Transport for All is looking for a Head of Research and Training to lead and grow our work on Justice in Practice: where disabled people’s lived experience is meaningfully embedded, appropriately compensated, and responded to in the transport sector and beyond. We have a bold plan for the next five years, and need someone who can support the team to deliver in line with our values.

As a member of the leadership team, you’ll secure funding for and lead delivery of our own research projects, and research projects with the transport industry, academia, charities and other organisations. You’ll lead a unique, disabled-led research and training team who are dedicated to removing barriers to transport for disabled people. This isn’t about gathering yet more evidence – it’s about responding to the lived experience of our diverse community and using research and training to drive change.

Recent projects including collaborating with Sustrans on the Disabled Citizens Inquiry into Walking and Wheeling, facilitating product testing by disabled people of an external organisation’s app for planning barrier-free walking, wheeling and cycling routes, and grant-funded research into removing barriers to accessing transport concessionary schemes. You’ll also lead and develop our Disability Equality Training offering – disabled-led training sessions for transport practitioners that lead to a culture change in the sector.

This is a new role, and the post holder will have opportunities to shape the scope and ways of working of the role – and the wider organisation – to aid delivery of the strategy. As a result, please note that the role is not limited to the elements included here, and has potential to evolve.

You’ll work in a small & friendly team to lead and deliver a programme of virtual fundraising challenges  and with plans to grow our current virtual flagship event to include an in-person element. About SCEC

SCEC was founded over twenty years ago to provide learning enrichment opportunities to primary school children in disadvantaged communities in south London. Together with our partners, several leading independent schools, we currently operate four schemes in math, literacy, science and art. Children learn through fun, engaging group activities like science experiments, storytelling and mathematical treasure hunts, all taught by qualified teachers with added support from student mentors. Your Role

The Scheme Director is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping SCEC extend its reach. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will help SCEC design and implement an expansion programme as well as coordinating the delivery of the existing schemes via our school partners. You will also serve as a trusted partner to the Board in the administration of the charity.

Similar to a COO, this role straddles the operational and the strategic. About the team

About you

You’ll have experience of designing and delivering internal communications and engagement plans, as well as being able to implement a range of techniques to engage diverse audiences in organisational change. You’ll know what drives engagement, how to nurture strengths and deliver areas for improvement. What’s more, you’ll have knowledge about developing and integrating organisational values and behaviours and you’ll have experience of implementing listening strategies, including managing a framework of tools to capture views.

You’re adept at developing excellent relationships and can interact effectively with diverse internal audiences. You’ll be confident in devising research, analysing data and creating summary reports. As well as having experience of managing projects and producing events, you’ll also have advanced digital skills and knowledge of tools to communicate effectively. As Philanthropy Manager, you will be a key player in securing philanthropic gifts for paediatric medical research as the charity makes it largest ever investment into child health research, as well as other areas of GOSH Charity’s work, including our largest appeal to date for the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH. 

The salary for this position is £38,387 per annum. 

About You
 
We’re looking for an experienced and creative relationship manager with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. You are a proactive individual, with experience in shaping fundraising initiatives or similar projects effectively in partnership with key stakeholders. You are a positive team player with a professional, solution focused approach. 

You’ll have:

- Proven experience of philanthropy fundraising or an equivalent field with a track record of initiating new high-value relationships and managing long-term donor/client relationships.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills with great attention to detail, and an ability to digest complex programmes of research, flexing your style according to the audience. 
- Experience and/or understanding of philanthropy within the healthcare and/or a medical research setting.
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise multiple tasks, work under pressure and within tight deadlines. 

 
About the Team
 
The Philanthropy Manager sits within the Philanthropy team – part of the Relationship Fundraising division within the wider Fundraising Directorate. The team focuses on securing gifts from high net-worth individuals and charitable foundations and manages a substantial high value programme. The Philanthropy Manager will sit within a sub-team of three fundraisers – a Philanthropy Executive, a Philanthropy Manager, with both being managed by a Senior Philanthropy Manager.

The Supporter Care Coordinator role sits within the Supporter Experience team, whose goal is to ensure that all Scope supporters, whether they are giving time, money, or voice, have the best experience each time they interact with us.

The role 

The Supporter Care team is the first point of contact for all supporter and donor queries, so you will be at the frontline, engaging with a variety of people contacting Scope. The role of the Supporter Care Coordinator is to ensure that each of these people feels appreciated, informed, and satisfied after engaging with Scope, leaving them feeling valued and committed to giving their ongoing support.

You will:

• Be responsible for handling incoming queries from supporters, across telephone, email, and post, as well handling outbound supporter service calls and other communications.
• Process donations from different channels and sources, thanking supporters in a timely manner and maintaining good records of these actions.
• Report to the Supporter Care Team Leader, and sit within the wider Fundraising team.
• Work closely with colleagues across the directorate, providing support in key periods, and contributing to overall fundraising income goals and an improved supporter experience.

Bromley Mental Health Hub forms part of the community transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley under the NHS Long-Term Plan. The service brings together the expertise of local primary, secondary and voluntary sector mental health care providers with the aim of providing flexible, holistic and integrated services for adults with mental health problems.

We are looking for a Mental Health Advisor with experience of working within mental health services, including to support prevention, recovery and self-management. Applicants should have experience in completing assessments, managing a diverse caseload and working in a busy work environment, and possess effective skills in communication. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

The role will involve:

• Management of a diverse caseload
