Director of Fundraising
Podium Analytics
London, UK
Full-Time and permanent role
Salary: c. £100,000 pa with flexibility for exceptional circumstances
Podium Analytics is a charity that was established in 2019 to create a world with more sport, less injury.
We were founded with the belief that, to see the full benefit of sports participation, more needs to be done to address the issue of youth and grassroots sport injury, which is an under-researched, under-resourced and often overlooked issue. Harnessing the power of data and research, and through education, influence and advocacy, we are creating a revolution in grassroots and youth sport, making players safer and more able to enjoy the sports they love for longer.
Our work so far has been underpinned by the generosity of our Founder and key major donors and private trusts, who believe in our unique position in the sporting world and ability to drive change. In order for us to achieve our mission and the long term impact that we are striving for, we need to build out and diversify our income base. This has led us to investing in this new Director of Fundraising role, and we are seeking an experienced leader to join us and help shape the next stage of our evolution.
You will be responsible for developing growth strategies, funding opportunities and donor relationships across a diverse portfolio of income streams. You will therefore need to bring experience of securing gifts and grants, ideally at the 6-figure level or more. To complement our existing activity, high-value Trusts & Foundations and corporate partnership experience would be a bonus.
A commitment to our cause will drive you, as you establish close working relationships with our CEO, Chairman, Trustees and senior management team, to enable the successful delivery of fundraising initiatives and drive opportunities forward. As a strategic operator with an entrepreneurial approach to your work, your track record of actively engaging with existing and potential supporters, and in developing and implementing comprehensive income generation strategies will underpin your ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the charity. As we are a small charity, this will begin as a very hands-on role and over time, you will have the opportunity to build your own team. You will therefore need to be comfortable with rolling up your sleeves, working in the detail without losing sight of the big picture, and navigating new or ambiguous areas with a positive and solutions-orientated mindset.
In return, you will have the support of a highly professional senior management team and an exceptional Board who are all committed to ensuring success in our fundraising endeavours. We are serious about our work, and also know how to have fun and celebrate success.
If this is the sort of environment you are looking for in your next career step and you thrive on working with passionate colleagues and supporters towards shared goals, we would like to hear from you. Please contact our recruitment partners at Richmond Associates on +44 (0)20 3617 9240 or visit their website to download further details on the role.

There are 1.5 million children and young people with a disability (CYPD) in the UK. Over 3/4 cannot access regular leisure facilities which massively impacts their health and well-being. Furthermore, the impact of living with a disability can have a significant impact on the wider family, with over 72% of parents reporting mental health challenges and over two thirds saying they feel isolated some or all of the time.
Gympanzees’ mission is simple. We want all children and young people living with any disability to have access to high-quality, fully inclusive leisure facilities so that they can enjoy fun, fitness, and friendships and support their families out of isolation.
Sounds simple, but it’s a huge task. There is nowhere in the UK like this. Anywhere. At all. But we’re changing that, and we want you to join us!
Since 2018 we’ve been hosting Pop Up’s during easter and summer months, across Bristol, in various special schools which has seen us welcome over 23,500 visitors. Each one has helped hone and improve our delivery model, and longer-term plans. These Pop Ups have seen some incredible firsts, including:
-
A 6-year-old taking their first steps
-
A 12-year-old sleeping through the night for the first time
-
A 3-year-old having his first laugh
-
An 18-year-old standing independently for the first time
Families have travelled from all over the country to enjoy the Pop Ups, some covering 6-hour journeys just for their afternoon of fun!
During COVID we quickly adapted our offer to include a Lending Library which continues to this day, offering nearly 300 items of specialist equipment, free of charge.
In 2023 we purchased a new site to develop into a permanent home which will open in summer 2026. Redevelopment is underway, and so too is an £8 million campaign to support this extraordinary project.

ABOUT US
Action Village India (AVI) is a small UK based organisation that since 1989, has been supporting Indian partner organisations who work alongside villagers in some of the most remote parts of rural India so they can improve their lives, livelihoods and resilience. We work towards an India which is just, fair and inclusive, where all people regardless of sex, gender identity, ethnicity, caste, religion can benefit from the country’s economic development and lift themselves out of poverty.
At the heart of our work, are our partnerships; many of which have spanned decades. Our partner organisations are led by Indians and whether these are large or small organisations, or social movements, all work directly at the grassroots level across rural India – from Bihar and Jharkhand in the North, in Odisha and down to Tamil Nadu in the South. The communities they work with, are some of the poorest in India. They are experts in their fields and work hand in hand with local people to design and inform projects to best serve their local communities and secure rights and social justice for women, men and children.
We accompany our partners for the long term, solidarity with our partners and their communities is at the core of how we work. This means we have developed relationships over the years, based on mutual respect, reciprocity and transparency. We are not governed by donor funding cycles and agendas but are led by our partners and the needs they identify and are committed to shared learning and collaboration. We keep our UK costs to a minimum with core staff and rely on an active and engaged set of Trustees, volunteers and supporters. Both staff and Trustees of Action Village India have relationships with staff from our partner organisations, created through ongoing dialogue, partner and community visits and participation in learning forums.
