Identifying opportunities to push forward our agenda with high-level decision-makers, including through convening meetings and events and actively contributing to events held by others.
-
Reactive policy work such as media requests, writing blogs, producing briefings and responding to consultations.
-
Contributing your ideas to team discussions about the overarching strategy for our policy and research work.
This role sits within the Policy and Research team and a core aspect of the role will be the ability to shape research and insights for policy and sector audiences. You will also support with the analysis of research in relation to policy related tasks.
About you
The successful candidate will have professional experience of working in policy, public affairs, or a closely related field. Although not mandatory, it is desirable that they have knowledge of online safety and/or tech policy.

LGBTQI people are criminalised in more than 60 countries in the world and society persecutes and discriminates against them in even more countries. Those LGBTQI people who fear for their lives are sometimes able to reach the UK and claim asylum on the basis of their LGBTQI status. After going through the asylum determination process, successful LGBTQI claimants are subject to a number of further issues, including social isolation and poverty, that extend their experience of marginalisation and exclusion in their new country.
If you are passionate about supporting LGBTQI people fleeing persecution and have a policy background do check the JD and PS on our website.
