PURPOSE OF THE POST/RESPONSIBILITIES
Caudwell Children is a national charity which works to change the lives of disabled and autistic children; change society’s understanding and acceptance of disability; and change public perceptions of the important role that charity plays in society.
Based from the award-winning Caudwell International Children’s Centre in Staffordshire, we seek an experienced relationship manager with the ability to identify opportunities and develop relationships to raise funds which support the charity’s expanding service delivery.
Responsible for the ownership and development of supporter relationships, this role will play a pivotal part in helping to grow the charity’s fundraising income and helping to change the lives of autistic and disabled children across the UK and beyond.
The successful candidate will join a growing team of enthusiastic fundraising professionals aimed at improving the donor experience and growing the charity’s repeat and sustainable income.
The role will be part of the Individual Giving fundraising strand which will be responsible for income lines including, but not limited to:
- Major Gifts
- Regular Gifts
- Wills & Legacy
- Raffles & Lottery
Success will be supported and monitored by the Director of Public Fundraising against KPI’s including lead generation, conversion rates and income growth.
Relationship development will be documented and reported using the charity’s dedicated CRM system (currently Raiser’s Edge).
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Demonstrable experience in fundraising/sales/relationship management
- Demonstrable understanding of the charity sector and professional fundraising

The role
We have experienced an exponential growth in income from public fundraising leading to an increased awareness of fuel poverty. To build on this success and maintain increased unrestricted income from a wider fundraising mix, we are recruiting a Fundraising Officer to join our knowledgeable and caring team.
The new Fundraising officer will join a small, friendly, but hardworking team who raise funds from a variety of sources including trust and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, events and community fundraisers and individual giving.
What you will need to succeed
You will have a strong knowledge of fundraising and income generation, and you will play a major part in significantly increasing income growth. Reporting into the Fundraising Manager, you will be a motivated and talented Fundraising Officer who will help us grow our unrestricted income and expand our pool of donors.
You will be required to lead your own portfolio of work, researching and identifying potential new funders, submitting applications and pitching for partnerships and support, as well as building strong relationships with donors.
You should have demonstrable experience of working in a Fundraising role, with the ability to cover the whole spectrum of fundraising duties, thinking strategically and working operationally.
Your base location is negotiable, but you will be expected to travel across England, Wales and Northern Ireland with overnight stays as required.
Hybrid and home working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.
We are offering:
£29,778 to £34,546 per annum (Scale 6 - SO1, Points 18 – 25) plus London weighting of £3,300 if applicable. New appointments will usually begin at the starting point of the scale.

Temwa is seeking a dynamic Fundraising & Development Manager to lead and expand our charity's fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will be experienced, confident, and honest, with a deep passion for international development.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Overseeing the fundraising team, including the Programme & Trust Officer who supports grant applications and reporting, and the Fundraising & Events Coordinator who supports individual giving, events, and trading.

We have a highly skilled team of 30 full-time employees in Malawi implementing this work, based out of two offices in the Northern Region. Our UK office in Bristol comprises a small fundraising and operations team of seven staff (two team members are full-time, all other team members are part-time), 3-5 regular volunteers and interns, and a wider family of volunteers and supporters.
Temwa UK has an experienced and high functioning board of Trustees who are very engaged. The board member who oversees the fundraising portfolio is very active, providing support to the Fundraising & Development Manager and the fundraising team as a whole.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Managing the fundraising strategy and donor relations with oversight of the fundraising office
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the charity’s income generation strategy, ensuring targets are achieved.
- Align the fundraising strategy with the communications and marketing strategy.
- Act as the organizational expert on income generation, leading the team to expand all relevant fundraising streams.
- Maintain and enhance current income streams, including trust fundraising, corporate fundraising, high value donors, and individual giving.
- Maintain relationships with key donors and their specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the Programme Advisor and Programmes Director in Malawi to align community needs with donor priorities.
- Lead, research & review the opportunities to apply for institutional funding with the Programme Advisor.
- Manage donor relations and communication with the Managing Director, Programme Advisor, and UK fundraising team.
- Contribute to donor reporting and distribution donor reports, and ensure compliance to donor-relevant obligations with the Programme Advisor.
- The Fundraising & Development Manager will report directly to the MD and Board of Trustees.
2. Providing leadership to and managing the fundraising team
- Develop, coach, inspire, and motivate the team to achieve their objectives and grow their skills.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones with direct reports, ensuring effective performance management with timely appraisals.
- Ensure team members have clear work plans and objectives.
- Champion best practices in particular with use of the database, ensuring all legal and compliance standards are met and, where possible, exceeded in fundraising and marketing activities.
- Recruit key fundraising team members as needed.
- Support the fundraising team in designing and managing effective marketing and communications strategies.
- Facilitate effective internal and external communication, sharing information, successes, and best practices.
3. Growing income streams
- Lead and manage all fundraising areas in the UK office, ensuring targets are met.
- Develop and manage comprehensive budgets, providing performance information to the Senior Management Team and Trustees.
- Ensure effective management of the donor journey for all contacts.
- Research and develop business cases for new income generation areas to drive sustainability.
- Implement and evaluate new income generation projects.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with significant supporters, making effective asks to maximize income.
- Adhere to best practices and embed a culture of learning within the organization.
- Develop and implement a strategy to increase corporate fundraising through the Temwa Carbon Balance Programme.
- Grow and develop SME and corporate partnerships with support from the Managing Director and Fundraising Trustee.
- Develop and implement a strategy to increase corporate funding, individual giving, institutional funding and trust & foundation funding.
- Lead on all grant applications, including trust & foundation and institutional.
- Manage individual giving campaigns and online activities with support from the fundraising team.
- Source individual stories and images, brief internal and external teams, and write copy as needed.

