We are expanding this vital role and looking for a full-time Money Course Coordinator to match our ambitious plans to equip more individuals with money skills. The primary purpose of this role is to manage Crosslight’s money skills courses that are attended by the local community as well as our debt advice clients. These are delivered in-person or online, taking place in a range of different locations across our network.
This role will involve taking ownership of the planning and running of our free and paid-for courses in all their forms. The role holder will act as a ‘champion’ for the courses, promoting them internally and externally, including through community engagement and outreach in different locations. And they will have the opportunity to deliver some of our workshops, as well as supporting and equipping our volunteers to do so to a high standard.
For the right candidate, this role is an exciting opportunity to play a part in supporting a wide range of people, through excellent organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills.

NAPAC provides the only free national support service for adult survivors of all types of childhood abuse. We offer specialist, confidential support to all adult survivors of any type of abuse, operated by experienced staff and trained volunteers.

As a support line Call Handler, you will be a key member of our dedicated team, providing emotional support and a safe environment for callers with a wide range of complex issues.
NAPAC offers full training and hands-on support for call handlers with every call they receive. You will use the knowledge and skills you’ve developed through our training to explore issues relating to childhood abuse and it how it effects adulthood and signpost callers to relevant resources and services that can provide more in-depth support. Calls are caller-led, and you will be there to empower each caller to take back control in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow confidentiality and safeguarding policies
- Provide appropriate signposting to external services in accordance to callers identified needs.
- Ensuring that key record keeping is maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements

INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
This role sits within the global communications team – part of the External Engagement directorate – at Girls Not Brides and will report to the Communications Manager. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation to reach strategic audiences, shaping conversations around ending child marriage, and positioning Girls Not Brides and our members as thought leaders. This role will shape our engagement with media as key strategic influencers and partners to advance the ending child marriage agenda, with a focus on global and cross-regional outlets.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities to engage media in order to influence powerholders and to shape the global and cross-regional narrative around child marriage. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely response to breaking news, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Media engagement and storytelling (60%)
● Develop and implement media plans aligned to communications, external engagement, and secretariat strategy.
● Manage Girls Not Brides’ press office function and media inbox, managing and coordinating day-to-day media enquiries and responding to requests in coordination with internal teams.
● Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media contacts for global and regional media outlets.

About The Rufford Foundation
The Rufford Foundation is a grant-making charity that provides funding for nature conservation programmes and projects.
The flagship Rufford Small Grants Programme awards funding to individuals working in developing countries who are starting on the ladder of conservation research and establishing pilot programmes. Since its inception in 1999, the Rufford Small Grants Programme has given over £37 million through more than 6,100 grants to projects in over 150 countries. The programme identifies scientists and practitioners at the early stages of their careers and provides targeted support to enable them to achieve their goal of making a difference in terms of conservation. In 2023, we started to pilot our Organisational Grants funding stream to provide core, multi-year funding to small local NGOs to help them strengthen their financial and institutional capacity to ensure long-term viability.
This is an exciting time to join The Rufford Foundation, as the postholder will play an essential role in encouraging grantees to apply for further funding. This new role will sit within the conservation team to coordinate the delivery and oversight of Rufford Small Grants.
Rufford Small Grants are renowned for being an important milestone in the careers of conservationists and researchers who may have limited experience in designing and delivering projects. We are very aware that unforeseen issues may arise and are considerate towards requests for project changes. The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer will review all project updates and reports to track project changes and to monitor project delivery against proposed plans.
The Rufford Foundation is involved with other conservation donors and practitioners looking at the evidence of conservation effectiveness and supporting learning from success and failure. We fully understand that conservation projects may not succeed as planned and that evaluating small grant project impacts over short timescales (1-3 years) is problematic. The MEL Officer will take this into account when reviewing project progress and evaluation reports.
The ideal candidate will bring previous experience of reviewing (or drafting) donor reports, have excellent analytical and communications skills and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of biodiversity conservation, ideally with some practical knowledge of conservation in countries where the foundation funds projects. Experience of coordinating work with grantees, including review of workplans, deliverables and budgets, would be highly desirable.
We are keen for the MEL Officer to use their expertise to design a MEL framework to help our grantees with their project proposals, and The Rufford Foundation to evaluate the impact of work across the Rufford Small Grant and Organisational Grant portfolios. The MEL Officer may also support grantees with their own project evaluations.
Principal Responsibilities
Rufford Small Grants
- Review narrative and financial reports for Rufford Small Grant projects, including comparative analysis of results versus original proposals.
- Draft brief summaries of the results of each project, highlighting project changes and outcomes, sharing these with colleagues in writing and at team meetings.
- Compile key achievements delivered through Rufford Small Grant projects.
- Make recommendations for Rufford staff to follow-up with grantees about further Rufford Small Grant funding.
- Work with colleagues to develop reporting guidelines and update our reporting templates.
- Support grantees with understanding and meeting Rufford reporting requirements – this might be done through online or in-person meetings with individuals or groups.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant-related activities specifically related to the review of Rufford Small Grant project reports.
- Using background material drafted as part of a recent consultancy, to develop high-level indicators for conservation and capacity building, lead in formalising an evaluation framework for The Rufford Foundation across all grant-making.

Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience of working within an environmental or biodiversity conservation NGO.
- Grant-making or project reporting, ideally within the conservation sector.

About the Role
We are looking for a Policy and Research Officer who is passionate about mental health service provision in the UK, to join a vibrant and thriving team, working to build the psychotherapeutic evidence base in support of the public interest and the charitable objectives. This is a particularly exciting time to join as we have just launched our three-year strategy.
You will be pivotal in developing and implementing the research and policy strategy, including campaigning to national policymakers to drive positive change in the mental health arena. To help to support and promote the research work of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors.
Key responsibilities include:
• To assist the policy and research manager and wider campaigns team in their ongoing national policy and campaigning work, such as raising awareness of psychotherapy and improving access to psychotherapy.
• Supporting all aspects of policy, campaigning and public affairs work – including MP engagement, campaign design and administration.
• Leading on the devolved policy engagement work in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
• Building relationships with stakeholders within parliament, public bodies, higher education institutions and the wider mental health sector.
• Contribute to work to lobby Government, NHS England, local commissioners and other decision makers and stakeholders.
• Undertake desk-based research to support policy objectives, such as literature reviews and scoping research.
• To support appropriate research projects, including collecting and analysing survey data.
• Provide administrative support to the organisation’s research committees.
• To assist in the organisation’s advocacy work on behalf of members and services.
• Produce written briefings, publications and other materials that communicate complex messages clearly and effectively to different audiences.
• To provide policy and research input to support the delivery of the organisation’s strategy.

The opportunity:
As a Full Stack Engineer transitioning to AI, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling AI-driven applications. Working alongside members of Better Society Capital’s teams, you’ll bridge the gap between complex AI systems and practical, user-facing solutions.
We’re not looking for somebody who is already an expert on all aspects of AI but we are looking for somebody that has a good breadth of IT expertise, the ability to translate complex technical language into something that non-experts can easily understand alongside a willingness to quickly learn and master new technologies and tools that will help Better Society Capital pragmatically implement suitable AI solutions to help our staff in delivering on our mission and goals. You’ll need to be a self-starter who is willing to investigate technologies and systems without requiring a great deal of technical oversight and steer as well as being capable of writing suitably targeted reports and deliver engaging content and initial training in new tools and techniques as we adopt them for all levels of staff with varying levels of traditional IT expertise.

