The YUVA service supports young people aged 11-18 who have used violence or abuse toward family members or intimate partners. Our behavioural change programme works to help young people identify their abusive behaviours and develop healthy coping and communication patterns.

In this role, you will provide a range of admin support to the team which will include taking and managing referrals into the service, keeping database and client records, facilitating room and interpreter bookings and attending, contributing to and taking minutes at team meetings.

Enthusiastic and keen to develop, you’ve got good communication skills and a professional telephone manner as well as experience of maintaining computer databases. It goes without saying that you are able to prioritise a busy workload and work to deadlines and you’ll be keen to work within an organisation that works both with young people who use abuse and families who have experienced domestic violence.

Your new role

• Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance and working closely alongside the Finance Systems Analyst.
• Assist with managing and maintaining financial systems and financial related software applications. These include Access Dimensions and focal point, Donor Strategy, budgeting tools and financial reporting platforms.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of financial systems, troubleshooting technical issues and supporting finance teams.
• Assist with resolving system-related queries from users as well as provide user training and documentation across the finance department.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standardised financial reporting templates, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

What you'll need to succeed

• Hold an IT or equivalent degree / qualification or experience and well-developed knowledge of IT and Financial Systems.
• Demonstrated finance software experience. Specifically, experience using Power BI, Power Query or other Microsoft applications.
• Experience / knowledge of SQL and data integration techniques.
• Familiarity with database management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot system-related issues and accounting imbalances.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Senior policy advisor to lead our policy and strategy work on housing finance.

You will use your policy and strategy skills to influence national housing policy on behalf of our housing association members. This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working, you will be co-located in the Housing department at Merton Civic Centre as well as working from home.

About the role:

This role is a hybrid working role co-located in the Housing department of Merton Civic Centre.

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.
• Have a strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
