The Individual Giving Manager will lead the implementation and development of our Individual Giving programme. You will be responsible for managing a team with ambitious targets and an exciting portfolio of campaigns to drive donor acquisition and retention, with a particular focus on digital campaigns.
You will work in a cross team manner, collaborating with colleagues to deliver activities that delight and inspire our supporters, encouraging long term partnership. You will form strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Role Summary
Our Communications Officer plays a key role in our central Communications team, working collaboratively with colleagues to create impactful messages which are consistent, clear and well-planned. Through this work, you’ll support thousands of people across three key work programmes – Behaviour Change, Culture Shift and Information and Advice. You’ll have a particular focus in supporting the Senior Communications Manager with messaging across emails, our website and other digital channels, and play a key role in developing content with people who want to share their own experiences of alcohol and alcohol harm. 7 Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Communications and content
1. Support the Senior Communications Manager to develop year-round content strategies and planning
2. Create clear copy for a range of channels (including website, emails, social media) which influences and motivates audiences to take action and support Alcohol Change UK’s work
3. Ensure all communications are well-framed, on-message and fit with our brand guidelines
4. Lead on our monthly newsletter, developing, writing and scheduling on Mailchimp, and using reports and insights to think creatively about how to engage our audiences effectively
5. Play a coordinating role for the organisation’s wider email communications, collaborating with colleagues from other departments to ensure regular engagement emails are on message, and on brand
Website maintenance and development
1. Create clear, well-written content for our website – particularly focusing on engaging Information and Advice content
2. Make regular updates to website content, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
3. Ensure ongoing implementation of our Search Engine Optimisation and accessibility best practices
4. Support the Senior Communications Manager with annual planning and implementation of improved user journeys and experiences
5. Act as a champion for the website, developing relationships with colleagues from across the organisation to support new projects, content and campaigns across the site
Enabling people to share their experiences
1. Empathetically and respectfully work with individuals to share their stories, creating a wide range of content (blogs, quotes and case studies) to be used flexibly across Alcohol Change UK’s channels
2. Follow up leads for people who want to share their experiences publicly
3. Utilise our CRM system to manage relationships and coordinate content by themes
4. Support colleagues from all teams to include impactful personal experiences, bringing our content and campaigns to life
Team support
1. Monitor team inboxes including dryjanuary@ and contact@ ensuring great customer service and that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely fashion
2. Complete monthly team KPI reports, with a specific focus on email and website engagement data, providing analysis for optimisation throughout the year 8
3. As required, support the Behaviour Change team with Facebook Community Group monitoring, completing slots on the agreed team rota
4. Provide ad-hoc support to the Digital team with social media monitoring and responses as required
Cross-organisational Role
1. Work closely with colleagues across the Communications team and wider charity to support their work and to act as ‘one team’
2. Contribute actively and positively to charity-wide strategies
Other Duties
1. Continually develop your knowledge of alcohol harm and solutions to it
2. Act as a positive ambassador for Alcohol Change UK at all times
3. Know, embrace and actively uphold the values of Alcohol Change UK at all times
4. Work flexible hours as necessary to meet the needs of the charity – time off in lieu will be earnt for any work required outside of normal working hours
Support through campaign periods
The post holder will be expected to support the team with additional tasks through our busiest period from November-January. All members of the communications team are expected to work at times during the Christmas and New Year period, including bank holidays. A rota system is in place and Time of in Lieu is provided for additional hours worked.

Job Title: Global Communications Officer

Part 1: Role Purpose:
Street Child is looking for a dynamic, confident individual with a passion for communications and a drive to make a difference.
We need a Global Communications Officer who is adaptable, personable, has an attention to detail and is ready to tackle any task with gusto. We are looking for someone who can drive forward our owned channel development, grow our website traffic and social media channels whilst maintaining strong platform engagement rates to generate fundraising.
Our ideal candidate will also create fresh campaigns with market cut through, develop clear, creative collateral, support our growing global advocacy efforts and identify opportunities for telling stories from Street Child’s programmes around the world. An eye for design and some basic editing skills is a bonus.
Part 2: Key Responsibilities:
1. Social channel content creation, maintenance and development
- Lead on the development and maintenance of the Street Child social channels, pushing forward our social strategy with a relentless focus on growth and engagement. Develop, create, and manage engaging content for our social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok), including identifying strategies for viral and timely content.
- Craft compelling copy and visuals that align with our brand voice and promote Street Child programmes around the world.
- Identify and leverage emerging trends and opportunities for Street Child’s social media presence.
2. Day-to-day website content updates & maintenance
- Lead on the day-to-day content updates and maintenance of the Street Child website, working to a turnaround time of 48 hours for business-as-usual activity.
- Work with external web developers to ensure Street Child’s website is optimised for raising awareness of our work, engaging supporters and raising funds.
- Develop high-quality written and visual content optimised for web, including managing our blog to ensure a steady output of content on Street Child programme areas, including primary education work, education in emergencies, and humanitarian programmes.
3. Communications resource for global fundraising teams
- Support the strategic development and communications needs of European and North American entities, ensuring a strong cohesive global voice for Street Child.
- Support global fundraising teams on all communication resource needs, including but not limited to event publicity/promotion, key appeal content and community resource generation.
- Support the creation of content/collateral for fundraising teams.
- Support the development of corporate communications, including but not limited to the design of impact reports, event promotion and publicity.
- Work with colleagues in other fundraising teams to establish communication calendars and plan for their respective areas of work, identifying communication needs and deadlines ahead of time.
4. Global advocacy communications support
- Support the delivery of global advocacy events, such as UNGA and World Economic Forum.
- Support corporate communications strategies around global advocacy events, such as UNGA and World Economic Forum.
- Craft compelling advocacy messages for Street Child-owned channels, working closely with our global programmes experts to position the organisation as though-leaders in the global education sector.
5. Wider MMC support
- Support the delivery of key content and assets for media.
- Support the contracting of in-country photographers and videographers.
- Support the individual giving donor mapping and communications development, helping to deepen and develop our donor relationships and increase unrestricted fundraising.
- Able to represent Street Child appropriately both internally and externally.

