About the Role
The Programme Officer plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day delivery of small to medium-sized contracts at Social Development Direct. Sitting within the Programme Management Unit, the role supports day-to-day project operations and finance throughout the project cycle, including tracking delivery against agreed workplans and budgets, managing project risks, ensuring compliance with Client regulations, invoicing and related financial management, maintaining positive and meaningful relationships with Clients, partners and technical experts within SDDirect and across our broad network of consultants and associates. To be successful as a Programme Officer, you will have some demonstrable experience in a project management support role, will be able to work independently while maintaining excellent relations with other business functions (Finance, HR, Business Development, Technical Team), and have acute attention to detail.
About the Team
The cornerstone of SDDirect's operational delivery, the Programme Management Unit works closely with other teams across the company, particularly Finance and Technical, to ensure seamless delivery, quality and professionalism across all our projects, no matter how big or small. Our purpose is to plan, organize and manage resources and timelines to deliver our work successfully while ensuring these constraints stay in balance throughout the lifetime of each project. The PMU also supports corporate operations such as client billing, corporate forecasting, risk management, travel, etc.

Job Vacancy – Regional Adviser
The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is looking for an experienced, proactive and customer focused adviser to support the work of the wider Advice and Support team
The post holder will be responsible for the Midlands area plus other areas as required with an expectation of completing in person visits across the allocated counties. The role therefore requires access to your own vehicle and to reliable broadband. A car allowance and mileage will be paid on top of the salary.
The right candidate will enjoy and excel at building relationships and supporting individuals and families in distress and in times of need using skills and experiences to give clear information advice and guidance as well as supporting with applications for a charitable grant. Experience of managing their own diary and workload as well as significant experience of working in an educational, health or social care environment is essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential for this role along with the ability to show empathy.
IT equipment and a company mobile phone will also be provided. An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
Please note that whilst this is a remote role, there is a significant in person requirement that means weekly travel across all areas of the allocated counties and an initial expectation as part of the induction to attend the London office.

About the Masonic Charitable Foundation
The Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) is one of the UK’s leading charities, providing a range of benevolent support to individuals and awarding grants to local and national charities.

Our Regional Advisers are home-based workers who are compassionate and dedicated to responding to the needs of Freemasons and their dependents in their area, providing essential support. Their main purpose is to visit and contact members of the Masonic community to determine their needs and to help them to access support from the MCF and other relevant agencies. Support is provided through a combination of home visits, telephone calls, or video calling.
The role also provides guidance, support and recommendations to office based staff processing applications for our extensive range of grants to support those in need. They form close and effective working relationships with local volunteers, providing support and guidance to extend our reach.
Main responsibilities
- Responding to/visiting freemasons and their dependents to:
- provide support and advice; and
- determine relevant support from the MCF or other agencies to meet their needs
- Face-to-face visits, video conferencing and in-depth telephone calls are required to provide extensive and detailed support.
- Production of accurate and comprehensive reports detailing agreed plans and all relevant supporting documents
- Liaising with colleagues within the department to provide guidance and support in processing applications for our extensive range of grants to assist those in need
- Ambassadorial role for MCF, liaising with other stakeholders, delivering occasional presentations and workshops to raise awareness of the role of the Advice, Support and Enquiries Team and support available from the MCF
Essential

DEBRA is seeking members for its Charitable Purposes Committee to inform to inform and develop the Charity’s evolving care and research strategy. Our Charitable Purposes Committee advises our Board of Trustees and is responsible for ensuring that the Charity’s resources are used effectively to support our provision of lifelong care and support for sufferers of the genetic skin disorder Epidermolysis Bullosa, and to support our investments in cutting edge research to find a cure for this debilitating condition.
Key responsibilities of the Charitable Purposes Committee are to:
- Review DEBRA UK’s Research & Care Strategy as it relates to research, health and community support and social policy on an ongoing basis.
- Receive and review reports from medical and scientific experts on current research activities.
- Determine, taking appropriate advice, the priorities for care and research expenditure each year.
- Oversee collaborative partnerships on care and research.
- Develop membership engagement, support and services.
- Review and develop healthcare initiatives to support member care.
- Receive reports on changes in national policy or practice within health and social care and agree appropriate responses from the Charity.
We provide any training necessary to allow you to fulfil your committee duties. This is an unpaid volunteer role, but any reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed in line with the Charity’s expenses policy.
Meetings of the Charitable Purposes Committee currently take place four times a year, each lasting between 2.5-3 hours. The term of appointment is three years.

