnerships team to support high quality partnerships and strategic relationships through provision of content for external communication, programme updates and reports, and the maintenance of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning frameworks.
- Lead the coordination of the ES2H Coalition and support the development and management of other programme related networks and groups.
Budget management, reporting and monitoring:
- Support the Director of Programme Delivery to develop the ES2H programme and project budgets.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to monitor and track programme spend, flagging issues and risks, and ensuring regular reports are available for budget holders and the Finance Team.
- Provide regular inputs and updates for relevant sections of the organisational Performance Framework, Risk Register and any other operational requirements.
Person profile:
- Strong experience of programme and project management, coordination and monitoring.
- Experience of working in a similar organisation, collaborating across teams and operating in a highly effective way across a diverse, networked structure.
- Experience of producing impactful content for programme tools and reports, external events, website and other digital platforms.
- Good budget management skills, and a working understanding of Excel.
- Understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning tools and approaches.

Our partner is seeking an Interim Director of Finance to offer a 12 month maternity cover. Your appointment will come at an interesting time, and your leadership will support their expansion plans and new projects, whilst leading on business as usual activities.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation’s scale and income-generation strategy. This includes developing flexible cost models, developing budgets for pilot projects and new projects, and identifying alternate funding opportunities.

- Experience in managing a complex multi-currency, muti-year, multi-country grants portfolio and in fund accounting for charities.

- Advanced MSExcel skills, including a high proficiency in financial modelling.
- Wiling to be hands on, working effectively with staff based in overseas and offering guidance and mentoring as required.

Sitting within the fundraising team you will lead on appeals, individual giving, donor stewardship events and the development of the existing mid-level and major donor programme. In this role you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the county to maximise income generation and share best practise.
The focus of the role is to generate fundraised income from individual donors including HNWI’s. You will develop and implement a portfolio of inspiring campaigns and appeals that aim to connect with our existing supporters, as well driving the acquisition of new supporters, particularly through regular giving. You will also grow our fundraising revenue, building a robust major donor prospect portfolio, forging meaningful connections with our existing and new donors and nurturing long term relationships. As a member of the fundraising team, you will collaborate with fellow fundraisers and the Head of Fundraising to shape, refine, and execute our fundraising strategy.
You will have a good understanding and knowledge of growing individual income streams, combined with a natural ability to collaborate across teams and enjoy creating new and exciting fundraising appeals and campaigns. Most importantly you must have a passion for fundraising and the ambition to grow income and increase donor recruitment and retention. This is a brilliant role for someone looking to further their experience in individual giving and work as a senior member of the fundraising team.

We are seeking a proactive and creative Media Officer to enhance the visibility, reach, and impact of New Capital Consensus and Radix Big Tent. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing media relations, crafting compelling content, and executing strategic communication campaigns to engage diverse audiences, including policymakers, business leaders, and the wider public.

Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is looking to engage the services of a results-oriented consultant with great people skills to set up CAP projects in high harm areas.
The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.
A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas
· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation
· Raise the profile of CAPs in Scotland and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders
Specific duties to include the following:
o Represent CAP at all operational meetings
o Ensure that Retail of Alcohol Standards Group (RASG) member companies play a full delivery role in each CAP where they operate as businesses.
o Liaise as appropriate with strategic leads within local enforcement authorities and other partner organisations to initiate and complete agreed actions
o Encourage all projects to achieve positive local media coverage including via social media and regional news/broadcast media
o Ensure that all projects carry out as a minimum a baseline (pre-CAP) evaluation and post intervention evaluation following the CAP evaluation framework and project management survey tools
o Produce a monthly progress report on all schemes and pipeline activity
o Attend and participate in regular CAP update meetings on Microsoft teams (x12 pa)
o Assist with event planning and profile-raising opportunities such as MSP visits to CAP projects
Skills, attributes and experience
- Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, Alcohol and Drug Partnerships, police, retailers and licensing
- Excellent organisational and sound project management skills
- Great people skills with the ability to build consensus and motivate partners to play a role in timely delivery of an agreed action plan
- Act as an ambassador for CAP at meetings and events including parliamentary events
- Excellent presentation and all-round communication skills
- Capable administrator with the ability to keep accurate records including data collection around outputs and impact evaluation
Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. Work will depend on ability to generate interest in setting up new CAPs but we anticipate as a guideline engaging a minimum of 2.5 days of consultancy per week or around 100 days per annum. All reasonable and agreed travel expenses will be paid in line with invoice arrangements.
