Summary
The role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the Philanthropy and Partnerships team at Diabetes UK. With more people living with diabetes and millions more at risk of developing Type 2, our work has never been more needed. You will lead on prospect research and pipeline management across the Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) team, developing a clear strategy that focuses on sourcing prospective donors to fund key priority projects. You will be the overall stewardship lead for the team, overseeing and enabling excellent stewardship - including the creation of materials and delivery of events. You will lead on ensuring compliance with fundraising best practice and will introduce new processes to enhance our efficiency and impact as team. You will lead a function that offers critical expertise and resource to drive income growth, now and in the future.

Main Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Act as the strategic lead for prospecting and data and information management that underpins all of the Philanthropy and Partnerships teams activities working closely with external partners and internal stakeholders.
- Design and implement innovative and data driven strategies for prospect research, moves management, partnership approval and pipeline development
- Develop and deliver an exceptional stewardship programme, encompassing donor communications, events and impact reporting
- Evaluate and provide critical analysis of fundraising and prospecting activity to deliver actionable insight, process innovation and project management
- Line manage a small team focussing on donor communications, events and prospect research
- You will also be responsible for motivating a small team and actively engage with the wider philanthropy and partnerships team, other directorates and external audiences to maximise opportunities for collaboration and growth.

During this fixed term contract, which will run to February 2026, you will be using your scientific knowledge and influencing skills to drive some of our key strategic objectives including the breeding of animals to ensure health and welfare.

Working hours: 35 hours per week; Monday - Friday.
Hybrid role: Your base will be at Blackfriars, London or Horsham West Sussex. Hybrid working isn't a tick exercise for us - we live the values. The expectation for this role will be 2 days per month and this is open to flex around you and the operation.

What a day might look like for you

You will:
- Support the Head of Companion Animals with strategy development and implementation as necessary.
- Deputise for the Head at internal and external meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of departmental budgets, and make decisions on behalf of the Head in their absence.
- Lead the management of multiple projects which align with the extreme breeding strategy, allocating tasks to assigned resources in order to ensure that all projects meet agreed quality, cost and timescale parameters.
- Create a strong evidence base for the RSPCA's work on extreme breeding and other welfare issues affecting companion animals, including relevant scientific, legislative, ethical and animal welfare issues and developments in the UK and internationally.
- Monitor, review, analyse, report on and where appropriate respond to, reports and announcements from relevant bodies on proposed EU directives, domestic UK legislation, and the work of parliamentary select committees, Defra, and other governmental and NGO working groups relevant to extreme breeding.
- Be a lead representative for the Society at meetings on extreme breeding to promote its objectives to key stakeholders and target audiences up to the highest levels including government ministers, MPs and senior civil servants, industry and other external bodies, committees, working groups, government representatives and working groups and think tanks and produce associated briefing papers and reports.
- To produce reports on extreme breeding and other companion animal issues, and contribute to departmental newsletters and information sheets and material for RSPCA publications.
What makes a great Scientific and Policy Manager?
To succeed within this role, it is essential that you have:
- A degree level qualification in a relevant biological discipline, plus relevant experience.
- Specific and extensive expertise relevant to animal welfare and companion animals specific to the post.
- A broad knowledge and understanding of animal welfare issues.
- An excellent knowledge and understanding of legislation, regulations and relevant organisations in government, industry.
- Proven experience of developing and implementing successful theories of change and impactful strategies with clear outcomes and objectives.
- Proven experience of high level influencing.
- The ability to build and utilise networks of contacts effectively and to work in coalition with others.
- Proven expertise in developing policy positions, shaping agendas and working in coalition to achieve change.
- Demonstrable research and writing skills with the ability to effectively condense, summarise and make sense of large amounts of information quickly, pulling out salient points and spotting potential weaknesses or problems.
- Strong project management skills, along with great influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven line management experience.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits
This is a full time, fixed term role for an initial 9 month period, with the possibility of extension. The salary is £37,000 to £42,000 f.t.e depending on experience.

