Pregnancy Options Centre (Options) are seeking a Fundraising and Marketing Officer to raise funds for our counselling and education services: supporting people in crisis or distress around unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss experiences and educating the next generation on matters surrounding sexual health and healthy relationships. The post-holder will be responsible for raising funds from grants/trusts applications, and for developing and maintaining donor relationships. They will also take the lead on marketing the charity through social media, publicity and our website.
Pregnancy Options Centre provides free, non-directive help and support to anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy or struggling following an abortion or pregnancy loss. We offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings surrounding their situation and experiences. Alongside our counselling service, our Education project delivers interactive workshops to young people on topics surrounding healthy sex and relationships, self-esteem and the three options following an unplanned pregnancy: abortion, adoption and parenting.
Fundraising and Marketing Officer Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Finance:
- To carry out and contribute to the fundraising strategy
- Write comprehensive and compelling funding applications to Trusts and Foundations, tailoring them to meet a range of criteria
- To research and develop new funders to support the achievement of fundraising goals
- Build, nurture and maintain positive relationships with current funders, corporates and donors by stewarding them well.
- Ensure grants are acknowledged promptly and reporting requirements are met within agreed timescales
- To maintain up to date and accurate funder and donor records
- Work with project leads to identify and produce case studies/ service user statistics to demonstrate the impact of the charity’s projects
- Work with the CEO on community fundraising events, either organised by the charity or supporters.
- Explore innovative ways to diversify and expand Pregnancy Options Centre’s fundraising efforts.
Marketing:
- Manage Pregnancy Options Centre’s website: maintain and update content; optimise pages for audience and campaigns.
- Manage Pregnancy Options Centre’s social media channels; develop and execute a content plan, schedule, create and post engaging content, monitor and respond to supporters to build our following.
- Create and edit short-form videos for social media
- Write and design Pregnancy Options Centre’s Bi-monthly Newsletter; build our following and increase supporter engagement.
- Work with the CEO to devise supporter care procedures for donors to ensure they feel valued by their interactions with us.
- In conjunction with the CEO, attend relevant networking events to increase the charity’s visibility and secure new partnerships.
Other:
- To provide quarterly reports for Trustee meetings
- To attend monthly staff meetings
- To carry out all such reasonable duties as may be required as part of the role instructed by the CEO

Specific Duties
Leadership
- To lead and inspire the Mass Participation team fostering a collaborative and high performing culture that delivers against income and objectives

Mass Participation Fundraising
- Lead the development of all fundraising products, propositions and community and events, to effectively acquire and engage our mass audience target markets

- Lead the development of a robust lottery programme
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Income Generation to develop an approach to Gifts in Wills and legacy marketing
- Maximise income, by overseeing the development of key income sources, including community, challenge events, in memoriam and regular giving programmes
- Drive an innovation-focused culture, constantly evolving our product offerings to expand the charity’s reach and impact
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on sector and market trends, the legal environment impacting on public fundraising and ensure compliance with standards determined by Fundraising Regulator
- Lead on the development and execution of acquisition strategies to meet agreed targets
- Lead on the development and execution of retention, conversion and upgrade strategies to ensure donor LTV and sustainable income
Strategy, Planning and reporting
- Develop and execute bold strategies to grow the charity’s mass participation portfolio, optimising supporter journey and maximising income generation
- Work with the Director of Income Generation and the Head of Mass Participation Fundraising to develop the annual budget, including leading on monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly reforecasts and reporting against KPI’s and milestones
- Oversee the development of supporter journeys and stewardship of all mass audiences and key community relationships to maximise retention and ensure long-term income growth
Collaboration
- In collaboration with the Marketing Communications team, oversee the development of compelling integrated fundraising acquisition and engagement plans
- Liaise with trustees’ internal stakeholders to develop Mass fundraising activity, and contribute to reporting for trustees and SLT as required
- Manage key agency relationships to deliver successful fundraising

About the Role
EduSpots is seeking a Global Philanthropy Manager—an engaging, dynamic, and proven fundraising specialist who will play a key part in our next phase of growth. As we continue to expand, we need an individual with a track record of securing income from trusts and foundations, ideally at the 5- to 6-figure level (GBP), and the ability to cultivate new funding partnerships.
In the past two years, we have doubled our income and expanded our programmes significantly. The Role
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust had an income of £4.7m in year ending March 2024, and this has grown again in the last 12 months. To push ahead with the Trust’s vital work to restore the natural environment across Staffordshire, and to meet the strategic goals by 2030, the Trust needs to increase its revenue substantially.
You’ll be leading a dedicated fundraising and communications team currently made up of 10 staff but set to grow. This position is a new one, and one of the key recommendations of a fundraising research assignment conducted at the end of 2024.
The Head of Fundraising and Development will report to the Chief Executive and be a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

