About you

We are looking for outgoing, confident and skilled communicators who are well versed in public speaking, building relationships and influencing people. You will be a self-motivated, committed person with experience of working in the homelessness, housing or voluntary and community sectors.

About the role

We are seeking to hire 2 driven and proactive Citadel co-ordinators across Cornwall – we are particularly interested to hear from candidate based in Truro, Bodmin and Camborne – to recruit, train, support and supervise committed volunteers who will directly support people experiencing homelessness locally.

About Citadel

Citadel is a volunteer-led project preventing homelessness by helping people find or sustain their tenancies and establish a home. Volunteers, once recruited, trained and DBS checked are matched with those referred for support. Co-ordinators and volunteers work closely with those referred to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

The post holder will assist the Venues and Entertainments Manager in managing the activities of all Venues/Bars and staffs, including student supervisors and have overall responsibility for the quality and quantity of work for all staffs. The successful candidate will also organize and manage the delivery of the venues/ bars service across the Students’ Union in a way that meets the specific needs and requirements of students and staffs in terms of time, quality, quantity and cost. The role holder will carry out checks on a regular basis to review the financial performance of the outlets and evaluate the value for money of existing working practices, resource levels and supply arrangements.

About the role

About you

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a plan to grow Trust & Grant income, successfully meeting or exceeding fundraising targets from a variety of funders and experience managing relationships with statutory funders and trust and foundations. You will have experience of managing fundraisers and supporting them to manage their priorities and portfolios. You will have experience of measuring and monitoring income and expenditure, and team performance.

It's essential that you have excellent communication skills and can build relationships across the organisation to develop strong fundraising ideas and support engagement with senior staff in building relationships with trusts. You will have experience of managing donor funded grants including review of financial information, preparation of donor reports and donor compliance. You must have experience and knowledge of statutory and grant fundraising research tools and grant writing in the UK charity sector.

INCOME GENERATION 

• Support the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications on the implementation of the fundraising strategy, in line with changing landscape with a core focus on corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, company giving and general appeals; 

• Collaborate on ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities in line with our strategic ambitions and develop and submit high quality and compelling funding proposals and tender documents to unlock funding;  

• Work with key stakeholders, including our Policy and Programme delivery teams to scope and develop exciting new project proposals; 

• Develop and grow the pipeline, identifying opportunities for funding from a range of sources, primarily corporate partners but also engaging, trusts & foundations and statutory sources. 

• Maintain an effective database of contacts and stakeholders. 

  PARTNERSHIPS MANAGEMENT 

• Support the management of existing donor relationships through working closely with the Director of Programmes & Partnerships and Programme Management Teams across the organisation; 

• Ensure all funding and sponsorship terms and conditions are acknowledged, recorded and completed in a timely fashion; 

• Accurately maintain and update records and databases, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as any legal requirements; 

• Work with the Programmes Team to contribute to high-quality donor stewardship for existing and new partners, through timely communication, gift acknowledgement, and tailored stewardship plans. 

STRATEGIC SUPPORT

• Maintain knowledge and understanding of the UK fundraising scene in order to input into the development and evolution of the organisation's fundraising strategy.

At Cruse Bereavement Support, we are looking for a Trust and Foundations Manager to lead our vitally important trusts and foundations income stream. This is a key role for us, and we are looking for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser looking to take this work to the next level. You will line-manage a Trusts and Foundations Officer and be part of a wider Partnerships Team, which includes national corporate partnerships, external training and consultancy. You will lead on working with colleagues from across Cruse to develop innovative new approaches to funding asks from trusts and foundations. Your relationship fundraising approach will enhance our work with existing partners and win the support of new funders. Your collaborative approach to internal working relationships will allow you to produce high quality funding applications and reports to funders.

This role is a remote role, but you will be an active member of the Cruse family, in daily contact with many colleagues from all areas of Cruse for video calls, phone calls, email and instant messaging. The hours are 35 per week (but would consider 30+ hours over 5 days).

What the job involves

As the leader of a flexible and multi-skilled team, a mixture of Health Influencing and Policy specialists you’ll use your expert knowledge and skills to maximise the positive impact that we have in shaping health policy and practice to effectively deliver on our strategic priority to maximise our positive impact for men with prostate cancer.

You’ll provide effective and timely analysis of a wide range of complex policy issues, identifying policy developments that we can and should influence, or that we should support the implementation of, to further our impact with our communities. You will promote understanding of the health and care system among internal staff and our external communities and audiences.

You’ll grow our ability to successfully influence key stakeholders for the delivery of our strategy, particularly NICE for approval of new treatments. You’ll ensure that the team have strategic relationships with health stakeholders across the UK (e.g. Cancer Alliances/Health Boards) so that we can proactively engage them to support the delivery of our strategic priorities and rapidly react to care issues that arise.

What we want from you

You’ll bring an excellent understanding of the different health services, policy and systems across the UK and how these can be influenced. You’ll be an excellent communicator and presenter, credible at senior levels with external stakeholders and partners.

We’re looking for someone experienced in developing and managing influencing strategic programmes, working across team and organisational boundaries ensuring the ranging evidence collected is used effectively to provide a strong analysis. 

You’ll have experience of influencing significant service improvement or policy change at a national level, including the approvals process for new treatments. You’ll be familiar with identifying, interpreting, and critically appraising a wide range of evidence and data to provide sound analysis of policy issues.