Purpose of Role
The Strategic Campaigns Manager will lead the development and execution of impactful campaigns to elevate Ramblers' profile, political influence, and engagement across England, Scotland, and Wales. Working closely with Directors, Policy & Public Affairs Managers, and the Communications team, this role is pivotal in advancing our advocacy goals and expanding supporter engagement.
The role will position Ramblers as the foremost authority on walking and access and a respected political influencer.
This position plays a crucial role in influencing public perception and achieving business outcomes through strategic communication and marketing efforts. The role holder will focus on developing campaigns that unite issues that affect the whole of GB turning political advocacy into engaging and powerful campaigns. They will also support the broader communications team to implement locally focused advocacy and public affairs campaigns for England, Scotland or Wales where appropriate
Key responsibilities
Campaign strategy development:
- Design and execute integrated strategic campaigns that support our shared public affairs objectives across England, Scotland & Wales to deliver meaningful impact against a common change agenda
- In collaboration with colleagues, identify key issues and opportunities for advocacy, fundraising, and membership growth including where appropriate commissioning research that will create campaign engagement by addressing evidence gaps and opportunities
Campaign management:

Overall purpose
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.
The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.
The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and highly organised national Quality Manager to join our expanding team. This is a new role that will lead on the quality assurance of IPS Grow delivery, responsible for implementing a robust quality management system and measuring our work against agreed standards. This includes quality assuring resources for the IPS Grow team and the IPS community, streamlining internal processes, and ensuring consistency of IPS Grow delivery across regions.
This is a national role that will work closely with the Head of Delivery and wider IPS Grow senior team, with a mix of remote and in person working from our London office.
The Team
IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expanison of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by Social Finance in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).
Responsibilities
1. Oversee internal and external quality across IPS Grow delivery

Implement policies and processes that align fidelity reviews with international best practice.

Oversee the IPS Grow Quality Mark, ensuring accurate and consistent application.

Establish systems for monitoring delivery against KPIs and contract requirements.

Purpose of the job
The Evaluation & Learning Manager will work closely with the Assistant Director of Research & Impact and internal/external colleagues. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Brixton House is looking for an experienced, committed and highly organised Fundraising Manager. The post holder will have a central role in working with the Head of Development to secure grants from mainly trusts and foundations but will also work across other Departments to steward relationships with individual donors, support innovative digital fundraising campaigns, and assist in the delivery of targeted fundraising events.
The Development team is responsible for achieving a minimum voluntary income fundraising target of £300k, increasing over the next 2 years to £550k. Achieving these targets is central to Brixton House realising the creative ambition of our productions and performances, and to delivering our creative engagement programme in the wider community, with a particular focus on the London Borough of Lambeth.
The Fundraising Manager will report to the Head of Development and work collaboratively with colleagues and internal stakeholders across Departments to ensure there is a good fit between fundraising prospects and our programmes, and that our fundraising outputs are aligned with the vision, mission, and values of Brixton House.
This job would be ideal for applicants with successful fundraising experience looking to progress their fundraising careers by stepping up into a fundraising manager role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income Generation
- Working with the Head of Development to implement the Income Generation Strategy to diversify our funding, including developing and managing a pipeline of Trusts & Foundations, competitor analysis and prospect development to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
- Drafting and completing high quality funding applications and compelling funding proposals, including strong narrative storytelling, detailed budgets and comprehensive spending plans.
- Managing relationships with grant makers, writing grant reports, ensuring that deadlines are met and that the work accurately reflects our commitment to the grant makers requirements.
- Ongoing donor relationship management, acknowledging contributions, providing written updates on projects, programme delivery, and effective stewardship to encourage repeat giving.
- Managing and responding to supporter enquiries promptly, providing them with the best experience possible to maximise fundraising opportunities, and maintaining excellent up-to-date and timely records of all fundraising activities.
- Ensuring that all fundraising activity and donor stewardship and engagement is compliant with the Fundraising Regulators Code of Practice.
- Working closely with colleagues in other Departments to gather case studies and insights which demonstrate the impact of our work.
- Working collaboratively with the Head of Development and colleagues in Productions and Programming, Creative Engagement, and Marketing and Communications to actively support opportunities for income generation including corporate funding, individual giving, partnerships, trading activities, sponsorship, contracts and community fundraising.
Data & Impact Reporting
- Extract and interpret data from our CRM system Spektrix, and other external data sources to gather and process information which strengthens the case for support, and which enhances the quality of funding applications and funding reports.
- Working closely with colleagues in other Departments to ensure our CRM system and processes collect the accurate data required to meet funder requirements.
- Working closely with colleagues in other Departments to assist in the monitoring and evaluation of funded projects, and other activities which enhance the content and quality of reports for funders, trustees, and other key stakeholders.
- Analysing and presenting data and key findings to internal and external stakeholders through clear, concise and high quality reports and presentations.