• Develop and implement a five-year fundraising strategy

About You

The Regular Giving Campaigns Manager will play a key role in growing donations to the College’s Annual Fund by leading on the strategy, execution, and analysis of fundraising campaigns to drive funding for student support. This includes managing telethon campaigns, digital and print appeals, and ensuring smooth delivery with internal and external partners.
The role also includes stewardship and retention activities, such as publicizing the impact of regular giving and managing the 1509 Society donor circle. The manager will support major donor identification and growth, oversee the regular giving budget, and stay updated on fundraising trends and best practices. There is some CRM and data management, focusing on donor segmentation, analysis, and improving data quality.
This role is critical to increasing participation among alumni, ensuring sustainable funding for student support and College priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Planning, Execution & Analysis
- Lead all Annual Fund campaigns, including telethon, giving day, digital and print appeals, which seek to generate funding towards student support, increasing participation among alumni and community base year-on-year. Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth campaign delivery.
- Plan, lead and execute all telethon campaigns including caller recruitment; training and supervision of callers; production and distribution of pre-call and post-call materials; data segmentation, handling, and analysis to ensure smooth-running of campaigns.
- Prepare Annual Fund communications such as leaflets, letters, and other materials from idea through to drafting, design, printing, and mailing.
- Analyse the efficacy of past appeals to improve performance and lead on identifying trends and donor interests to significantly improve the targeting of appeals.
- Produce reports on progress of Annual Fund activities with relevant metrics and propose appropriate responses to these results.
- Establish and maintain an understanding of the College’s academic objectives and their relationship to the Development Team priorities.

- Manage and grow the 1509 Society donor circle, and work with the Development Director and Senior Development Executive to identify regular donors to move into the pool of potential major donors.

CRM & Data Management
- Manage and update donor data in the CRM to ensure accurate and secure record-keeping.
- Analyse fundraising data to track performance and refine strategies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and proper stewardship of donor information.
Training
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and development and participate in training relevant to the role.

Terms and Conditions of Employment
Appointment
This appointment is offered as a full time, permanent contract. There is an initial probationary period of six months. The appointment will be conditional on verification of the successful candidate’s ‘Right to Work’ checks and subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and medical clearance through the University’s Occupational Health Services.
Salary
To be paid on the College Grade 6 scale depending on experience. Advancement up the scale is on merit.
Hours of work
Full time 35 hours each week. Standard hours are from 9am until 5pm, with an unpaid hour taken for lunch, Monday to Friday.
Certain events in Development will require attendance outside of these core hours, notably the annual Telethon which is run over 2-weeks, and will likely amount to two weekends, plus 2 extra hours per day for 1-week.
The postholder will be required to work the hours necessary to fulfil the job requirements and subject to operational needs. A willingness and ability to adopt a flexible approach to working hours and duties is essential according to the requirements of the College.

- Annual leave - The holiday year begins on 1 January and ends 31 December. The paid holiday entitlement for a full-time contract is six working weeks (30 days) annual leave (5 days to be taken over Christmas break) plus statutory Bank Holidays. The remainder to be taken at such times and shall be mutually convenient, and agreed in advance. Bank Holidays which fall within the full terms of the University of Oxford are normally worked, for which compensatory time off in lieu will be given. The holiday year runs from 1 January to 31 December.

1. Main Duties
Communications Strategy
- Design, develop, and implement the Diocese’s Communications Strategy which is fully aligned with the Diocese ten-year Mission plan.
- Research and identify appropriate methods and channels including secular and religious media to raise the Diocese’s profile and in turn that of the Catholic church.

Salary: £30,000 per annum, pro-rata

About Woolwich Service Users Project (WSUP)
WSUP is a grassroots charity providing holistic support to individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, and mental health challenges in Woolwich and Greenwich. With a focus on lived experience and implementation of trauma-informed practice, we offer a range of essential services, from haircuts and healthcare screenings to wellbeing activities and community advocacy.

We are seeking a Fundraising Officer to help us grow our income from trusts, foundations, corporate donors, and individual giving.

Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising & income generation

Trusts & grants: Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

Corporate & individual giving: Work alongside Business Relations Manager to develop relationships with corporate sponsors and individual donors, creating engagement opportunities.

Donor stewardship: Manage and nurture relationships with funders, ensuring timely reporting and impact updates.

Donor stewardship: Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

Fundraising strategy: Support the development and implementation of WSUP’s fundraising strategy, identifying new opportunities for income growth.

Event fundraising: Assist in planning and delivering fundraising events to engage supporters and raise unrestricted funds.

Financial oversight: Work with the CEO to develop fundraising budgets and ensure accurate income tracking.

Financial oversight: Process cash and cheque donations for Community & Events income, including ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database which may include batch uploads.

Campaigns & appeals: Develop and implement online fundraising campaigns, such as Winter Appeal or emergency appeals.

Storytelling & impact reporting: Work with guests (with their consent) to share real-life stories that showcase WSUP’s work.
Person Specification
Essential skills & experience

Fundraising knowledge: Understanding of trust, foundation, and corporate fundraising, with experience writing successful grant applications.

Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports.

Relationship management: Ability to build relationships with funders, donors, and stakeholders at various levels.

Organisational skills: Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Social media: Experience using social media for fundraising and engagement, with an understanding of digital marketing principles.

IT proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), databases, and social media scheduling tools.

Financial literacy: Ability to create fundraising budgets and financial reports.
Desirable skills & experience

Experience in a small charity setting, ideally within the homelessness or health-related sector, understanding the challenges and opportunities of grassroots fundraising.

Proven ability to use videos and infographics to enhance fundraising campaigns.
