The FA is looking for a Safeguarding Manager to join on a 12 month fixed term contract, to work as part of the Strategic Safeguarding Team developing policy, procedures, standards, guidance, education and resources to support fun, inclusive and safe football environments, specifically across the Women's Player Pathway including Professional Game Academies.
You will implement The FA's safeguarding policy, procedures, standards and practices across the women's leagues and talent and player pathway including supporting safeguarding work with England National Teams and other major events.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work two days a week on site at either St. George's Park or Wembley Stadium, and attend meetings at either venue, as needed.
What will you be doing?
- Drive operating standards in the women's football pyramid and talent pathway, embedding safeguards in licence agreements and regulations, ensuring compliance monitoring is owned at club and league level, working closely with colleagues within the Womens National League and Professional Game Academies (PGA's), and the Safeguarding and Welfare Manager within the Professional Womens Leagues - NewCo, to ensure alignment where appropriate.
- Further develop the approach to audit and compliance and support the process to audit the safeguarding provision and support colleagues and clubs to implement the required safeguards across the women's football pyramid, talent and player pathway, including PGA's.
- Continue to identify and support the learning and development needs of football's Designated Safeguarding Officers/Club Welfare Officers across the women's football pyramid, the talent and player pathway, including PGA's delivering training and briefings as needed.
- Develop and deliver safeguarding and welfare training to specific relevant FA staff, consultants and volunteers, communicating effectively safeguarding policy and procedures, and emphasising the process for reporting concerns.
- Provide support as needed in the management of safeguarding and wellbeing concerns, ensuring appropriate records are maintained, overseeing all referrals to The FA's Case Management and Integrity teams and statutory agencies as required, implementing learning from incidents and referrals.
- Support the development of safer event and match/tournament delivery processes across the women's football pyramid, talent and player pathway.
- Support the development and delivery of research and insight projects across the women's game and support the delivery of actions to develop a safer culture.
- Support the development and implementation of The FA's Safeguarding Policy, including developing new guidance.
- Identify and develop any specific resources and materials to support safeguarding and wellbeing for player and parent education, including bespoke messaging about relationships of trust in the leagues, clubs and talent pathway.
- Support the embedding of safeguards in the open age game, including in the women's football pyramid, supporting alignment where relevant with the men's National League System.
- Ensure complaints relating to safeguarding matters are addressed, and that complainants are updated throughout the process and/or are signposted to relevant sources of support.
- Attend relevant internal meetings and regularly report updates to relevant Managers, Project Groups and Boards.
- Be an influential advocate for safeguarding and player wellbeing, promoting, communication and representing this work effectively internally and externally.
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

The Regional Business Development Manager is a central part of the Southern Africa Regional team and will play a key role in helping to expand WaterAid's funding portfolio as well as building regional intelligence, positioning WaterAid's work in our key thematic areas (such as health and climate), and proposal development. The role will partner with country teams in the region, fundraising specialists, and technical experts across WaterAid as well as externally with donors and partners to develop a multi-year pipeline of opportunities and implementing a strategy for business development. The postholder will be a strategic thinker, who is able to challenge and mentor country funding teams to appraise opportunities critically and to produce consistent, compelling proposals and funding strategies; and to deliver on targets. This will focus on ensuring WaterAid is well positioned within key donor and consortium partner networks in the region as a "go to" partner for long term sustainable WASH programming.
Key accountabilities among others include:
Strategy
- Support country programmes in developing fundraising, donor and consortium partner strategies from a deep understanding of how to position WA's programmes within the current donor marketplace.
- Contribute to overall new business strategy in collaboration with country teams, Senior Program Development Manager and Regional Director, assessing regional performance against Key Performance Indicators and annual revenue targets.
Pipeline development and management:
- Be responsible for growing and monitoring the pipeline of relevant funding opportunities to WA country programmes, coordinating with fundraising members to communicating donor intelligence, ensuring a balanced portfolio of funding types and ambition.
- Provide strategic support to the sign on of larger funding opportunities, ensuring that WA country teams are supported to negotiate favourable positions within consortia and are able to effectively assess and mitigate for delivery risk.
- Support the improvement of cost recovery in restricted funding contracts through supporting country teams to communicate and negotiate with donors and holding CPs to account for cost recovery KPIS.
Funding skills and capabilities development:
- Monitor the fundraising skills, capabilities and investment levels within country teams, and support the development of both funding focused roles and the capability of country SMTs to engage with donors and develop funding propositions
- Play a leading role in co-creating and embedding business processes, systems, and policies for restricted funding
- Build confidence in pursuing different funding modalities, including commercial contracts through accompanying country teams in the development of complex and novel bidding approaches (with the support of global teams and consultants)
Leadership and Line management
- Responsible for working with a high-performing team of country Heads of Funding and Donor Relationship Leads across the globe. The RBDM will contribute to strategic and operational planning processes; define and deliver an agreed set of team performance targets; and providing guidance, coaching and support in helping peers achieve optimum performance.
- The RBDM will contribute towards establishing the core new business processes of the team and will lead on and ensure effective linkages with other key stakeholders
- Identify specialist training needs in the region and source relevant expertise from Programme Funding and Partnerships team (PFP) and other external avenues to address the capacity needs in the region.
To be successful, you will need the following:
- Master's Degree level qualification in international development, economics or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Approximately 10 years of experience in planning, securing and managing funds from institutional donors such as USAID, EC, UK Government, International Financial Institutions such as the WB, AfDB, local and international corporates, trust and foundations such as Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation etc.
- Substantial experience and knowledge of the institutional funding space and a deep understanding of bilateral and multilateral donors' routes to market
- Solid experience building partnerships to facilitate opportunities in consortium contracting and negotiating the position of WA in those consortia
- Demonstrable track record of developing and delivering on strategies for restricted income growth.
- Strategic networker with the ability to identify and transform opportunities into tangible results
- Ability to work in a flexible and agile way to identify opportunities and address challenges
- Ability to take complex information and simplify for audiences

