With your social work experience with children and families, you will manage all aspects of work with our valued applicants from the early stages of recruitment, information sharing meetings, assessment, preparation and training, through to successful placement and post placement support up to the making of the adoption order.
Ideally, you will have previous experience of completing Prospective Adopter’s Reports, or similar reports such as Form Fs, and/or experience in family finding activity for children requiring permanence.

Inside Job, is an Employment Consultancy with a difference. It was co-created by a serving prisoner, who is very much part of Our Team, and the Charity, Beating Time. Recognising the huge barriers people who have served a sentence face to re-entering the workplace, we realised a specialized service was needed. A service which collapses the space between Employers, who want to use their recruitment policies to achieve social impact, and people who are in prison. A service which understands those challenges and works collaboratively to remove them. Employment reduces reoffending by 50% - this is a job worth doing.
Inside Job is unique in 2 ways:
1. We recruit and train serving prisoners as Recruitment Consultants who provide us with our candidate pipeline and work closely alongside us.
2. We take employers into prison to interview Candidates. Job offers are made there and then.

About the role
This role will support and work alongside our London Programme Lead and the Senior Management team. You will also work alongside our prison peer-led team in HMP/YOI Isis and any other London Prisons we take on.
Support our Peer-led Recruiters in custody to identify and support Inside Job candidates. Assist with CV and Disclosure writing and help build a pipeline of candidates.
Work closely with the Prison Employment Lead and build a strong relationship with the relevant prison staff in the Activities and Resettlement Teams and at Governor level to support and facilitate Inside Job.
Support the London Programme Lead to engage employers and plan monthly interview surgeries.
Build relationships with the identified local and national employers and to promote Inside Job and Beating Time to them.
Support our Job Candidates to find work in the community on release from prison.
Support the Inside Job Team and the Senior Management Team in drawing up and developing a strategy to identify and target local and national employers in a range of fields who can offer jobs to people leaving prison.
Building relationships with local Probation offices and staff, DWP/Local Authority initiatives and Police & Crime Commissioner/Violence Reduction Unit and any other official and/or relevant third sector/voluntary organisations to promote Inside Job and Beating Time to them with the aim of creating more referrals and opportunities for Candidates, creating stronger support networks for Candidates and Inside Job and to help embed Inside Job and Beating Time as a key part of the community.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced responsive repairs professional who understands the multiple disciplines required to deliver this fast-paced area of the business, to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team working on all aspects of repairs and maintenance. It is an interesting and varied role for an engaging, solution-focused person, with a passion for providing these types of services across ISHA portfolio and help keep our residents homes well maintained, and someone who wants to add value within an organisation.
You will bring your knowledge and experience by providing advice and support to various stake holders, staff and residents by keeping ISHA service and maintenance records up to date and be able to demonstrate a robust repairs and maintenance service is being maintained. You should be a resilient, professionally curious person, who is enthusiastic about a career in the Social Housing.
You will work closely with the Head of Assets and Repairs in a generalist capacity, to support with continuous improvement across all service areas, while helping to support and achieve our organisational objectives.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Coaching and advising Building Surveyors, Disrepair Coordinator and currently four repairs’ advisors.
- Ensuring that robust monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems are in place.
- Contributing to the budget plan and compiling budget/KPI reports monthly, managing budgets for responsive repairs ensuring effective use of funds.
- You will be responsible for the delivery of our repairs and maintenance service to our residents’ homes ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved and KPIs are being met by our supply chain.
- To contract manage the repairs and maintenance contractors and all other contracts associated with the delivery of these services delivering excellent customer service and value for money.
- Ensuring that robust monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems are in place and data is kept updated.
- Establish communication links for communal repairs keeping residents informed of outages and reinstatement of service ie lifts.

This is busy and varied role, so we’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who can adapt to a fast-paced working environment while ensuring consistency, alongside considering and minimising risks, who will play an integral role in delivering our repair & maintenance services.
Working closely with our key internal and external stakeholders, you will continue to lead the way in the development of our repairs and maintenance services and you would have worked ideally in Housing before.
You need to be flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic, and have excellent communication and influencing skills. A great sense of humour will serve you in good stead working in our busy, fast paced office.

Role Purpose
The role holder will be part of the Operations & Transformation Directorate reporting to the Head of PMO / Change and Delivery Lead.
The incumbent will have a pivotal role in the management of change, implementation and continuous improvement projects, mostly in the digital and IDS sphere. - Project/Programme qualification e.g. APM, PRINCE2, MSP; experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies

About this exciting opportunity
Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison. You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.
We will also count on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, including probation, prisons, partners, and others who will assist in achieving prescribed outcomes for service users, ensuring you work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales. Using agreed CRM databases and recording all activity relating to caseload and providing updates and reports are also key duties.
What we are looking for
- Experience working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
- L3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
- The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching
- An ability to work sensitively with clients applying trauma-informed strategies
- Impressive IT, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Housing Advice Worker to join our Homelessness service in Kent.

Working within our Kent Domestic Abuse services, Tenancy Support Workers will provide resettlement support to customers who are moving on from refuge and domestic abuse tenancy support to community clients who have accessed the Sanctuary Scheme in West Kent.
Look Ahead operates trauma and psychologically informed approaches, ensuring that our customers benefit from being supported through strengths-based practices. Tenancy Support Workers share responsibility by ensuring that a holistic and cohesive model of customer support is embedded across Kent.
All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK by the start of employment as Look Ahead are not able to offer sponsorship.
What you'll do:
* Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers who are currently in refuge to make the transition to permanent accommodation smoother.
* Supporting community customers who have accessed the Sanctuary Scheme to remain in their properties and manage the risks associated with that.
* Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a move on Support Plan
* Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking.'
* Ensuring customers have full access to any move on welfare support by completing move on paperwork prior to customers move on date.
* Liaising and building partnerships with local charities to support customers with move on items
* Accompany customers to property viewings.
* Helping to set up utilities for move on customers
* Working proactively with the refuge and IDVA teams and referring any clients/customers to the IDVAs where required.
* Completing Marac referrals for high risk community client.
* Empowering customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits to which they are entitled
* Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the communityMission & Values 'Working with people to make choices, achieve goals and take control of their live through high quality care, support and housing'
* Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service
* Develop links with private sector landlords, estate agents and other housing providers in order to source additional units and move on accommodation