A background in employment-based programmes would be good, Knowledge of the Healthcare sector would be lovely, the ability to build great relationships and if you can inspire colleagues would be fantastic.

Summary of the role:

The UK & International Finance Manager is responsible for the comprehensive financial management, planning, monitoring, and reporting of daily financial activities across HQ and country programmes. This includes providing advice to senior management on financial strategies.

The responsibilities include managing finances with strong controls, implementing policies and procedures, coordinating annual account production, and developing and monitoring the annual budget with senior finance leaders. The UK & International Finance Manager will also produce monthly management accounts and oversee payables, income, and treasury functions.

The UK & International Finance Manager will lead a team of technical and finance professionals, utilising expertise in finance systems and technical tools like SQL. The role includes international travel to set up and implement systems, migrate data, deliver training, and provide ongoing support. Overall, the UK & International Finance Manager ensures financial integrity and efficiency in global operations.

About the Role:

1. Manage the Muslim Aid HQ Finance function, ensuring continuous financial review including costs and revenue recognition.
2. Responsibility for all month end process in monthly management accounts reporting.
3. Prepare management accounts including analysis of variances and reporting to budget holders, LT and Board.
4. Ensuring UK & International purchase invoices and payment vouchers are correctly coded, authorised, recorded on the finance system, payment and dealing with queries within a timely manner.
5. Maintain the banking relationships and be up to date with financial regulations specifically regarding banking sanctions.
6. Administer payments to Country Offices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Educated to Bachelor’s degree level & hold UK Accountancy qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA).
2. Substantial proven post qualification experience working in a similar position in an INGO, including Senior Management experience, preferably in similar context.
3. Proven experience in managing a finance team.
4. Experience of Month End Process and Management Reporting.
5. Experience of producing information for business cases or funding applications.
6. Good team work skills with the ability to work with different and sometime conflicting agendas.

Our client, a prestigious London University, is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join them as a temporary Clinical Trials Manager. The position is 35 hours per week, for 3 months in the first instance. The role offers hybrid working, with at least one day per week based in Whitechapel, one day per week in Chelsea and the rest remote.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:

• Responsibility for the overall set-up and coordination of the trial and feasibility study.
• Acting as the main liaison between the various stakeholders involved within the unit.
• Monitoring trial progress and ensuring adherence to the project plan; identifying, evaluating and rectifying problems at various trial sites as they arise.
• Travelling to various sites, where necessary, to conduct monitoring activities, perform source data verification and assess adherence to relevant protocol and regulations.
• Processing various financial paperwork, including invoices, credit notes, expense claims and transfers for participating trial sites, ensuring all documents are kept up to date.
• Providing both regular and ad hoc information to all trial sites, including reports, updates and guidance.
• Establishing procedures to ensure adherence to protocols and various administrative requirements, and training staff in relevant procedures.
• Keeping up to date with subject related and professional issues and relevant legislation by attending meetings, conferences, training courses and reading relevant materials - applying gained knowledge through working practices.
• Monitor trial progress and prepare progress reports for the Trial Management Group, Steering Committees, various relevant stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
• Maintaining trial files; overseeing the management of the master and site files.
• Keeping accurate written and digital records, ensuring all records are stored securely, maintaining confidentiality of all stored data in line with data protection regulations.

To be considered for this position, you should possess:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a higher education setting.
• Demonstrable, strong experience in managing or coordinating clinical research studies, specifically multi-centre trials.
• Experience of working with patients and/or research participants.
• Experience in study development and set up, including necessary procedures for study approval with research ethics committee.
• Understanding of the research & development processes and sponsor organisations.
• Knowledge of good clinical practice, and data protection guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Evidence of advancing your own knowledge and understanding of diversity issues.
• Proficiency in using various IT systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling constructive and useful interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.

Tenebrae is one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles, renowned for its core values of passion and precision. Since the choir began in 2001, we have aimed to move and inspire audiences all over the world through dramatic programming and immersive experiences. 

The choir performs around 60 concerts each year across the UK, Europe, the US and further afield, including at some of the world’s most prestigious concert venues and festivals. Alongside its busy concert and recording schedule, the ensemble delivers a rapidly growing Learning & Connection programme, working with hundreds of children, young people and amateur singers across schools and other community settings. In the past 5 years Tenebrae’s programme of activities has grown considerably, but in order to maintain this we now need to grow all areas of our fundraising. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to make a transformational difference to Tenebrae’s artistic scope and financial sustainability as we approach our 25th anniversary in the 2026-27 season.

The Development Manager will be responsible for:

• Working with the CEO to refresh and implement our 3-year fundraising strategy;
• Fundraising from Trusts, Foundations, individuals and corporates to support the charity’s core costs as well as artistic and educational initiatives;
• Working with our Development Board to identify new challenges and opportunities.

Location 

After an initial period of office-based training, we are happy to consider flexible and remote working in order to facilitate other commitments such as caring responsibilities, although ideally you will be based in our office in Hammersmith for at least 2 days per week.

Hours

We are advertising this as a full-time position at 35 hours per week plus a one-hour lunch break each day. However, for the right candidate we would be happy to discuss the possibility of working part-time (4 days per week) or compressed hours. Our standard office hours are 09:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. On occasion you may be required to attend weekend or evening events, for which you will be entitled to time off in lieu (TOIL).
