We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Bethnal Green - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.
You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. But we don’t want to stop there.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.
Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
- Handling safeguarding
- Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
- Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
- Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers
Delivery of Spear Career [20%]
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees
Training the Graduate Coach [10%]
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback
Trainee recruitment [10%]
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics
Continuous professional development
- Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training
Active participation in and support for church team and mission
- As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church
This role will suit you if:

Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Care Wales
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people
- A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality, and promoting their positive development.
- Experience in group work and/or delivery of training.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering Services (Wales) regulations.
- Experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.

METRO is looking to recruit for the vacancy of Parenting Support Practitioner. This fulfilling and exciting role is dedicated to helping empower, equip and support parents of teenagers in the London borough of Greenwich. The role will support parents one-to-one through mentoring and coaching to improve their skills and confidence in managing relationships with their teenage children.
Programme
The METRO Parenting Support Programme is part of the Young Greenwich Partnership, delivering a new integrated programme commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The essential purpose of the Young Greenwich programme is to enable young people to develop holistically, working with them to facilitate their personal, social and educational aspirations to develop their voice and reach their full potential. The programme is led by NHS Oxleas Foundation Trust (Oxleas) and delivered with Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) partners, who, together with METRO, form the Young Greenwich Partnership.
The METRO Parenting Support Programme delivers coaching, group work, mentoring and counselling designed to help parents of teenagers achieve their health and wellbeing goals. This, in
turn, will allow us to achieve goals for parents and children and young people as part of the wider Young Greenwich programme.
Role
The role will include working with parents one-to-one and in groups to identify goals around improving confidence and wellbeing and using mentoring and coaching tools and techniques to help support parenting skills development. Topics will include understanding the developmental needs of teenage children, managing challenging behaviour, and looking after your health and wellbeing.

Adelphi Court is a mental health, supported housing and community based service, working to a recovery model. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards. Our service is partially staffed between the hours of 09:00 and 21:30, with a mixture of shifts to cover service delivery. You will be required to work every second weekend.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.
No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. This innovative role has been created to respond to recent demands for an integrative approach into support delivery of vulnerable adults presenting a severe and enduring mental illness and/or a forensic background, at times in combination with substance misuse.
The post holder will lead on creating a therapeutically informed programme in order to develop a Psychological Informed Environment in the service.
The role would suit an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who will lead in facilitating therapeutic groups and individual counselling /therapy for service users. On the other side provide support to the staff team in developing their psychological understanding and raising awareness in the emotional impact of working with this client group.
The Therapist will work with the service users in order to improve engagement with support services as well as providing in depth sessions with them with the desired outcome of supporting them to better manage the psychological distress and to have a clearer insight into their own emotional wellbeing.
Key information and documentation will be kept up to the required standard as expected between a therapist and a client and the post holder will adhere to all relevant legislation that governs these professional relationships.
The post holder will work flexibly across the service and will use technology were appropriate to ensure time is effectively used across the service provision.

What you'll do:
Adopt and implement a Psychological informed Environment in the service.
To support the team in carrying out holistic assessments on appropriate support plans, and comprehensive risk assessments in full consultation with service-users, their families/carers and other agencies.
To liaise with the multi-disciplinary team working collaboratively to ensure that full information is given (in case of risk) to enable a robust assessment of service-users.
To ensure recovery focused support plans are reviewed, evaluated and amended in accordance with changing needs, presenting risks and individual preferences to promote recovery with an attitude of 'positive risk taking'.
To provide recovery focused support to achieve personal goals/aspirations in partnership with service-users, family members and statutory agencies. To work with service-users on a one-to-one basis to achieve positive outcomes within a given service timeframe.
Provide structured support and guidance to other front-line staff in their area of expertise, building capacity and skills within the team, and contribute to the relevant internal specialist forum.
Lead on external relationships with Mental Health professionals, including the North and South CMHT, the Forensic Team, the EIS and the HTT, maintaining excellent relationships with them.
Develop and maintain links with key agencies and service providers in the local community.
Demonstrate a commitment to the empowerment of service-users and a strong interest in co production and promoting people's rights.
Knowledge and practical experience of using person centred tools to support recovery and development of service-users.
To lead groups and activities - offering a range of appropriate therapeutic, psycho-educational and recovery focused interactions and activities including art/dance/movement therapy
Undertake administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive service-user records to professional standards.

To adhere to at least one Code of Ethics of a recognized professional body.

The post holder will support in the design and delivery of effective health promotion (HP) and behaviour change communication (BCC) interventions appropriate to the needs of Seldom Heard from Communities namely; People of African/Caribbean Heritage, Commercial Sex Workers (CSW), Men who have sex with men (MSM) and other groups at increased risk of poor sexual health outcomes. We are currently seeking a Scheme Manager to Manage two of our schemes based in Oxfordshire. The scheme consists of 40 and 20 properties and the role would be working alongside the onsite care team, who provide 24/7 care. In this key role you will deliver intensive housing management support to residents living within the scheme and liaise with the care team and external agencies to ensure that holistic support to residents is delivered to meet their needs.
This role is for 37 hours per week, and we can offer flexible working over Monday – Friday.
What you will be doing:
- Manage an Independent Living Scheme, by carrying out all intensive housing management tasks, such as income management, dealing with tenancy related issues and communicating with residents and third parties.
- Maintain thorough records of all contact with residents and support providers/professionals, using relevant systems as appropriate.
- Carry out suitability assessments, tenancy sign ups and empty homes management.
- Ensure the scheme is well managed, safe, and clean by overseeing any communal repairs, cleaning or maintenance and liaising with appropriate departments as necessary, escalating any unresolved concerns.
- Liaise with care teams and external agencies to ensure that a holistic package of support is offered to residents.