WECare is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the strategic direction of our digital marketing efforts. Key responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Development
- Lead the overall strategic direction for WECare’s digital marketing, focusing on long-term growth and engagement.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies and communication plans to increase awareness and supporter engagement.
- Conduct audience and market research to shape targeted campaigns and forecast future marketing opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams across fundraising, social media, and external partners to ensure cohesive execution of digital strategies.

2. Digital Marketing & Analysis
- Drive WECare’s digital growth by leading SEO, social media, email marketing, and online advertising initiatives.

- Analyse data from digital marketing campaigns to optimise performance and inform strategic direction.

- Support the Fundraising department in developing and improving donor development initiatives, (such as supporter journeys) fostering lasting relationships through platforms like Mailchimp and HubSpot CRM.
3. Content Oversight & Campaign Management
- Oversee the creation of content (written, visual, multimedia) by internal teams and external partners, ensuring it aligns with WECare’s messaging and goals.
- Act as a strategic guide for content creation, focusing on maintaining consistency and supporting overall digital strategies.
- Ensure content supports broader marketing and fundraising goals while delegating day-to-day content creation to team members and creative professionals.
- Lead the planning and management of major digital marketing campaigns, working closely with relevant teams to ensure success.
4. Partnership & Community Engagement
- Identify and cultivate relationships with sponsors, partners, and local communities to strengthen WECare's support network.
- Support the organisation and promotion of key events, securing sponsorships and partnerships to enhance visibility.
- Lead outreach to the local and international community, promoting responsible animal care and building support for WECare’s mission.
5. Performance & Reporting
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing insights into performance and areas for improvement.

