As part of an international movement and in partnership with 2 million farmers and workers, The Fairtrade Foundation works towards a world where all producers enjoy secure and sustainable livelihoods, fulfil their potential, and decide on their own futures. We also make sure that farmers and workers hold a strong voice at every level of Fairtrade, from how they invest in and run their local organisations to having an equal say in Fairtrade’s global decision-making. In support of this mission, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Data Quality Assistant to join our Finance & Business Intelligence team.

It is crucial that we have high quality data, particularly in regard to the volumes of Fairtrade certified commodities that are being sold in different products. In this role you will support the monitoring and continuous improvement of our  data quality, ensure that issues are addressed quickly and at source, conduct regular reviews of operational data, and support our core public fundraising processes. The ideal candidate will be confident working with large data sets, be highly organised and have a very keen eye for detail. They will be a problem solver and a detective, able to spot things that look wrong and then identify the cause through investigation of process and discussions with key stakeholders. They will be a team player who works well with others, and is driven to deliver our shared goal of delivering trade justice for the farmers and workers who we support.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Fundraising Administrator to join one of our charity clients for a12 month contact. 

The Role:

You will be the backbone of the philanthropy team, ensuring the smooth running of administrative tasks and providing vital support in managing donor relationships. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to handle confidential information will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Philanthropy team.
• Coordinate meetings for key groups, including arranging logistics, communicating invitations, and distributing papers and minutes.
• Serve as an alternative point of contact for team enquiries, managing the general email inbox and directing enquiries appropriately.

We are delighted to be working with the charity to recruit a permanent Financial Controller to join its established team based in conveniently located offices in Central London. 

The role:

Reporting directly to the COO, the Financial Controller will ensure the provision of consistent, robust financial advice to the charity as a whole.  This person will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance and financial operations, ensuring these are compliant with statutory requirements and appropriate and effective financial controls are in place. They will also maintain a financial planning framework that will facilitate the delivery of the charity's financial strategy. This will involve managing one direct report, overseeing all financial reporting and tax compliance, preparing the charity’s management accounts and the end of year accounts for approval and sign off by the Trustees. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing an annual financial audit process preparing the annual budgets in advance for SLT sign off and providing sound financial advice across all of these areas.

This person will also manage all external relationships with banks, financial institutions, property Investors and auditors wherever Finance is the main issue being dealt with. This person will also oversee all Grants related financial transactions in close collaboration with the Grants department.

The person:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and will be able to provide excellent financial management and reporting for the Charity. They will be confident working with different internal stakeholders and external professional advisors and will be capable of considering their different requirements and priorities in a knowledgeable way. This person will have excellent attention to detail and will be highly organised and a strong communicator across a wide range of audiences. Educated to Degree level or the equivalent (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA), this person will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication and will be up to date on all MS Office packages and financial software including SAGE being essential.

Candidates with prior experience of working with endowed Trusts, Foundations or Charities or who have worked in Charities that have income derived from a permanent endowment (either partially or totally), will be of particular interest, so please draw attention to this when applying.

This person will have demonstrated substantial financial management experience at a senior level in the Charity or Not-for-Profit sectors, with extensive knowledge of UK Charity Accounting Standards (SORP, Charity Commission compliance and VAT). Also experienced in strategic financial planning, preparing complex financial statements, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, and have good knowledge of financial planning in a Funder or Grant-Maker setting. As our income is generated from our endowment which consists of both significant property holdings and financial investments a substantial experience of managing income and cashflow from property and investments is essential.

About the oppurtunity:
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2) and key stage 4 (KS4) maths tutoring programmes through subject-specific training of volunteer tutors, and by advising and supporting our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day.

You will also observe and give feedback to volunteer tutors delivering maths tuition, and deliver general training for new volunteers, so that they are confident and effective in taking part in our tutoring programmes.

Specific responsibilities relating to the role:

Supporting the delivery of our maths curriculum: 

• Design and deliver online maths-focused training for volunteer tutors so that subject knowledge is secure within the tutor community.
• Provide advice and support, including some direct tutor communications, on subject-specific matters for Action Tutoring staff who manage volunteer tutors.
• Maintain existing tutoring GCSE and KS2 maths curriculum resources to ensure volunteer tutors have high quality materials to use in sessions.
• Support Action Tutoring’s Programme Department to provide and respond to requests for additional materials for tutoring sessions, particularly maths sessions.

