Our ambassadors are a network of volunteers, based across England – organising fundraising activities, representing the charity in their local area and helping to engage people with the work of the charity.

Ways to get involved
As an ambassador you can get involved by:

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda. Our mission is to tackle inequalities in access to WASH by providing safe and sustainable WASH facilities and services to those that need it most.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are recruiting a new Communications Manager in order to build awareness around WASH inequality, grow EAU's presence and income generation, and ultimately enable us to reach more communities and transform more lives.

• Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of an external and internal communications strategy to drive the strategy, vision and values of EAU;

The role requires attendance & contribution at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and four Board meetings per year (plus any required preparation and pre-reading). Quarterly Board Meetings take place mostly online and periodically in person at a North West location.

There will also be potential additional engagement in strategy work and sub working groups throughout the year and occasional representation of the charity at various events with key stakeholders.

Healthwatch Haringey is the independent ‘people’s champion’ for health and social
care in the London Borough of Haringey.

We actively seek out the views of the public and patients on all matters relating to
health and social care, e.g. their experience in hospital, interim care, at the GP or
dentist, and collate those together to produce impact statements and reports.

With this evidence we seek to campaign for and change for the better the way
health and social care services are designed, delivered, and improved.

member of the London Borough of Haringey Health and Wellbeing Board and have

The Role:
To get the most out of being on the RCS’s Council, we are looking for those who have a passion for our aims and can commit to the time and effort required. Our trustees need strategic vision, independent judgement, and an ability to work effectively and actively as part of a small but dedicated charitable organisation. We are seeking an experienced Chair who can lead the Council in a collegiate and effective manner to deliver the most impact for the citizens of the Commonwealth.

The Role

The role of the Independent Member is to provide the Finance Committee with knowledge and experience to making key decisions in respect to the organisation’s affairs, ensuring its financial viability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained in accordance with the Association’s Bye-laws and in compliance of legal requirements.

Main Responsibilities 

• To assist the Finance Committee with the review and monitoring of The Scout Association (TSA)’s financial policies and making recommendations to the Board where appropriate.
• To assist the Finance Committee with recommending the annual budget and financial plan to the Board for TSA and its trading subsidiaries; reviewing performance against this and contributing to the development of the Association’s long term financial plan and strategy.
• To assist the Finance Committee with TSA’s investment policy and asset allocation; the review and recommendation of a rolling strategy for all property and land owned by TSA and to contribute to the development, operation and performance monitoring of all National Centres.
• To contribute to the development of TSA’s Fundraising strategy and monitor performance against this.
• To support the Finance Committee in monitoring financial and deliverable performance against TSA’s Digital and Digital Technology strategies.
• To assist the Finance Committee in recommending to the Board the appointment of external auditors and meeting with auditors to discuss audit plans, fees, and key findings from the audit.
• To contribute to the detailed review and approval of TSA’s statutory accounts.
• To consider decisions and recommendations that involve substantial expenditure outside of budget.
• To assist the Finance Committee in the monitoring of TSA’s insurance arrangements and the financial impacts of TSA’s Pension Schemes, Development Grants Board and other TSA funds and making recommendations to the Board where necessary.

• Looking ahead, there is the potential for the Finance Committee to evolve into a broader Audit and Risk Committee. Other essential criteria 

The Finance Committee will meet at least four times a year (generally two meetings online and two face to face in Central London), with the requirement to read papers and contribute to occasional discussions and specific issues between meetings. Appointment term 

These appointments would normally be for three years (subject to a 6-month review), extendable by mutual consent for a further three years.

Remuneration and expenses 

In common with other registered charities, there is no remuneration directly associated with the role, although the Association will reimburse fully for all reasonable and properly documented expenses incurred in performing duties in accordance with the Association’s Expenses Policy.

Safeguarding rules – Yellow Card

We are a youth organisation who takes safeguarding seriously.  The post holder agrees to comply at all times with the safeguarding rules as set out on TSA’s yellow card. This is shared with young people and carers, as well as employees, so everyone knows our rules of engagement. In order to comply, stringent vetting procedures take place including checking against an internal database to assess suitability and also Basic/Enhanced DBS checks as required.

World Physiotherapy is looking for a volunteer to support the charity's Finance Committee. Finance committee meetings are held quarterly via teleconference and last for between 90 to 120 minutes.

Finance Committee
The finance committee oversees the finances of the registered charity (WCPT), the company WCPT Trading Ltd, and in time the CIO. The Finance Committee, provides reports, advice, and makes recommendations to the Board in accordance with the Committee’s functions. Further information can be found in the committee terms of reference.

Commitment
The commitment required for these roles includes attendance at quarterly finance committee meetings, attendance at annual meetings with auditors, reading papers in advance of meetings, as well as availability from time to time to support the chair and senior management team through correspondence or ad-hoc meetings.

The roles is an unpaid voluntary position and no travel is anticipated.

The successful candidate will be working to support a passionate and committed group of trustees who are elected from our member organisations around the globe. World Physiotherapy is interested in hearing from candidates who substantially meet the following criteria:

• An accounting qualification and experience of providing financial support and advice, ideally with experience in UK charity finance requirements and knowledge of charity governance. An understanding of operating internationally would also be valuable

Key responsibilities include:

• Working and collaborating as part of a vibrant team on various projects.
• Conduct, analyse, and report on qualitative and quantitative research projects.
• Lead research collaborations with other organisations and stakeholders.

• Provide general admin support to the team when needed.

The purpose of the Institute of Osteopathy Appointments Committee is to ensure high standards of competence and performance on the main governing body, the Council of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO), with a focus on recruitment.

We are seeking a new professional member to join our committee to aid this important work.

You should have broad experience and a practical attitude with a proven track record, and ideally have experience in the following areas:

· Human Resources

· Executive development and performance management

· Knowledge of employment law

· Board/committee experience

The Committee meets quarterly online/in person to advise on such matters as promotional strategy, review candidate profiles against council member role specification, appraise the performance of the non-executive members of council and ensure that governance-related processes around appointments and term renewals are fit for purpose and working effectively.
