Rights & Security International (RSI) is seeking a part-time Finance and Grant Management Officer to maintain our internal financial controls, assist with budgeting, and oversee our expenditures, especially by continually tracking our grant spending.
The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of financial management, and will be comfortable creating budgets and forecasts. Ideally, they will be familiar with charity funding, especially restricted grants.

- An appropriate qualification or degree in a field such as finance or accounting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the expenditure of restricted and unrestricted grant funds; carry out grant monitoring and reporting.

- Periodically review and update RSI’s internal financial controls.
- Assist with monthly management accounts and annual audits.
- Review staff requests for reimbursement.
- Assist the Executive Director and Development Officer in liaising with current and potential funders, as needed.

Your Job Description
As a Youth Project Leader, you will:
• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.
• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.
• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.
• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.
• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.
• Complete monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the sessions are as impactful as possible and set up strategies with the help of your line manager to help each young person in your group reach their mentoring goal.
• Keep in touch with the parents/carers of the young people in your group about attendance, successes and challenges.
• Manage your project’s weekly admin by planning your sessions, maintaining your attendance and providing detailed project updates to your line manager.

About the role
You’ll be responsible for leading the development of our Procurement Strategy and the associated policies and processes, as well as managing key procurement activity, increasing the skills of colleagues and developing our approach to reporting and compliance. As a Sport Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering varied activity sessions for both adults and young people across different services, both internally and externally. You will work closely with the Sport Manager to effectively coordinate support from freelancers and volunteers. Your role will extend to broadening the accessibility of sports and exercise within SHP's services and among its residents, for both adults and the young people we support. The Role
This role is the perfect opportunity for someone with extensive knowledge of corporate/charity partnerships who can deliver against the Barratt Foundations charitable strategy, delivering impact across a large number of charity partners, and using their expertise to maximise fundraising, volunteering and communication objectives.
Additionally, the role involves recruiting, briefing, and supporting Barratt colleagues to increase employee fundraising, volunteering, and involvement in charitable activities across the business. Proactive engagement with Barratt Divisions and employees to raise the profile of the Foundation is essential. The role also requires leading important projects across volunteering, fundraising, governance, and reporting to support the Foundation in its exciting start-up phase. The role also includes working with the Employee Communications team to develop clear and compelling adverts, case studies, and news articles about Foundation activities.

Purpose of job
The purpose of this role is to recruit, support, retain and develop volunteers and help lead volunteers gain additional skills that benefit our community as a whole. You will ensure that each project has sufficient volunteers and at least one lead volunteer with the skills necessary to ensure the projects are successful and meet their outcomes and impacts. Work with MCFT’s Project Lead post holder to help upskill our lead volunteers with the aim of projects being community managed by lead volunteers with support from MCFT rather than managed and led by MCFT staff.
We are keen to ensure that we retain our volunteers and that they have the opportunity to gain new skills and attain their goals. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for developing a suite of accredited and informal qualifications, skills and knowledge to help our lead volunteers manage projects or move our volunteers and lead volunteers into paid work should they chose to move on. This is a key new role for the public fundraising team at Sense, focused specifically on the challenges/mass participation events portfolio. Sense emphasises a fundraising culture that focuses on relationships, rather than transactions - ensuring that their supporters can engage with the organisation in a holistic manner and inspiring them to do more for the charity and those it supports.
This role leads the national events portfolio, which includes a £1m+ London Marathon Event. As Head of National Events you'll bring a creative approach to challenge events fundraising at Sense, driving growth of income while reviewing and diversifying the broader portfolio of opportunities available to the charity.
Given the current weighting to third party events you'll consider how to maximise the potential of these opportunities, assessing the drivers of supporters to fundraise on behalf of Sense and engage with the charity. Alongside this, you'll look at the scope of opportunities to develop new charity-owned events, also considering the possibilities for virtual events within this context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 4 (2 direct reports) to drive income growth, innovation and integrated supporter engagement activities.
- Lead the development of the National Events strategy, creating a balanced portfolio of offerings and ensuring consistent delivery of high quality supporter engagement materials.
- Oversee the delivery of all third party and charity-owned events activity.
- Identify opportunities for new events, partnerships and products - further diversifying the organisation's events portfolio by leading on product development.
Person Specification:
- Expertise in managing challenge event fundraising teams, with a track record of generating growth in participation and income.
- Experience in bringing new events to market - from inception to launch and review.
- Strong team leadership skills - establishing a culture focused on innovation and creativity, whilst supporting staff performance and development.
- Experience in managing stakeholders at all levels, including external suppliers/contacts.
- Passionate about using data to inform decisions, identifying actionable insights and adapting strategies accordingly.