The Eve Appeal is the UK’s leading charity working on prevention of the five gynaecological cancers – womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal. Our aim is to prevent gynaecological cancers and save lives by raising awareness and funding ground-breaking research focused on risk prediction, earlier detection and developing screening for all of the five gynae cancers.
What's this role about?
This exciting position is responsible for delivering our fundraising programme to the public, with support from our Deputy Head of Fundraising.
You will focus on delivering key fundraising activities and an exceptional experience to a wide range of supporters, ensuring that you deepen relationships and maximise value. You will also coordinate and deliver the marketing of our public fundraising activity, alongside colleagues in communications and digital engagement.
The role works across three key areas:
- Individual giving (direct marketing, regular giving, in-memory)
- Sporting events & challenges (virtual challenges, running events, our annual bespoke trek)
- Community fundraising (campaigns, community groups, ad-hoc fundraisers)
We do not expect you to have experience across all three areas.
This role is also responsible for the line management of our Fundraising Assistant, who you will help to develop in their role and ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to progress in their fundraising career, take on line management responsibility, or wanting to bring their experience and transferable skills from another sector.
Person specification
To fulfil this role, we believe you will need the following skills and experiences:
- Experience in at least one of individual giving, sporting & challenge events, or community fundraising, or transferable skills and/or experience.
- Effective communicator, able to engage and inspire others about The Eve Appeal's work.
- Strong copywriting skills with experience targeting various audiences, channels, and activities.
- Understanding of digital marketing.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Ability to analyse data, derive insights, and present findings to influence decision making.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Ability to confidently use database software. Experience of Raiser’s Edge NXT is an advantage.
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- A demonstrable affinity, passion, and knowledge of women’s health and gynaecological cancers.

About the Role:
As our Senior Marketing Officer (Supporter Activation) you will project lead our highly successful water bill insert campaign (managed in close collaboration with the Water Industry Partnership Team). Overseeing the delivery of these campaigns from briefing through to post-campaign analysis, as well as the development of new ideas to maximise the opportunities offered by this relationship.
You'll support the Marketing Manager and wider team in the day-to-day development, management and delivery of a number of fundraising campaigns. In particular our successful DRTV programme, managing the relationship with our telemarketing agency and support in planning and delivery of new creative.
You'll also:
- Managing our response handling agency to ensure effective conversion of response for our DRTV campaigns through regular monitoring and testing; providing training and development and analysing results regularly.
- Manage agency relationships; overseeing the management and development of any campaigns from briefing through to post-campaign analysis, collaborating with external partners, taking responsibility for resolving queries, trafficking all stages of the project and escalation of potential problems.
- Help develop and manage expenditure and income budgets. Help create the budget, to monitor monthly management accounts and key performance indicators and to undertake reforecasts as required.
- Regularly monitor, evaluate and analyse campaigns, providing regular results and recommendations for strategy development based on reviews and analysis.
- Liaise with team leaders and project managers in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities utilising specialist knowledge and experience in direct marketing.
- Remain up-to-date about developments in the external market-place and assess the suitability of new, innovative approaches for recruiting supporters to remain competitive.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that all supporter communications are consistent with the WaterAid brand, working closely with the International, Policy and Campaigns, and Communications teams.
About You:
- Successful track record of working in a direct marketing role, including proven experience of planning and executing campaigns across different channels, including digital.
- Experience of managing telemarketing, call handling and large-scale print campaigns
- Experience of managing creative development, including writing creative briefs, working with creative agencies, ensuring the correct sign off procedures are followed, and appropriate stakeholders consulted.
- Project management experience including identifying opportunities and managing through to implementation.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently, to manage varying competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with often changing priorities.
- The ability to work as part of a team and collaboratively with a diverse group to deliver cross-organisational projects or objectives.
- Excellent numeracy skills with attention to detail and experience in monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrable experience managing external suppliers.
Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:
- Experience of working in the voluntary / fundraising sector.
- Experience of delivering supporter direct mail and communication programmes.
- Experience managing new product development and/or innovation projects.
- Empathy with and understanding of overseas development issues.