4. Senior management
- Collaborate with the management team to reach key audiences and achieve strategic goals.
- Provide strategic direction for fundraising and communications, nurturing team members to develop their skills.

- Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and Trustees.
- Play an active role in updating the organization’s strategic plan and shaping the charity's future direction.
· Serve as the deputy to the Managing Director when the MD is in Malawi or on annual leave.

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:
The ideal applicant would have the following attributes
· Experience of working in a senior fundraising role
· Certificate or diploma from the Institue of Fundraising or similar
· Track record of setting and achieving fundraising income targets

ROLE SUMMARY
The Head of Fundraising & Events will contribute to the growth of upReach through the raising of significant funds; you will have oversight of income generation from various sources including major donors, individuals, trusts & foundations and a portfolio of events. The role will suit innovative individuals with significant experience of fundraising from major donors and at least one of the other specified income streams, and event planning.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Fundraising & Events will support upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. You will use clear, creative written communication to produce convincing cases for support, represent the charity at relevant networking events, work closely with the upReach Development Board and act as an ambassador for the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will manage three direct reports and support individuals participating in the Future Charity Leaders Programme (upReach’s graduate scheme). You will work closely with the CEO, Programmes and Finance teams and colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team.
The core responsibilities include:
Leadership and strategy

Lead income generation to realise financial targets in line with the overarching strategy, personal responsibility for securing 5 and 6 figure gifts.

The Role
As our Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will build and sustain our major gifts programme, driving our income stream and ensuring our work can continue.
Specifically, you will secure long-term relationships with high net-worth donors, capitalising on environmental philanthropy.
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Development, you will facilitate the development of the major gifts programme, working collaboratively to develop and deliver a major gifts strategy to generate up to six-figure gifts.
You will build a prospect pipeline of donors, develop compelling, well-defined cases for support, and undertake long-term, innovative and impactful projects and themed areas of work.

Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
- Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail with excellent customer care
- Priority is to answer incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to Supporter Care Manager
- Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
- Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
- Be responsible for thanking our supporters including by letter, email and phone, despatch of information and fundraising materials
- Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
- Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date this will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
- Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
- Manage removal process and consent process
- Assist with sending out problem payment letters
- Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on Database
- Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
- Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality
- Play an active role in developing the supporter journey at Operation Smile UK, working with the Supporter Care Manager, Head of Supporter Care & Database, and colleagues across Fundraising & Communications.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Supporter Care Manager or Head of Supporter Care & Database.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders

- Strong eye for detail, methodical and accurate (critical that the database and supporter details at 100% accurate)
- Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).

- Experience of donation or financial administration and working in a direct marketing environment or supporter care environment desirable with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- Experience of outward facing donor stewardship, and relationship building.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.

About this key role

We are looking for an empathetic self-starter to become our new Legacy Manager. This is a varied role, where you will be working with the Head of Individual Giving & Legacies to plan and manage the full breadth of a small legacy programme, which has huge ambition for growth.

From briefing our Chief Executive prior to a meeting with a new potential donor for Ukraine, to engaging existing partners in the potential expansion of work in the Middle East, you will play a key role in making HALO’s lifesaving work possible.