Experience (essential)

Breadth of knowledge of IT tools and techniques, e.g. in areas such as database systems (e.g. SQL in general, SQL Server in particular), cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 (e.g. in SharePoint) and programming skills (e.g. Python, PowerShell, VBA). - Support the development of SPANA’s work with high-profile public figures, including celebrities and influencers, liaising with individuals and and their agents to support communications objectives.
- Support SPANA’s campaigning (lobbying and influence) work at meetings with partners and other stakeholders and identify media opportunities around advocacy work.
Brand and content
- Work with Communications Manager on SPANA publications, including copy for marketing materials, the website and internal communications.

Knowledge, Training and Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or with comparable press, journalistic or communications on-the-job experience.

We are currently looking to appoint an Impact/ Communications Officer to join our team. This role will principally sit in SMF’s Communications team and will also support the work of the Events and Research functions. The successful candidate will work directly with both teams to ensure that the SMF’s core messages, policy ideas and events reach their intended audiences, and that the SMF’s work has even greater impact on policymaking and public debate.
About the role:
We are looking for an outstanding communicator, with a deep interest in politics and current affairs to join our Impact team. The purpose of the role is to promote SMF’s insightful programme of policy work and research and position the think tank as a centre-ground thought leader in the media and with key political and civil service stakeholders. The role will also involve management of SMF’s social media and digital marketing channels.
The duties of the Impact/ Communications Officer will include, but not be limited to:
- Support the Communications Manager in delivering SMF’s communications strategy.
- Promote SMF publications to media, key government and political stakeholders and public, support with writing and editing press releases, answer press enquires and help to secure opinion pieces.
- Assist with writing and promoting commentary and other content for the SMF website.
- Help to deliver a pipeline of impactful parliamentary outreach.
- Manage the production of the SMF monthly newsletter and the weekly Wonk Week email, in conjunction with the Research team.
- Work collaboratively with SMF research sponsors to deliver excellent press, social media and public affairs outcomes.
- Horizon scan for developments in policy and politics for the SMF team, and use this to identify potential opportunities for the SMF research team to inform the policy process, engage with political stakeholders and to lend reactive comment to media
- Manage SMF social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube) and produce engaging content promoting SMF work. Live-tweet SMF events.
- Manage the SMF website, ensuring content is updated regularly. Maintain and update SMF brand guidelines where appropriate.
- Typeset and proofread SMF reports and briefing papers and ensure they are ready for publication. Work with the research team and SMF sponsors to coordinate dates and assets for publication launches.
- Assist the SMF Research team to develop and promote new reports, briefings and other outputs through the production of infographics and other digital content.
- Provide ad hoc support for the SMF Events team with the planning and delivery of events in Westminster and at the political Party Conferences. The latter may require some weekend work and travel, and the candidate must be available to work Autumn Party Conferences.
What we’re looking for:
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- At least a year’s experience working in marketing, digital communications, political campaigns or external affairs. This can be through paid or voluntary work.
- Ability to quickly digest complex research — including academic literature — to deliver compelling public affairs, social media and media outputs.
- Strong copywriting capabilities for a range of audiences, with an ability to explain complex policy concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team, as well as to effectively manage research project sponsors.
- A good understanding of, and keen interest in UK public policy and politics, and a commitment to the aims and objectives of the SMF. Some parliamentary experience is desirable, but not essential.
- Experience in writing, creating and sharing content for social media channels, ideally through the use of infographics and other visualisations of data and complex subject matter; some experience with Adobe Photoshop and video editing is desirable.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Good personal organisation skills, with the ability to take responsibility of your own workload to meet tight and conflicting deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure when necessary.
- Appetite for creating new and exciting mediums for disseminating the SMF’s work to policymakers and the public.

Standard SMF working hours are 9.30am-6pm, Monday to Friday. We actively encourage flexible working and working patterns which are different to these hours. The appointee will be able to design their working week – in discussion with colleagues – to accommodate family commitments and other obligations.
The SMF is based in Westminster and the post-holder will normally be expected to work in our office there at least two days a week, plus any additional days required by the team, for example to attend in-person SMF events. Other working time can be spent at home or in our office.
