Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead and grow our national family support services for disabled children, young people, and their families. As Head of Advice, Information and Family Support, you will be responsible for the strategic development, delivery, and quality assurance of a broad portfolio of non-clinical family services—ranging from emotional and practical support to peer networks, parenting guidance, and tailored one-to-one interventions.
You will be a confident leader with extensive experience managing family-facing services, ideally within health, social care, or community settings, and possess a strong track record of working closely with commissioners and local authorities to secure funding and shape service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Service Development
- Lead the strategic development of our national family support services, ensuring they are responsive, evidence-informed, and outcomes-focused.
- Identify opportunities for service innovation and expansion, particularly in response to commissioning priorities and gaps in local provision.
- Ensure alignment with organisational goals, sector best practice, and the diverse needs of disabled children and their families.
Commissioning and Partnership Engagement
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with local authority commissioners, Integrated Care Boards, and strategic partners to influence commissioning decisions and secure long-term funding.
- Lead on tender submissions, funding proposals, and service agreements, ensuring alignment with local priorities and national policy developments.
Service Management and Quality Assurance
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of a wide range of family support services, ensuring high standards of delivery and consistency across regions.
- Implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks, using data, feedback, and impact reports to inform service improvements and demonstrate outcomes to funders and stakeholders.

Person Specification
Essential
- Substantial leadership experience within family support services, children’s services, or similar community-based roles.
- Proven success in working with commissioners and securing service contracts or grants.
- Deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by families of disabled children and young people.

Purpose of Post:

About the role
The communications team directly contributes to the delivery of the Foundation’s objectives by ensuring effective communication of our work to influence the ongoing development and improved delivery of healthcare policy and practice in the UK. The remit of the communication team’s external affairs function includes public affairs, stakeholder relations, media relations, integrated communications, and corporate communications.
We currently have an opportunity for an External Affairs Officer to join the team on a 6-month fixed term basis. This role will contribute to the achievement of the Health Foundation’s overarching influencing and communications strategies by supporting the external affairs team in effectively delivering high-quality public affairs, stakeholder relations, media, and integrated communications activity.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in public affairs and stakeholder relations. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. This role will be required to provide some additional support to our media and press work – experience in media relations is desirable but not essential. A knowledge of the healthcare policy landscape within the UK would be advantageous.

The Head of Mass Participation Fundraising is responsible for overseeing our mass fundraising team. Leading the Events, Community and Individual Giving teams to maximise income and to introduce and lead on a new and exciting mass participation programme. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific Duties
Leadership
- To lead and inspire the Mass Participation team fostering a collaborative and high performing culture that delivers against income and objectives

- Undertake quarterly reviews for all direct reports
Mass Participation Fundraising
- Lead the development of all fundraising products, propositions and community and events, to effectively acquire and engage our mass audience target markets

- Lead the development of a robust lottery programme
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Income Generation to develop an approach to Gifts in Wills and legacy marketing

THE ROLE
This is a senior leadership role at The Girls’ Network with strategic and operational responsibility for the successful delivery of our mentoring and ambassador programmes. As the charity’s Safeguarding Lead, you’ll oversee safeguarding strategy and decision-making, and play a vital role in championing best practice across the organisation. Key Activities
Programme Delivery
- Operational ownership and accountability for the successful delivery of The Girls’ Network programmes, in line with our strategic aims and operational targets.
- Ownership and accountability for operational safeguarding decision-making in relation to programme delivery.
- Leadership of implementation and compliance of processes and procedures in the programme team, to ensure best practice, quality and consistency.
- Be accountable for our volunteer mentor community, including the mentor experience, engagement and retention. Ownership of our mentor recruitment retention strategy and ongoing activity.
- The organisation’s subject matter expert in relation to mentoring programmes and impactful interventions for girls and young women more widely, to inform the work we do.

This is a key role within the Engagement Directorate at Blind Veterans UK as we are working through a new strategy which ensures we become data and insight led and put our audiences at the centre of all our communication. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to help revolutionise how Blind Veterans UK conducts data selections and to play a key role in producing actionable insights as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of complex database extracts from Raiser’s Edge using FastStats, ensuring all data selections are delivered to a high standard for communications to Blind Veteran UK supporters. This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines. The critical element to this role is developing a campaign planning process that embeds a test and learn culture and drives innovation and improvement in our communications.
You will work with the Insight Manager and wider Engagement (fundraising and Comms & Marketing) Team to implement journeys and automations to improve second gift rates and drive sustainable income.
As well as leading on data selections, you will manage the insight planning and request project boards, working with the Insight Manager to respond to both ad-hoc insight requests and longer term insight projects.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role - what you'll be doing:
- Lead on data selections. Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines.
- Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload.
- Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief.
- Work with the Insight Manager to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust.
- Attend end of campaign meetings, and lead on the presentation of results and test outcomes and feedback on process improvements.
- Work with the Insight Manager to drive forward innovations in data selections, such as using propensity models to identify the right supporters to communicate with.
- Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to improve the accuracy of selections.

This role will take a lead on growing and diversifying income from trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors and public sector sources, and will be responsible for championing a culture of partnership, building meaningful relationships and helping to amplify the organisation’s impact and story.
The Philanthropy Lead is central to TBBT’s ambitions to grow their geographical reach and raise their national profile to reach more communities, working to shape and deliver a high-value fundraising strategy, lead multi-sector funding bids, and work hand in hand with delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders. As the subject expert in fundraising, the post-holder will be hands-on in developing proposals and cases for support, managing key accounts, and working as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team to identify and progress opportunities.

You will have experience of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies with measurable outcomes. Manuscript submission system administration:
