Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women involved with Children’s Social Services and Early Help, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

To be successful as the Early Help IDVA, you’ll need the below experience and skills:

The Brent Centre for Young People is looking for an experienced, dynamic person to join its Clinical Administration Team.

The Brent Centre for Young People is a charity based in North West London (Kilburn) that provides psychotherapeutic treatments to young people aged 11-25 years, who suffer with emotional difficulties and have mental health needs. We are looking for an experienced clinical administrator with strong people and communication skills to help run our clinical services.

This post is an exciting opportunity to be part both of supporting the growth of this service and supporting clinical administration at the Brent Centre within an existing small team. You will be required to also provide administrative and secretarial support to the Private Service, it’s clinicians, clientele and management.

The suitable candidate will have at least two years’ experience of clinical and/or general administration and reception duties. This post will suit a confident, reliable individual with strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

You will be expected to be confident in IT skills (including the use of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level) and apply them to recording data accurately on a daily basis on our client database.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, can work to regular deadlines, can problem solve when faced with difficult situations, adheres to confidentiality and can communicate professionally, politely and effectively with young patients, their families, our clinical and non-clinical staff team and our external contacts, such as GPs.

The post requires sensitivity to the needs of young people with emotional difficulties and the nature of therapeutic work and their families. Experience with young people or with mental health is advantageous.

You will be expected to work a range of shifts between 9.30am to 6pm, 10.30am to 7pm and 11.30am to 8pm, to be agreed.

• Contract: 12 months fixed-term
• Working hours: 22.5 (3 days per week, 60% equivalent to a full-time role)
• Location: We are open to flexible, hybrid and remote working, with some in-person attendance at our in-person team days in Leeds (3 per year).
• Pro-Rated Part-Time Salary Range: £14,955.6 to £16,995 per annum

Since 1987, Waverley Abbey College has equipped Christians for their vocations with skills in spiritual formation, mental health and wellbeing, and leadership. We are now one of the largest providers of Christian Counselling qualifications in Europe and are fast becoming the leading provider of Chaplaincy training in the UK – all while maintaining both academic rigour and an outstanding level of student satisfaction.

We are looking for an experienced registrar to help manage the registry office and to ensure the team continues to provide excellent service to the college and its stakeholders, as well as effective liaison with and information provision to partner institutions and statutory bodies.

Key Tasks

• Support the Academic Registrar in managing the student journey through their programme of study, including requests for extensions, interruption, withdrawal and other changes including student progression. Responding to all queries by phone, email and face to face
• Liaise closely with the Student Finance, Academic Administration, Student
• Services teams and other functional areas within Waverley Abbey Trust including academic staff, Resources and HR
• Set up and take minutes of all Academic meetings

 
University and College Regulations

• Maintain an understanding of the validating university’s and Waverley Abbey  College’s policies and regulations and check college and student compliance
• Contribute to university audits and programme validation/revalidation as required

Assessments and Progression Boards

• Assist the Academic Registrar in administering Moodle and maintain accuracy of the marking system and data, including release of grades to students and capture of results into student management system
• Prepare assessment information and associated documents for the External Examiners and assist with producing grade sheets for Assessment and Progression Boards
• Notify students of Assessment Board results and prepare award documents
• Liaise with college staff during graduation periods to ensure all eligible students are included

General

• Onboard students, including registering students with the university
• Ensure that all reports and data produced by the department are accurate and produced in a timely manner
• Attend Waverley Abbey College meetings including Assessment Events such as Open Days and Evenings (maybe weekends) Discovery Days and Graduations
• Closely co-ordinate with student finance staff as needed
• Attend the Mitigation Panel and record outcomes, for relay to students
• Liaise with the Learning Support officer, programme leaders and tutors as required
• To undertake personal continuous professional development activities e.g. membership of relevant professional bodies, conferences, education and training
• Provide general assistance as required by the Academic Registrar and by the developing needs of the college
• Monitor student attendance
• Assist organisation of Graduation ceremonies
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by the postholder’s line manager

 
 To be successful in this role, you will have a good working knowledge of the Higher Education sector. You will have an understanding of the student-related academic cycle and administrative processes within Admissions and Registry as well as knowledge of Assessment and Grading systems. You will also have experience of line management and providing excellent customer service to our students.

The Baobab Centre is a non-residential therapeutic community that supports young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses and have sought asylum in the UK as unaccompanied minors. Our two focus areas are rehabilitation and justice.

This is a unique oppertunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to progress further in their career, with the freedom to creatively enhance and develop the fundraising strategy of an impactful community-based charity.

As Senior Fundraising Lead you will be Baobab’s key fundraiser and a self-starter with experience of working in a small or medium sized charity. You will lead on the development of fundraising at Baobab, exploring new avenues for funding, as well as nurturing and growing existing fundraising relationships. You will be responsible for strategising and carrying out a successful program of fundraising from small, medium and large charitable trusts and foundations to an agreed annual fundraising target. You will also assist in delivering Baobab’s individual major donor programme, helping to set up and deliver communications and events related to this income stream. There is scope to explore further fundraising activites including events, corporate and community fundraising. You will play a central role and work closely with our operations team, as well as recieving expert monthly mentoring from a senoir fundraising consultant. 

This role is for 4 or 5 days per week depending on your preference, it will include Fridays which is when staff meetings are held.

Mental Health:  All of the young people Baobab supports suffer significant mental health and developmental difficulties and many function in an unstable and more immature way than their chronological age. Due to their experiences it takes time to gain trust from the young people in our community. As a core member of our team, you will understand the impact of specific human rights abuses on the development of children and young people in exile and their individual experiences of loss, trauma and grief on their mental health and well-being.

It often takes a significant amount of time to understand Baobab’s model of working, which aims for rehabilitation and justice through attending to both the internal and external world of each young. Terrence Higgins Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Health Promotion Specialist to join their team working as part of the Essex Sexual Health Service.

The post holder will support in the design and delivery of effective health promotion (HP) and behaviour change communication (BCC) interventions appropriate to the needs of Young People and other groups at increased risk of poor sexual health outcomes. The post holder will work closely with educational establishments to directly deliver relationship and sexual health education (RSHE), parent sessions, and educator training in both primary and secondary settings.

Delivery will also involve community engagement approaches that tackle health inequalities including HIV related stigma and discrimination. Delivering targeted interventions that increase knowledge and awareness of sexual health issues including: sexual health testing, consent, confidentiality, LGBTQ+ inclusivity, whilst also increasing access to eC-Card and access to care treatment and the uptake of broader sexual health services across Essex and Thurrock.

The post holder will hold a clean full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
