This is a key new role for the public fundraising team at Sense, focused specifically on the challenges/mass participation events portfolio. Sense emphasises a fundraising culture that focuses on relationships, rather than transactions - ensuring that their supporters can engage with the organisation in a holistic manner and inspiring them to do more for the charity and those it supports. 

This role leads the national events portfolio, which includes a £1m+ London Marathon Event. As Head of National Events you'll bring a creative approach to challenge events fundraising at Sense, driving growth of income while reviewing and diversifying the broader portfolio of opportunities available to the charity. 

Given the current weighting to third party events you'll consider how to maximise the potential of these opportunities, assessing the drivers of supporters to fundraise on behalf of Sense and engage with the charity. Alongside this, you'll look at the scope of opportunities to develop new charity-owned events, also considering the possibilities for virtual events within this context. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 4 (2 direct reports) to drive income growth, innovation and integrated supporter engagement activities. 
• Lead the development of the National Events strategy, creating a balanced portfolio of offerings and ensuring consistent delivery of high quality supporter engagement materials.
• Oversee the delivery of all third party and charity-owned events activity.
• Identify opportunities for new events, partnerships and products - further diversifying the organisation's events portfolio by leading on product development. 

Person Specification:

• Expertise in managing challenge event fundraising teams, with a track record of generating growth in participation and income.
• Experience in bringing new events to market - from inception to launch and review.
• Strong team leadership skills - establishing a culture focused on innovation and creativity, whilst supporting staff performance and development.
• Experience in managing stakeholders at all levels, including external suppliers/contacts.
• Passionate about using data to inform decisions, identifying actionable insights and adapting strategies accordingly.

The British Educational Research Association (BERA) is seeking a Publications Manager to oversee its publishing programme during a period of maternity leave. You will oversee our four academic journals, Research Intelligence magazine, the BERA Blog, book series, research reports and more. The role involves collaboration with BERA staff, committees, editorial teams, members and external partners to support our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Publications Management: Developing BERA’s publications portfolio, maintaining standards, managing relationships and recommending activities.

Its work is overseen by a Chief Executive appointed by Council, who is responsible for, and has oversight of, all BERA’s functions and activities. ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver an excellent experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

The North & East of Scotland is an area filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from hospitals across the region, and our Home from Home, ‘Ciaran’s House’ in Edinburgh, enables families to stay close to their loved one for free during treatment, so building relationships with these teams are a must.

Candidates should live within North & East Scotland, in one of the following counties: Aberdeenshire, Angus, Clackmannanshire, Dundee, Edinburgh & the Lothians, Fife, Highland, Inverness, Moray or Perth & Kinross. The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. The Role

As a Park Officer, you will assist in the management of Greenwich Park, focusing on developing and enhancing contract and service delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake pivotal role as Membership Officer with Connect.  The successful applicant will have a strong administrative background with excellent customer service skills and time management.  As the first point of contact for Connect you will have a key role to play in promoting the services of the scheme and encouraging membership and engagement. Overall Duties of the Membership Officer will include:

• Being the first contact for promoting the benefits Connect Membership to potential members.
• Providing assistance and/or signposting for members communications and enquiries.
• Working closely with the Connect Lead and other internal colleagues create administrative systems and processes supporting membership.
• Data collection and analysis, requiring exemplary record keeping.
• Assisting with organising events and other membership activities.
• Supporting quality assurance processes within the Connect programme by establishing new and / or refining existing systems.
• To work closely with TACT colleagues to enable Connect's strategies and objectives.

The Membership Officer may be homebased within England, Scotland or Wales and may be required to travel to face-to-face meetings occasionally for training and team wellbeing events.

Salary:  £29,486 per annum Band D, Level 3 (inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

About The Communications Support Officer Role:

Come and join our Internal Communications Team, we’re a small but friendly bunch. It’s an exciting time to join the Scouts as we embark on a period of Transformation, and there’s lots to communicate! 

You’ll support our Communications Managers to make sure our communications are volunteer focused and delivered at the right time. You’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop as you learn how to use our main channels including email, CMS and webinar. You’ll get to work alongside all members of the wider Marketing & Fundraising team, and the wider organisation.

What we are looking for in our Communications Support Officer: 

This role is perfect for you if you are passionate about planning, delivering and measuring the impact of clear communications.

You will also have: 

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines with good attention to detail 
• Basic ability to use email marketing systems (e.g. dotdigital/dotmailer),
• Ability to work with a content management system (for example, Umbraco) and Google Analytics to review and refine content
• Ability to draft engaging copy for a wide range of different audiences
• Ability to work with and manipulate data within excel spreadsheets confidently
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and external providers and partners.
• Ability to understand, interpret and interrogate content challenges and co-create appropriate responses with subject experts

This role will work with people experiencing homelessness to share their stories, ensuring their voices are front and centre in our communications.

Contract: Four-month fixed term contract - ideal start date Friday 30 September 2024

Location: London office based with working from home in line with Crisis’ hybrid working. This role will require occasional evening, public holiday, and weekend work, particularly over the Christmas period. This is likely to include 26-27-28-29 December. About the role

As Christmas Stories Officer, you will work closely with Crisis at Christmas guests and Crisis members with lived experience of homelessness to share their stories.

As part of the Stories team, you will visit Crisis at Christmas services and build relationships with guests, provide them with the information they need to make an informed decision about sharing their stories and support them through the process. You will work with them to create packages of creative story content that may include photos, video, or written content.  

You will support the Stories team in Christmas planning and delivering the storytelling during Crisis at Christmas. You will lead on editing, reviewing, and signing off content with Christmas guests in a safe and ethical way.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be a creative storyteller who is able to collaborate and build relationships with a wide variety of people.

You’ll be a great writer and editor who loves to tell interesting stories. You may have experience interviewing people, and you’ll enjoy building relationships and rapport with others. You may have experience in photography too.

You will be passionate about supporting people to get their voice heard, and about ending homelessness. Your knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and your attention to detail will ensure processes are followed to share stories safely and ethically.

You’ll be able to manage your work independently and work as part of a team, and you might have some project management experience.  

You may have experience in, journalism, stories roles, PR and media, marketing, campaigning, oral history, co-production, photography, videography, content production.
