This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Refuge Worker. You will provide high quality support and safety planning to women and children in crisis. This includes enabling women to access housing, welfare, benefits, and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that women are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles. 

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota including evening and weekends once week in every 8 weeks.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Helath Advocate Educator (HAE). The post holder will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about domestic violence and abuse (DVA), provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for female and male victims of domestic violence and abuse aged 16 years and over.

The post holder will work in partnership with a local clinical lead to deliver the model and will participate and support the delivery of safeguarding training and awareness raising sessions to primary and secondary care staff and other multi-agency teams where needed.

Hours: 18.75 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with a Requirement for occasional 12:30-20:30 duty shift

Hours: This role is part time role, available for up to 3 days a week, (21 hours a week) with the expectation of flexibility in emergencies.

Remuneration: GBP £41,000 FTE gross annual (pro-rated based on a full-time equivalent salary, and dependent on experience)

As we expand significantly, we seek a passionate and skilled Senior Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser to join our growing Fundraising and Communications team.

You will play a pivotal role in UK-Med's ambitious growth strategy, building our private income through developing a new strategic corporate partnership plan, working to identify and reach out to national and regional corporate partners as a new income stream.

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you will take the lead on researching, prospecting, cultivating and stewarding corporate supporters to not only vital secure financial support for UK-Med's work but also create collaborative, strong, mutually beneficial relationships.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, the largest Chamber in the UK, with over 5000 members. As tenants of the Chamber, UK-Med's Head Office is situated with the Chamber of Commerce and, as an approved partner, the Chamber are hugely supportive of UK-Med's vision to grow income and awareness amongst Chamber members. We are recruiting for a Children’s Support Worker who will be working closely with children and their mothers who are living in our refuges escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, to provide personal welfare support and ensure that our clients are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

A key requirement is to provide personal one to one and group support to children and young people to ensure they are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. The post holder will support children who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence and plan and provide stimulating, safe, and appropriate activities.

Salary:

- Starting at £46,796 FTE per annum, raising to £54,186.

- If office based, additionally, £3,679 Inner London Weighting FTE per annum

- If home based, additionally, £480 home-based allowance FTE per annum

Location: Either homebased or based at our Head Office, London, N1 7GR.

If office based, we typically work 2 days a week in the office. Our office space is wheelchair accessible.

Main Responsibilities:

• Leading the team in planning and delivering new business activity, drawing on business need, our organisation strategy, sector trends, meeting agreed annual income targets. 
• Ensuring account management of all corporate partnerships is delivered with skill and diligence. Leading the team in maximising the impact of partnerships through outstanding relationship management.
• Embedding corporate partnerships in the strategic development of the organization, promoting and advocating for current and prospective partners in strategic discussions at Family Action. Integrating and aligning corporate partnerships activity with wider organisational priorities.
• Proactive and supportive line management of the corporate partnerships team, which currently comprises 3 x Corporate Partnerships Managers, 1 x Fundraising Officer and the Toy Appeal Temporary Assistant (Christmas)

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):

1. A proven fundraising leader with an in-depth understanding of and experience of working on a wide variety of corporate partnerships
2. Demonstrable experience of successful new business work, securing 6 and/or 7 figure opportunities.
3. Extensive account management experience, ideally across a range of sectors
4. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak confidently both formally and informally to a range of audiences as well as strong writing skills.
5. A commitment to social justice and a passion for helping families to thrive.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Building Advisor. You will be responsible for ensuring that Refuge complies with statutory building and property obligations and monitor changes in industry standards and regulators requirements. The post holder will also monitor obligations in property agreements and support corporate services and provide technical advice which may require research. The post holder will collect property data to demonstrate compliance and for reporting purposes as well as update Refuge’s property polices accordingly and train people.