The HALO Trust is the world's largest humanitarian mine clearance organisation. Our mission is to protect lives and restore livelihoods of people affected by conflict. With an annual turnover of over £120m, we work in 30 countries and territories, from current conflict zones of Ukraine, the West Bank, Libya and Yemen, to post conflict countries such as Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia.
We clear the explosive remnants of war and address the causes of conflict and fragility - from inadequate control of weapons and ammunition to food insecurity and land degradation. In southern Angola our clearance work is part of a regional approach to develop conservation in support of Angola’s national plan to diversify their economy, protect their natural environment and create sustainable livelihoods. Angola has some of the world’s most important remaining wilderness, but the presence of landmines makes it almost impossible to apply the conservation measures needed to protect this vital resource. By clearing landmines, HALO can lay the foundations for life, agriculture and eco-tourism to thrive.
In Ukraine, HALO is the largest demining organisation, having operated in the Donbas since 2016. Russia’s invasion has resulted in mine laying and explosive contamination on a scale not seen in Europe since the Second World War, including across vast tracts of farmland. This prevents agricultural production, which is critical to Ukraine’s economy and global food security. Across seven regions, more than 1,000 local Ukrainian staff have already enabled the removal of more than 19,000 explosive items and the clearance of more 3.1 million m2 of land- bringing safety to communities and supporting Ukraine’s economic recovery.
True peace cannot come until land is safe. HALO’s work to clear the deadly debris of war is the first step towards recovery and reconstruction. And the return of hope.
About the role:
The HALO Trust has more than doubled in size over the last eight years by growing support from both Governments and philanthropic donors. Global income from philanthropic donors (including the US) has significantly increased over the past five years – from circa £4 million to £15 million in 2022/23 and reaching a further peak of £44 million in 2023/24 in response to exceptional donor support for Ukraine. Unpinning this is growth in six and seven figure partnerships with major donors, corporates and foundations, initiated by our exceptionally well-connected network of trustees and ambassadors - and nurtured by our committed and professional global philanthropy team.
The team has a global remit and this, together with HALO’s extensive geographic footprint, creates significant opportunities for growth in our portfolio of partnerships.
By nurturing and growing high value partnerships this role plays a key role in supporting the delivery of HALO’s life-saving work around the world.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead growth within a portfolio of high value (six and potentially seven figure) relationships by providing excellence in supporter stewardship and through the development and delivery of relationship strategies, in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy and Head of Global Grant Partnerships
- Support senior HALO staff, advocates and trustees to engage and inspire individuals linked to agreed relationships
- Work with international programme teams to ensure the development of high-quality proposals and reports to tight deadlines
- Contribute to departmental strategic priorities including supporting the stewardship of other major relationships, follow up of new opportunities, and the development of philanthropic products for wider use. Deputise for the Head of Global Grant Partnerships where required
- Manage donor records and correspondence in Salesforce
- Work closely with Philanthropy and Partnerships (Gov funding) colleagues in the USA, UK, Europe, Middle East and overseas programs as part of a distributed team to provide support to global fundraising efforts
Essential Requirements:
- Three years' experience of personally leading successful relationships with high value philanthropic donors (Trust and Foundations, corporates or high net worth individuals or equivalent), including those giving at the six or seven figure level
- Experience of building effective relationships with advocates linked to philanthropic donors
- An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with staff and colleagues in different cultural environments
- Outstanding written skills with the ability to work with programme and finance colleagues to design robust project proposals, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation
- Confident in working with financial information including project budgets
- Excellent written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including ability to demonstrate tact, sophistication and gravitas
- Experience of working with a fundraising database to maximise relationship development
- A commitment to HALO’s mission and objectives
- Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to articulate HALO’s various programmes and strategies in a compelling way
- Tenacious, self-starting, and able to thrive in a fluid, entrepreneurial context
- Collaborative, team player, with a low-ego and a positive and upbeat approach.
Desirable:
- Experience of high value fundraising in the following areas is desirable: humanitarian and international development, mine action, conflict, the environment / conservation
- Experience of pipeline and relationship development in international markets for example Europe/US and/or the Middle East.

At Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we’re looking for a new Supporter Engagement Assistant. This job primarily involves being the first point of contact for supporters and working as part of the Supporter Engagement Team to build excellent relationships across the area we serve. But it also requires a lot of passion - for our cause, for the people we help and most importantly for the people who help us save lives.
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate for our supporters and everyone involved in the charity; a person who is dedicated to doing their best; a person who can work independently but can collaborate within and beyond their team; and someone who is curious about exploring new approaches and keen to learn and develop.
Whilst having some experience of working with a charity would be beneficial, it is not essential. We are looking for someone who would like to build a career in the charity sector and become a long-term member of our team.