About Us
The Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS) is a charitable organisation that works across health and social care, UK-wide. For over three decades FoNS has supported nurses and midwives, and their teams to transform their ways of working towards care, practice and culture that is person-centred.
Purpose of the role
Co-production in terms of design, delivery and evaluation is fundamental to the programme, and so we are looking for a person with direct lived experience of MHLDA inpatient services to join the FoNS team and to lead on co-production, bringing a lived experience lens to our team.
As an organisation we recognise that FoNS is at the start of our co-production journey. So, whilst the primary focus of the role is leading the co-production element of the mental health programme, working closely with the programme lead, a secondary purpose is supporting the development of co-production throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities will primarily consist of:
· Working as part of the FoNS Leadership Team for the FoNS Ward Manager Programme including attending relevant meetings with NHS England
· Playing a leading role and taking operational responsibility for co-production within the FoNS Ward Manager Programme. This includes meaningful engagement of persons with lived experience of mental health, learning disabilities and autism, families and carers, and staff throughout programme design, delivery, governance and evaluation
· Working as a part of the FoNS team, bringing a lived experience lens to support, promote and develop co-production across the organisation
· Understanding lived experience from a range of sources ensuring a broad demographic is represented and feed this into the FoNS team and co-production work
· Visibly advocating for lived experience involvement for FoNS
· Contributing to the ongoing development and lived reality of the FoNS’ ways of working

A picture of day-to-day working might include:

The position:
As Social Media Coordinator, you will live and breathe all things social media, leading all activities across our Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as keeping an eye out for opportunities elsewhere on social media.

Hours:
This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, to be worked across Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.

The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad (SPANA) is the charity for the working animals of the world. Media and PR

Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the world’s leading research and accountability initiatives for gender equality. You will join a small and growing team of staff working at GH5050, taking responsibility for the Global Health workstream. The role will involve project design and management, conducting research and policy analysis, maintaining strong working relationships with partner organisations as well as with other GH5050 staff, dissemination, engagement and impact. We are seeking up to 6 individuals in casual roles to be deployed as Designated Safeguarding & Welfare Leads with England Women's Development Teams (U15's-U19's) in fixtures, training camps and tournaments both in the UK and abroad. As such these roles will involve UK and International travel, which at times, could be for a few weeks in succession.
Each role is an extension of The FA's Strategic Safeguarding Team. Individuals will be deployed to a specific age group and will be the first point of contact for the duration of an England Camp or Event environment for staff and players regarding safeguarding matters. The role will also be involved pre and post camp in preparation and review phases.
The role will work both proactively to mitigate against safeguarding risks and lead the response in a camp/event environment where concerns about welfare, poor practice or child/adult abuse are identified.
Roles will be deployed across the following England Women's Teams camps and events:
- U15's - c17 days on camp plus up to 6 days pre/post camp work = c23 days across 3 camps in October 2024, March & May 2025.
- U16's - c30 days on camp plus up to 8 days pre/post camp work = c38 days across 4 camps in October 2024, February, April & July 2025.
- U17's - c66 days on camp plus up to 14 days pre/post camp work = c80 days across 7 camps September, October, November, December 2024 and February, March, April and May 2025
- U17's Specific event - c 34 days on camp plus up to 8 days pre/post camp work = c42s days involving c8 days across 2 camps August and September 2024 and up to c28 days across October into Early November 2024.
- U19's -c74 days on camp plus up to 16 days pre/post camp work = c90 days across 8 camps October, Nov-Dec 2024, February, April, June and July 2025.
- In addition, we wish to recruit one additional person to act as a 'casual staff bank role' who has the flexibility to cover a camp/event, sometimes at short notice, in the event of illness etc
Note: Due to the level of flexibility and experience required for these roles, we are particularly interested in applications from people;
- in existing flexible roles with safeguarding and welfare remits, or who are retired;
- with experience from teaching, youth work or similar
The number of days stipulated are approximate and are subject to change depending on schedules and progression through tournaments. Post holders would be contracted on a day rate, initially until 31 July 2025, with anticipated deployment in line with the above to an age group.
There will be an expectation to attend St. George's Park, nr. Burton upon Trent, as part of the induction process and occasional meetings thereafter.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Understand, promote and implement The FA's Safeguarding Policies, England Safer Working Practice Guidance and event specific Safeguarding Plan and Risk Assessment.
- Lead the in-camp response to safeguarding and welfare issues (including low level concerns), escalating serious matters internally with The FA and where relevant to statutory agencies and stakeholders. Work collaboratively with Tournament Safeguarding Leads in ensuring a safe environment.
- Lead the Camp Welfare Group - Ensure the Group meet as required throughout a camp and that issues are addressed as far as possible whilst on an event. Utilise the Group effectively, to support the response to safeguarding and welfare issues.
- Ensure all safeguarding/welfare concerns and incidents are responded to, reported and recorded using internal FA processes and systems. Support and advise colleagues on safeguarding matters and incidents.
- Support colleagues to understand their safeguarding responsibilities and ensure practice matters are raised and addressed as appropriate, escalating serious concerns in a timely manner e.g., allegation involving a member of staff. Work closely with Women's Teams Safeguarding Oversight Lead and Senior Safeguarding Manager - England Teams and FA Venues to ensure that safeguarding concerns are responded to appropriately.
- Deliver pre-agreed safeguarding briefings and training to staff and players on camp, drawing on your expertise, experience and enthusiasm to ensure these sessions are engaging and are contextually relevant.
- Foster positive, supportive relationships with players, collaborate with colleagues in particular with the Strategic Safeguarding Team, psychology, medical and education & lifestyle leads, to ensure that appropriate support plans are in place, including managing matters relating to child protection plans, education, health & care plans (EHCP's) and that welfare and behaviour management needs are supported and that key messages are relayed to education providers/clubs as appropriate. Ensure that players are signposted as required to services and sources of support as relevant.
- Work with the Head Coach and Team Manager to ensure that any activities, including excursions developed on camp are risk assessed effectively, with relevant mitigations implemented.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to supervise players and support effective behaviour management.
- Contribute to event planning and review by participating in MDT calls as required.
- Produce a post camp/event report, highlighting areas of good practice, ensuring development areas are identified with clear actions, and participate in safeguarding quality assurance and data analysis reviews.
- Contribute to the wider work of the safeguarding team, including supporting safeguarding planning and risk assessments for events and complaint management as required.
- Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

Job Purpose
With 10 years to achieve Agenda 2030, the SDG 6 targets on clean water, decent sanitation and good hygiene are among the furthest behind. Achieving universal, sustainable WASH will require a major mobilisation of resources, public demand and political will. Reporting to the Global Campaigns Director, this pivotal role works across the WaterAid federation to achieve the political and policy changes needed to ensure universal access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
The Global Head of Campaigns will lead WaterAid's campaigning on one of our two global advocacy priorities (currently climate). They will drive our strategic direction and, create the campaigns plan to embed WASH in the climate change agenda, building up political momentum, broadening out our campaign alliances and influential champions. The post-holder will be a champion for campaigning within the organisation, ensuring we achieve a greater impact than the sum of our parts through effective and strategic campaigning across countries, regions and international levels to deliver WaterAid's mission of WASH for Everyone Everywhere by 2030.
Team Description
The Campaigns Team plays a leadership role across the WaterAid Federation to drive the design and delivery of WaterAid's major advocacy and campaigns efforts to achieve SDG 6. We deliver an ambitious agenda, grounded in national level change and impact, using a variety of campaigning tactics, including advocacy, lobbying and working with influential people and organisations