• Observe several virtual tutoring sessions a week. Make detailed and unbiased notes on tutor skills, craft empathetic constructive feedback in emails.
• Support our programme delivery team to craft communications and feedback to tutors.
• Produce ‘quality tips’ and resources for tutors and staff.
• Work with Action Tutoring’s volunteer engagement team to feedback trends so that the quality assurance process at the tutor application stage is as strong as possible.

Delivering volunteer tutor training:

• Support the Training Manager by delivering up to four virtual initial tutor training sessions a week during peak months, presenting Action Tutoring’s established training content.
• Support the Training Manager by contributing updates to tutor training content.
• Create content for tutor CPD materials to support with maths tutoring.

Qualifications criteria: 

• Qualified secondary school teacher of Mathematics
• At least two year’s teaching experience in English state schools with an understanding of the barriers facing disadvantaged pupils

Leading our communications team, the Head of Communications is responsible for strategic and tactical communications activity at ShareAction, covering both traditional media and our digital team.

As the Head of Communications, you will lead the team to business partner with all functions of ShareAction, from campaigning on the European banking sector to policy advocacy and our presence at AGMs.

A usual week will see you scanning the landscape, advising on reputation and positioning on emerging issues, as well as overseeing the delivery of tactical media and digital outputs.

The White Rose Forest Development Manager is a new role that will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new fundraising function and strategy for the White Rose Forest, with support from the White Rose Forest Programme Director, the wider White Rose Forest team, partners and other stakeholders.

We are looking for a confident and experienced fundraiser who can draw on their previous record of success in a similar role to build relationships with a range of potential funders and secure the best opportunities to grow our non-Government project and unrestricted income. From setting up a charitable function for the White Rose Forest to developing our fundraising strategy, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape this new role. You will also be able to call on the expertise and experience within the Community Forest Trust and our England’s Community Forests network to support your work.

The Development Manager will be employed through the Community Forest Trust on behalf of the White Rose Forest and will work as part of the WRF core team. The post holder will have access to all systems available to the wider team, and training opportunities as required.

The Development Manager, as with all members of the central WRF team, will work from home without an office base. About the role:

We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). This is a full time role on fixed term contract. Hybrid working would be available for this role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who live in Central Bedfordshire. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Bedfordshire.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training
• Supporting the Daily Domestic Abuse meeting in the IFD (Integrated Front Door), which discusses all medium/standard risk referrals that have come in over the previous 24 hours and agrees on the most appropriate source of advice and support for the family.
• Attending the BRiF meetings weekly where community partners bring concerns about family's they are working with including concerns about standard/medium domestic abuse.
• Professional point of contact for the IFD and Adult Safeguarding teams (also based at Priory House).
• Point of contact for any concerns staff have about their own relationships and dynamics of domestic abuse they need support with

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

Your responsibilities

1. Campaigns (50% of time)

· Develop strategic campaign goals and deliver inclusive, impactful campaigns, rooted in lived experience, in collaboration with colleagues and Transport for All members

· Use a range of techniques, including e-campaigning, direct action, and events, to engage and mobilise members and alliies

· Lead on using an online campaigning tool (e.g. Action Network), supporting and growing our campaigning members, while ensuring that accessible, offline actions are given equal weighting

· Work closely with the Communications and Engagement team to ensure campaign content is timely, accessible, and effective

· Build partnerships with other Disabled People’s Organisations and charities to amplify campaign efforts

· Monitor and report on campaign impact and key performance indicators (KPIs)

· Ensure campaigns reflect Transport for All’s values and centre disabled people’s lived experiences

2. Public Affairs (40% of time)

· Communicate Transport for All’s policy positions to MPs, civil servants, mayors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders

· Build and maintain relationships with political stakeholders, including elected officials and sector partners

· Represent Transport for All at external meetings, conferences, and events

· Monitor and respond to political developments, identifying timely opportunities for influence

· Collaborate with the Policy and Public Affairs Officer to ensure consistent and coordinated external messaging

3. Cross team working (10% of time)

· Work closely with the Policy and Public Affairs Officer to align public affairs and campaign activity with our co-designed policy positions

· Contribute to internal reporting, including updates for funders and the board

Playing a supporting role on the highest-level partnership opportunities, this role will also have its own pipeline of corporate prospects focusing on opportunities with a value of £100k+. From researching prospects (across multiple sectors) to cultivating relationships with companies and pitching for partnerships, this role will be responsible for the whole journey of securing a new corporate partner. 
This is predominantly a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel to attend partner meetings, team days and sector events, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be willing to travel when required.