WECare is a vet and nurse run charity providing high standard veterinary care to the millions of roaming dogs in Sri Lanka in need of vet care.
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to coordinate an 18-month project exploring how we can operationalise a new in-work poverty benchmark for employers in London. This benchmark, developed by the Social Market Foundation, has the potential to improve the lives of low paid workers, building on the success of the Living Wage campaigns
The in-work poverty benchmark project is a new and exciting pilot project at the Living Wage Foundation. We want this person to build a case for employers going further than our existing accreditations and taking a more holistic approach to tackling in work poverty. This role would help us develop the pilot through employer case studies and extensive stakeholder engagement with a view to launching a new vehicle to recognise employers who adopt the in-work poverty benchmark.
Three key parts of the role would be working with:
- Our Membership team and our Operations and Insights team: to scope out and enhance their capacity to support employers to implement the benchmark through e.g. workshops, provision of guidance and /or new ways of working with employers.
- The cross organisational Making London a Living Wage City (MLLWC) team to build upon the successes and networks of this project and align where helpful to encourage London employers to go further
- London based community organisers to ensure that the experiences and stories of low paid workers are a primary driver of the case for change and how we develop this work.
The ideal candidate would be a proactive and experienced project manager with experience of building and implementing new products, projects or services. They should have excellent communication skills and a track record of engaging diverse stakeholders and building a network.
Living Wage Foundation
The Living Wage Foundation was launched in 2011 by Citizens UK to tackle in-work poverty and ensure that workers earn enough to live on and participate in family and community life. Citizens UK is the home of community organising with diverse civil society alliances set up to develop leaders to work on the issues that matter to them, such as the Living Wage. Other projects include Parent Action and Sponsor Refugees to add depth to the impact of Citizens UK’s work.
The Living Wage is a movement of businesses, organisations and people who believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. The real Living Wage is an independently-calculated hourly rate based on the cost of living and announced each October ahead of Living Wage Week, our annual celebration of a growing network of over 15,000 Living Wage Employers.
The Living Wage Foundation celebrates employers that voluntarily choose to pay the real Living Wage through an accreditation scheme that recognises a long-term commitment to fair pay and has secured pay rises for 475,000 low paid workers. Over recent years, the Living Wage Foundation has built on the success of the real Living Wage by creating new responsible employment standards – Living Hours and Living Pension – for those employers who want to go further and provide the security workers need now and in the future.
Main Responsibilities
Contribute to the achievement of the LWF and CUK’s strategic aims
· Work with the Living Wage Foundation team to embed this project into the wider work and strategy of the Foundation, and to identify and share learning from across our projects on how to mobilise employer action to tackle poverty.
Develop and manage external relationships
· Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement plan to support and promote the project.
· Manage strong relationships with the project partners and funders to involve and update them on the project as required.
· Progress our existing partnerships whilst proactively securing new partnerships with organisations that can help promote and build demand for the in-work poverty benchmark.
· Develop a wide-ranging network of stakeholders with an interest in this project, finding ways to involve them in its development.
· Coordinate and manage a project working group of senior Living Wage Employers, in work poverty experts and employee stakeholders.
Build and manage projects and achieve work targets effectively
· Set up, manage and evaluate a set of action pilots with employers, low paid employees and relevant experts to develop and test the in-work poverty benchmark and the standards within it.
· Design and develop the recognition mechanism and support programme for employers who sign up to the in-work poverty benchmark.
· Provide regular progress reports and deliver agreed project milestones including events, reports and other agreed outputs.
· Oversee the project being integrated into our CRM system and developing robust project management systems.
Learning, expertise, wellbeing and inclusion
· Conduct desk research, stakeholder interviews and organise events as required to inform the project. Manage research partners to conduct additional research as required.
· Monitor, review, evaluate and write up pilot progress with each employer using qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods.
· Working with others to identity and share learning on how to mobilise employer action to tackle poverty, considering this in the development of the in-work poverty benchmark.
· Develop and host employer facing events to gain insight and test appetite to support the development of this work.
· Design and facilitate employer workshops and employee focus groups to identify best practice and shared learning.
· Produce a final report and recommendations for how the work might be taken forward at the conclusion of the project, presenting this to relevant stakeholders.
Communications
· Oversee the collation and dissemination of research and evidence to build the case for the in-work poverty benchmark. Work with the Living Wage Foundation Communications and Research team to enable this.
· Develop the support we offer Living Wage Employers that are interested in implementing the in-work poverty benchmark and lead the production and design of research reports, toolkits, best practice guides and other resources.
· Promote the Living Wage Foundation to build our reputation as a leader in good work practices for low paid workers, including launching research and reports and celebrating progress made.
· Represent the Living Wage Foundation at meetings, events and conference to build awareness and support for our work.
Develop and manage internal relationships:
· Build and manage strong relationships across the LWF and wider Citizens UK teams for effective collaboration and to support development of this work.
· Work closely with community organisers in London to ensure the voices of low paid workers are a leading influence on this project.
· Contribute to the LWF and Citizens UK Senior Management meetings and cross organisational working groups.
Generate income and resources
· Oversee the development and implementation of an employer fee structure for the in-work poverty benchmark vehicle.
· Work with the Head of Business Development and Policy to produce a sustainable fundraising strategy for this work whilst developing relationship with potential funders.
· Oversee the creation of proposals to secure funds from corporate partners and attract funding from grants or donations to support ongoing work.
