Horn Lane Ofsted registered, young people's service supports young care leavers aged between 16 and 21.Support Workers will provide a person-centred support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

This support worker role is on a 4 week rolling rota which includes a combination of early (8.00 - 16.00) and late (14.00 - 22.00) shifts including weekends. No sleep in's required.

What you'll do:

Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers

Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities

Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan

Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals

Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'

Proactively manage risk and safety both in and outside of their physical living environment

Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation

Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the community

Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service

Empowering customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to

Encouraging and enabling tenants to pay their rent and ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively.

Specialist Behaviour Support Workers are responsible for the customer's emotional, psychological wellbeing as well as providing support to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs. At Wood Lane End, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Behaviour Analysis:
- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour
- You are responsible in planning appropriate intervention to modify and resolve the behaviour
- You require superb interpersonal and relationship skills and must have the capacity to handle psychologically behavioural changes
- You understand and collaborate with the different support organizations accessible in the community
- You exhibit a concrete basis in behavioural analysis
- You will have ability and skill to present and feedback to other professionals in a formal setting
- Reports possible cases of abuse, neglect or endangerment appropriately
- Actively participates in the reviewing and the designing behavioural interventions plans.

About the role 

As Campaigns Manager for Communities, you will ensure that our campaigners around the UK have a meaningful experience with Save the Children UK, building localised campaigns and networks for realising children's rights. You will be a strong leader and manage a small team of campaigners working across our key strategic focus areas.

• Lead Save the Children UK's campaign strategy to engage and build our communities and organising work.

• Work closely with mission colleagues to ensure that their work represents campaigning and organising best practice and innovation, and with Fundraising & Marketing colleagues to deliver our Supporter Engagement strategy.

• Responsible for providing coherent and meaningful experience for our supporters across the missions and other areas of SCUK's work.
• Lead a community of practice in the team that keeps abreast of best practice and external trends and innovates to maximise impact for children.

• Experience of leading development and delivery of impactful campaign strategies, with knowledge and understanding of a range of campaigning and organising tactics, and a track record of success.

• In-depth knowledge of and experience of working with a wide range of campaigning and organising techniques and tactics and across diverse digital campaigning platforms.

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shop Supervisor to make a difference and deliver positive social impact in the local community while also raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness. 

As a Shop Supervisor, you will support the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will play a key role in delivering customer service and supporting volunteers, as well maintaining the look and feel of the shop and processing stock. You will work towards ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness.

This is a unique retail opportunity where you will also be involved in delivering on the job training for Crisis members, supporting them to gain the skills and confidence needed in the workplace. You will work collaboratively with your team and will have opportunities to build your own skills and career progression through training and development.

To be successful in this role you will have significant retail or customer service experience alongside a genuine interest in charity retail. Solace’s Immigration service provides high quality immigration advice to survivors of domestic abuse who have insecure immigration status. The Immigration Service is a pan London provision working with women with insecure immigration status who have been affected by VAWG including sexually exploited and trafficked women.

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced OISC level 2/3 immigration advisor/solicitor to join our pan-London Immigration service in Camden. 

As part of a team of legally trained advisors, you will be responsible for assisting women affected by domestic or sexual abuse with uncertain immigration status. Your role involves managing complex cases and collaborating closely with the team to provide comprehensive support to women as they rebuild their lives.

About You

You will have substantive experience in providing immigration advice and conducting casework, with the relevant Level 2/3  OISC qualification or equivalent (qualified solicitor)

 Please note only candidates with the relevant OISC qualification (or equivalent) and legal experience will be considered.

We seek someone who is with strong caseworker skills, with a commitment to keep survivors at the centre of service delivery whilst also delivering on service targets. You will have a passion for ending violence against women and girls as well as a thorough understanding of immigration law and an understanding of the barrier’s women with insecure immigration status face in accessing legal advice and support.

About the Team

The Committed Giving Team is a high achieving team responsible for the acquisition and retention of regular donors. The team work closely together with the shared aim of delivering exceptional supporter experience and raising the reliable income the hospital needs to help provide extraordinary care for seriously ill children and their families.

About You

You will be a creative, self-motivated, and organised project manager with experience of working within a diverse, target-driven team. With a keen eye for detail and able to manage multiple projects at once, you will have a direct marketing background, ideally within the charity sector.

The ideal candidate will also have:

• Highly organised and able to work autonomously with little supervision
• Experience of regular giving programmes (ideally both cash direct debit and weekly lottery products)
• Experience in writing campaign briefs (creative, data)
• An analytical and inquisitive mind, with a keen eye for detail
• Exceptional project management skills and excellent time management

We are seeking a Senior Services and Volunteering Officer to join our small but growing organisation for a 12-month maternity cover. This is a rewarding role with the opportunity to make a real difference to those affected by a rare, progressive neurological condition.

The Multiple System Atrophy Trust (MSA Trust) is the UK’s leading support and information service for people with multiple system atrophy, their families and carers. We are a small national charity with a large reach, offering vital support to people affected by MSA, training health professionals and funding much needed research into the cause and a cure for what is a rare and devastating disease.

This is an interesting and varied role, providing front-line information and support to people affected by MSA. You will need excellent customer service and facilitation skills with experience of working directly with people seeking support. This role also holds responsibility for the Trusts small but dedicated volunteer team, ensuring they are effectively managed and volunteer policies are in place.

You will be a team worker with management experience along with strong project management and administration skills. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience of databases (we use Raisers Edge). You will need the ability to thrive in a busy environment, with experience and understanding of the role of a charity supporting people affected by a health condition desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will ideally need to start in October 2024.

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Purpose of the Public Affairs Officer role: 

As the Public Affairs Officer in the External Affairs team at Women’s Aid, you will play a pivotal role in our government and parliamentary engagement work. This will include leading on monitoring parliamentary activity and identifying opportunities for Women’s Aid to influence the political agenda and ensure parliamentarians are kept up to date on issues related to domestic abuse. Key duties and responsibilities of the Public Affairs Officer:

• Carry out regular political monitoring, keeping the team updated with important developments for Women’s Aid, identifying opportunities for influence and providing analysis on policy announcements.
• Draft newsletters, correspondence, and website and social media content for parliamentarians, Women’s Aid’s member services and campaigners on a range of campaign and policy priorities.

The Model of Care and Quality Improvement Officer role is all about making sure that the care and support models developed and implemented by the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) are effective, efficient and of high quality.