The Wilder Communities Officer will inspire and support community-led action for wildlife and empower local people to create more wildlife rich spaces on their doorstep. Project summary - Species Recovery for Chalk Steams – Wilder Communities
Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust has secured a grant from the Species Survival Fund, a partnership between Defra and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The Species Survival Fund is enabling the Trust to deliver an ambitious restoration programme for our chalk river and wetland habitats across 11.15km of the River Lea Catchment in Hertfordshire. As part of the project, with additional funding, the Trust will be working in local communities to highlight the importance of our chalk streams and wetland habitats and enabling groups and individuals to take their own local action for wildlife.
This community organising work will initially focus on communities in and around Welwyn Garden City and Hertford.

The post holder will provide support for children, adolescents and their families who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. They will deliver evidence-based 1:1 and group interventions across various sites in Waltham Forest. These interventions will employ the principles of the CYP-IAPT initiative. The post holder will develop partnerships with key individuals across youth services, CAMHs clinicians, and Education providers to support the development and improvement of children’s Mental Health Services in the borough.

The ideal candidate will have an innovative approach and a strong track record in fundraising from large institutional donors; trusts and foundations, corporate foundations and governments. The main objective of the role is to identify, prospect and approach new institutional donors, converting them from prospects to secured funds. The role will be roughly 70% fundraising and 30% grant management.
As well as a demonstrable track-record securing large, multi-year grants from different types of funders, you will have experience with their thematic areas: women’s economic empowerment, value chains, livelihoods or enterprise acceleration. Experience working in development projects in Eastern Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe. Experience in Afghanistan would be a plus.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the People Partner will act as a strategic HR advisor, fostering strong relationships with our teams and services to support their People needs and drive key initiatives.

MLC are working with a leading care organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner to support them following a period of growth.
Reporting into a supportive, dynamic and people-centric Head of Finance, the role works closely with stakeholders across the organisation, with a specific focus on the care homes and supported living side of the business. Main responsibilities of the role:
- Provide business partnering services across the commercial directorate, including the Legal Director and the Property Director.

- Support a range of stakeholders with the management of their budgets, holding managers accountable where necessary and overseeing a budget of circa £50m.
- Be one of the ‘faces of finance’, working with the Head of Finance on various SLT and board level reports.
The role is responsible for the whole business area and has end to end oversight of projects within the care and support area. With almost £200m in fixed assets and a major £25m capital expenditure project about to get underway, the role manages a sizeable portfolio which will be highly beneficial for your CV. Reporting to the Management Accountant, the Finance Assistant will support the Finance Team, providing financial and administrative services for our business. The Finance team sits within our Central Services division.

- Accounts payable and receivables: controls and processes
- Processing purchase invoices: entering and coding invoices (including VAT) in Xero managing the approval workflow (by cost centre budget holders) as required
- Setting up weekly payment runs, expense pay runs and individual payments as required
- Maintaining the aged purchase ledger ensuring invoices are accounted for on receipt and tracked through to payment
- Supplier set-up: ensure appropriate supplier information is obtained
- Raising sales and recharge invoices on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Bank reconciliation process
- Posting cash journals to record payments/receipts from bank statements into the ledger
- Processing and posting payroll journal
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and other standard month end processes

- Assisting with general finance-related inquiries and correspondence received via the generic finance email inbox.

Main Purpose of Job
The Young Carers Project Worker will be responsible for planning, orgnaising and delivering sessions for young carers in the Northolt and Greenford areas of Ealing. They will provide individual and group support in a variety of settings in the local community as well as working closely with schools to identify new young carers and drive referrals to the project.
About You
You will have experience of working with young people, and building postive relationships with them. You will also have knowledge in working and setting up youth clubs.
The postholder will have a good understanding ofproject management, meeting deadlines and planning and delivering on sessions.
Good communication skills is essential, with the experience of building positive relationships with young people. You should also have an ability to deal calmly and effectivelly with emotional and challenging situations with participants, as well as having a commitment to equalities, and challenging discrimination and creating environments of respect and trust.
This role will invovle working evenings (once a week), school holidays (daytime) and occasional weekends (ad-hoc e.g. chaperone football matches).
