We’re recruiting our first Senior Legacy and In Memory Executive, to join our high performing Fundraising team at Refuge. You’ll work collaboratively with the Legacy and In Memory Manager to develop and grow the legacy and in memory programme, helping shape our strategy to recruit, engage and steward legacy pledgers and in memory donors. Managing and delivering a range of campaigns across multiple communication channels including email, social and print, you’ll help develop and deliver engaging communications to maximise lifetime value. Using an agile, test and learn approach, you’ll work closely with other teams, including our Digital, CRM and Supporter Care teams.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, having delivered successful campaigns to recruit and retain legacy and in memory supporters. As well as delivering campaigns at scale you will also be comfortable with speaking to supporters on a one-to-one basis. You’ll be highly organised and be able to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will also be confident in reviewing and analysing campaign performance and making recommendations for future performance. What You’ll Do

• Deliver Campaigns: Execute marketing communications, customer journeys, and multi-channel campaigns to meet income and mission targets, on time, within budget, and to agreed KPIs. Upsell, retain, and deepen engagement with existing customers.
• Customer-Centric: Ensure customers feel central to our work and achievements, motivating them to continue supporting our research long-term.

About You:

You’ll have solid experience in direct or integrated marketing roles across several channels, with expertise in analysing data to drive decision-making and optimising performance and engagement (especially direct mail, telemarketing, and email). You will have demonstrable experience managing customer retention marketing or loyalty campaigns in a fast-paced direct marketing team.

To be successful, you will have:

• Experience leading campaign delivery across multiple channels, generating growth and engagement.
• Outstanding planning and project management skills, with a track record of managing projects/campaigns on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical skills, be highly numerate and have experience working with expenditure budgets, including monitoring and reporting on income and expenses.
• Ability to identify opportunities, drive impact, and exceed KPIs.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

Overall Purpose

To work and lead on setting clear standards for high quality gathering, recording, monitoring and use of data collected via our grant’s programmes and initiative, accessing this data to inform donor grant reports, infographic data sharing, donor reports and network reporting in an accurate and transparent way. Reporting to the Head of Impact you will be technically proficient in monitoring data use of the CRM systems. You will also work directly with the Senior Leadership team on initiatives requiring evidence of impact and return on investment. The Data Officer will work closely with colleagues across the Foundation contributing to the delivery of the Foundation’s Strategic Plan, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

To lead on the accurate recording, management, and accessibility of data gathered through the Foundations programmes and initiatives via our Salesforce CRM system and future platforms, including potential Social Value and Social Return on Investment models.

Support the grants team in recording and maintaining accurate data, ensuring records are complete, up-to-date, and compliant. Conduct routine system checks and regular data cleansing as required.

Support monitoring received from grantees, helping extract key data and learning, checked by Head of Impact.

Provide support to Head of Impact with Salesforce CRM training to internal teams to enhance data usage and impact measurement.

Performance Management

Collect, analyse, and present relevant data on a quarterly basis to support donor reporting.

Produce data driven reports aligned with the Donor Care Plan, ensuring accuracy in evaluation, impact measurement, and End of Grant reporting (quality checked by Head of Impact).

Develop and submit annual data reports for platforms such as 360 Giving, FREA (Funders for Race Equalities Alliance), IVAR and other partnership platforms aligned to BLCF work including UK Community Foundation Quality Assurance.

Provide insights and key learnings that demonstrate the effectiveness of grantmaking, inform strategic decisions, and highlight return on investment.
 

Relationship Management

Regularly connect and engage with wider Community Foundation network to ensure BLCF’s data systems remain fit for purpose and aligned with sector best practices.

Participate in cross-foundation learning initiatives to stay updated on trends in data-driven grantmaking and impact measurement.

Work with the Head of Business Development to provide insights from donor trends and grant impact data, supporting fundraising and partnership strategies.

Representing the Organisation

Maintain a strong understanding of community and charity sector issues to inform BLCF’s data strategy and grantmaking approach. Ensure relevant insights are shared across the team.

Develop and maintain an appropriate network of contacts within the grantmaking sector across BLCF’s geographic reach.

Serve as a BLCF ambassador, promoting the Foundations values and impact through data storytelling and sector engagement.

Be an ambassador for the work of the Foundation by demonstrating its values in the delivery of its work.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

• Some demonstrable experience in managing data systems and CRMs to ensure accurate data is recorded and record maintain for reporting purposes.
• Some understanding of the wider voluntary and charity sector.
• Excellent personnel skills and able to work effectively within a small team providing support across a width of areas.
• A self-starter, able to act on own initiative and to organise, plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.

About the role

The Media, PR & Digital Manager leads and supports the delivery of flexible, cost-effective and class-leading media, marketing, and digital communications. This role ensures MSSC achieves its objectives across campaigns, fundraising and policy through targeted and effective profile building in the media and across multiple online platforms.

The post holder will manage media communications activities, delivered in-house or outsourced as appropriate, to meet the needs of MSSC while maintaining the charity’s image, values and stakeholder engagement.

• Proactively explore national and regional opportunities for media coverage, establishing effective media links to raise the profile of the organisation.

Role Overview

About you

A Dementia Adviser role requires you to work passionately to provide advice, support and guidance to people affected by dementia, carers and their families.

- has strong organisational and time management skills to manage your caseload of clients effectively
- is proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
- can travel independently across Greater Manchester, with an expectancy to attend regular meetings across the area
- understands dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage
- is fluent in English and Urdu but as advantage in proficient in Punjabi, Hindi, Bengali or Gujarati or any other South Asian languages.
- Confidence in public speaking and ability to deliver presentations in different languages if necessary.
- Has some experience of volunteer management.