Campaigns leadership
- Campaigning leadership of one of the two WaterAid global advocacy priorities (currently climate) in a way that delivers impact.
- Alongside our International Affairs team, lead WaterAid's international influencing strategy, working with other teams to drive our engagement in key global political processes that will drive forward our advocacy agenda, with a clear vision of what success looks like and how it contributes to the theory of change
- Build and lead public engagement and campaigning strategy to drive awareness and action on our global advocacy priority.

Toute la planification, le calendrier et la mise en œuvre des activités seront étroitement coordonnés avec l'équipe d'influence et de communication de WaterAid en Afrique de l'Ouest. Le responsable régional des communications et le responsable régional des politiques et des campagnes cogéreront le consultant et seront responsables de fournir toutes les données et informations nécessaires à la bonne réalisation de la mission, à la demande du consultant.
Résultats attendus et livrables
Le(s) consultant(s) devra(nt) livrer :
- Stratégie d'un an pour la communauté, avec un calendrier de moments clés de mobilisation jusqu'à la fin de 2025
- Cartographie du public cible
- Création d'une plateforme digitale
- Activation autour de la Journée mondiale des toilettes
- Rapport d'évaluation et de recommandations, axé sur les activités à long terme visant à soutenir et à développer la communauté des acteurs du changement
Durée de la mission
Ce projet devrait nécessiter un minimum de 30 jours de travail de conseil, répartis entre août et décembre 2024. Les indications ci-dessous peuvent être négociées avec le consultant :
- La Cartographie du public cible : 06 jours en août
- La Stratégie d'engagement de la communauté : 10 jours en août
- Le Plan de la Journée Mondiale des Toilettes : 05 jours en septembre
- La Plateforme numérique : 05 jours en octobre
- Le Lancement de l'activation : 02 jours en novembre
- Le Rapport de recommandation : 02 jours en décembre.
Consultant en profil
Le consultant, ou l'équipe de consultants, doit idéalement avoir une solide connaissance pratique du contexte des pays où WaterAid Afrique de l'Ouest est présente (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Libéria, Niger et Nigeria). Une bonne compréhension de l'environnement politique et numérique est cruciale, tout comme une expérience des campagnes publiques.
Pour réussir, vous devrez avoir :
- Une vaste expérience de la mobilisation publique et de la mise en œuvre de campagnes fortement axées sur le numérique ;
- Solide compréhension et réseautage avec des parties prenantes externes, y compris des agences numériques avec lesquelles nous pourrions nous associer;
- Expérience solide et pratique avec des preuves de la création de plateformes numériques ;
- Expertise dans le secteur de l'eau, de l'assainissement et de l'hygiène, de préférence avec une connaissance du contexte ouest-africain. Une solide expérience dans d'autres secteurs est un atout, en particulier les droits de l'homme ;
- Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français obligatoire.

We are looking for a Deputy Venues Manager to take full responsibility in supporting the Venues and Entertainments Manager in leading and operating a successful bars and Events operation and giving our student members an excellent service experiences every day, looking to implement our bars operation with new and innovative ideas. This role forms a key part of our Operations team, led by the Director of Operations. Comprising of both front facing and behind the scenes departments including Cafes and Bars, Bloomsbury Fitness gym, Human Resources, Facilities and Systems, the team delivers core functions and central services for the Union, as well as providing a diverse range of quality facilities accessible to our 40,000 members.
The role is a full-time and permanent contract.
Do you have significant experience of working in a bars licensed environment? Have you got experience of minimizing cash & stock losses by implementing procedures?
The post holder will assist the Venues and Entertainments Manager in managing the activities of all Venues/Bars and staffs, including student supervisors and have overall responsibility for the quality and quantity of work for all staffs. The successful candidate will also organize and manage the delivery of the venues/ bars service across the Students’ Union in a way that meets the specific needs and requirements of students and staffs in terms of time, quality, quantity and cost. The role holder will carry out checks on a regular basis to review the financial performance of the outlets and evaluate the value for money of existing working practices, resource levels and supply arrangements.
