The Individual Giving Manager will lead the implementation and development of our Individual Giving programme. You will be responsible for managing a team with ambitious targets and an exciting portfolio of campaigns to drive donor acquisition and retention, with a particular focus on digital campaigns.
You will work in a cross team manner, collaborating with colleagues to deliver activities that delight and inspire our supporters, encouraging long term partnership. You will form strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
We promote flexible working at Terrence Higgins Trust. This position will be a hybrid role based between our offices in either London, Brighton or Glasgow and home working. We offer both National Allowance and London Allowance on top of base salary, depending on location.

Main purpose of post
This role will lead our individual giving campaigns ensuring key audiences see the impact of the charity and are motivated to donate to support the continuation of our work. It will build on existing successful campaigns, including our Christmas Star appeal, and create new and engaging additions. You will ensure the donor journey is sensitive, engaging and straightforward and place a high importance on the ongoing stewardship of donors.
You will report to the Head of Fundraising and work alongside our Fundraising Team to ensure plans align and budget targets are achieved. You will work closely with the Campaign Manager and Data Manager to target individual giving effectively across South Yorkshire, Bassetlaw and North Derbyshire.
This is the perfect role for anyone who loves to plan and see those plans through to completion, who has excellent customer care skills and who is digitally savvy. You will enjoy working as part of a busy fundraising team and collaborating to achieve collective success.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and implement the individual giving donor journey to increase the charity’s individual gifts including regular and pay roll giving.
· Lead the creation of fundraising individual giving campaigns to recruit new donors, retain existing supporters and grow reach, engagement and income.
· Lead the development of new individual giving campaigns, working closely with the Campaign Manager, to deliver direct marketing campaigns across various channels, which enhance current supporters understanding of the difference their donation makes and also encourages new supporters to donate to our cause and projects.
· To create new individual giving income opportunities, including introducing a charity lottery.
· Review and evaluate campaigns against income and impact success factors and implement improvements.
· Maximise all gift aid opportunities within the agreed audiences.
· Be responsible for an income target of a minimum of £300,000 per annum.
· Manage relationships with existing supporters to ensure a high level of donor care is achieved whilst achieving and maximising income opportunities.
· Analyse and segment the charity's supporter base, developing appropriate supporter journeys and propositions, and the effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.
· Utilise digital methods and platforms for new donor acquisition.
· To assist in the delivery of a range of donor, supporter and staff engagement events throughout the year in line with our donor recognition & stewardship plan.
· Contribute to development of the fundraising annual plan to drive forward the charity’s ambitious plans for change and growth in line with the 3 year strategy.
· Ensure that all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM (Raiser’s Edge).
· Ensure all fundraising activity complies with laws and best practice governing charitable activity, most notably General Data Protection Regulations, Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice and charity law.
· Attend and contribute to team meetings and 'away days' and be an active, invested member of our team.
· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region to attend charity fundraising events.
· Able to work flexibly, including occasionally working in the evenings and at weekends.

We are looking for a passionate fundraiser or direct marketer with a hands-on approach to deliver effective fundraising campaigns across the UK and Norway and work closely with the Italy and Ireland teams to maximise supporter engagement and long-term income growth for Sightsavers.
To succeed in this role you will have:
* experience in Fundraising or Direct Marketing to include implementing successful direct marketing campaigns to mass market audiences
* previous experience with the print process, working with agencies, data and managing campaign budgets
* project management and planning skills as well as excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

In the UK, around 1 in 5 children and 1 in 10 adults live with eczema, so lots of people look to the charity for hope and support. Fundraising underpins all of the charity’s work and is crucial to their success. As Fundraising Lead you will be responsible for driving donations and supporter engagement using personal, story-led communications.
Some key responsibilities will include;
- Managing individual giving activity – including activities such asregular giving, one-off donations and appeals, digital fundraising and payroll giving
- Developing and implementing a supporter engagement programme – create a multi-channel communication programme to optimise supporter retention and deepen engagement
- Leading on supporter appeals - working with other function leads to ensure activity is integrated and optimised
- Managing challenge event activity - including promoting and allocating National Eczema Society Gold Bond places in key events
- General management activities – such as budgeting, planning, strategy development

A well established UK charity are seeking an experienced Individual Giving and Data Manager to join their Development team. In this role, the you will manage donor data and deliver targeted communications to individual donors, focusing on regular giving programmes and fundraising from event attendees. You will also play a crucial role in our CRM transition to Salesforce, ensuring smooth data migration and implementing new fundraising processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- CRM/Data Management: Lead the Development team in transitioning to a new CRM system, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Support team members in using the new system and develop processes for managing fundraising communications.
- Individual Giving: Implement and manage regular giving strategies and develop and enhance digital fundraising platforms and coordinate donation webpages.
- Donor Stewardship: Develop and maintain a robust stewardship process, ensuring donors receive timely acknowledgments and updates on the impact of their gifts. Support stewardship events and recognition activities.
- Communications: Create and manage fundraising communications for individual donors, working closely with the Digital and Public Events Teams.
Requirements:

The Individual Giving & Acquisitions Lead is a new role in their Marketing & Communications team. The postholder will play a key role in developing and delivering the Individual Giving Programme to drive income growth, engage new audiences and retain existing supporters. This role would suit a candidate looking to harness their skill set in direct marketing and use their ability to create new fundraising products to set up an Individual Giving Programme from scratch, with support from the Head of Marketing & Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on creating and implementing a strategy to support the development of a new Individual Giving and Acquisition Programme in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Communications.
- Plan, develop and implement a range of direct marketing campaigns to support the acquisition of new donors and the retention of existing supporters, ensuring that all campaigns are managed effectively and delivered on time and within budget.
- Deliver personalised and tailored content to increase engagement with existing and new supporters.
- Enhance supporter journeys by using data insights to develop segmentation and improve targeting for IG activities.
- To effectively manage the end-to-end creative process from inception to execution of direct marketing campaigns.
- Working with the database manager, report on post-campaign data analysis to evaluate effectiveness and understand ROI.
- Working with the Head of Marketing & Communications to deliver an excellent supporter experience across all communications and fundraising activity, working with colleagues to ensure consistency with other fundraising programmes.
- Brief, monitor and manage internal stakeholders’ relationships for Individual Giving campaigns and projects, maximising opportunities to cross sell across all audiences.
Person Specification:
- Proven track record of DM campaign management experience.
- Proficient experience of working with data selections, segmentation and campaign analysis.
- Significant experience in managing the end-to-end creative process and proven success in donor acquisition and retentions.
- Experience in designing and delivering supporter journeys for a variety of audiences.
- Experience of delivering excellent results within agreed budgets and on schedule.
