We are looking for a Research Associate within our Service Delivery team. You will need qualitative and quantitative research experience with skills in questionnaire design, research methods, and data handling, analysis and reporting. You will need experience of developing and maintaining relationships with clients as well as demonstrable ability to write to a high standard for different audiences.
Salary: £31,016 - £35,446 per annum, plus benefits

You will work on the development and implementation of new and existing research in the Service Delivery Team. You will also disseminate results to various audiences, including clients, stakeholders, collaborators, and members of the public .
In this Role
In this role you will:
- Conduct day to day project management of research projects including quantitative survey development and implementation, qualitative research, mixed mode evaluation projects and secondary analysis of survey and other data.
- Complete administrative duties for qualitative research studies including preparing documentation such as information sheets, consent forms and other administration
- Be involved in qualitative research tasks including assisting with participant recruitment, scheduling and moderating focus groups and conducting in-depth interviews remotely and/or face to face.
- Produce written and numeric outputs, and present evidence and findings about complex and sometimes contentious subjects to a wide range of audiences
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, external stakeholders, partners and collaborators, to ensure the organisation understands its clients’ current and future needs and clients remain up to date with the products and services available.
- Assist in preparing proposals, tenders and quotations, coordinating input from colleagues as required, ensuring that all documents are accurate and produced to agreed standards and timescales.
About you
You will have:
- Demonstrable qualitative and quantitative research experience with skills in questionnaire design, research methods, and data handling, analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with and understanding of the core principles of quantitative and quantitative research (i.e. understanding of the key considerations when selecting and developing a methodological approach to a question)
- Knowledge and understanding of the variety of survey methodologies available to collect data
- Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues, external stakeholders, collaborators or partners
- Ability to analyse highly complex numerical and written data, assess options, draw appropriate conclusions and make recommendations
- Excellent writing skills and a demonstrable ability to write to a high standard for a range of different audiences and to edit the work of others, including identifying novel/ innovative ways to present research or survey evidence to different audiences
- Meticulous attention to detail

I use my experience as a Manager/Team Leader to support and develop the team I manage. I work as part of a team including the Head of MHMA and the Service Manager, ensuring quality is paramount and supporting the team in doing so. I directly manage a team of advisers, undertaking monthly reviews, appraisals and dealing with annual leave and other matters. I cover some of the service managers duties during annual leave and other absence.

- Gross Annual Salary: £45,000 full-time pro rata (post offered at 0.6 FTE i.e. £27,000 with the potential to rise to 1 FTE). In addition, IEEP UK matches pension contributions up to 6% of gross salary.

Overall role and responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role will include:
1. Financial Management
- Be responsible for and run the organisation’s bookkeeping and financial management processes including invoices, expenses and bank payments.
- Produce and manage the organisational cash flow, project cash flows and management accounts.
- Be responsible for and run payroll monthly.
- Compile and submit VAT returns quarterly.
- Support the Executive Director with managing the charity and project budgets and financial reporting to the board and funders.

2. Administration
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of the charity to promote smooth business operations, including the efficiency of organisational systems.

- Support Executive Director and trustees in ensuring Charity Commission and Companies House information is up to date.

3. HR
- Manage recruitment and induction of new staff and volunteers.
- Create, implement and review all policies and procedures for the organisation, ensuring we are up to date with statutory requirements, and good practice is incorporated where practical.
- Manage HR procedures including contracts and leave for staff.
The role will also include:
- Support in organising events online and in person.
- Assisting in responses to general enquiries to the organisation.
- Potential line management of junior staff and interns as appropriate.
- Contribute actively to the implementation of Institute-wide decisions and strategy.

Personal Specification
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate many of the following skills and attributes:
Essential:
- A relevant professional accountancy qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with some experience of working independently or with minimal supervision, preferably in the charity sector.
- At least 3 years’ relevant professional experience in a similar administrative, financial or management role.
- Experience of using accounting software and managing the financial administration of an organisation including paying and issuing invoices, reconciling bank accounts, and running payroll.
- Experience and confidence in producing and managing an organisational cashflow, budgets and management accounts.
- Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Experience of creating and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills
- As part of a small team you will also need the ability to turn your hand to a variety of tasks.

Desirable:
- Background, interest and experience in environmental policy, and the UK’s relationship with the EU and the rest of Europe.

How Will You Make a Difference?
The Head of Operations collaborates closely with the CEO and SLT to oversee and manage Amna's operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of programmes to reach the communities we serve. Responsible for the efficient management of risk managemet, safety and security, administration and logistics, people and culture, finance, safeguarding, ITC, the role holder plays a key role in maintaining compliance with Amna's guidelines, donors’ rules and regulations, and local laws across programmes and operations. The Head of Operations reports to the CEO and is responsible for managing a dedicated team of three, a Finance Manager, People and Culture Manager and an Operations Officer.
Key responsibilities:
Comprehensive Risk and Safety Management:
- Conduct risk assessments taking into account the diverse geographical locations of team members, organizational partners, and the nature of projects.
- Assess risks related to grant funding, considering factors such as grant application processes, funding disbursement, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Expert qualification (Qualified accountant) or in at least one relevant area demonstrating advanced proficiency and specialized knowledge.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in managerial roles within international/NGO organizations, with a focus on HR, administration, IT, financial management, risk management and legal affairs.
- Understanding of UK Charity Commission regulations.
- Experience with cloud services and knowledge of IT policies and procedures.
- Deep understanding of DEI principles and proven experience in championing DEI initiatives within organizations.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, budgeting, and grant management within the NGO sector.
- Expertise in conducting risk assessments, developing risk management plans, and ensuring compliance with international and local regulations.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of excellent fundraising results and fundraising compliance standards and specifically the delivery of performance improvements in our F2F fundraisers through coaching, training, and continuous development. Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for coaching the performance of multiple teams in the region that will consist of lone workers, pairs of fundraisers to bigger teams as the income plan increases.

Veterans Outreach Support (VOS) is an award-winning charity that offers welfare, wellbeing and mental health support and services to veterans of the UK Armed Forces and Merchant Navy in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight. They provide a Drop-In model of support, a welfare advice service, a range of peer-supported wellbeing activities and social groups, and access to psychology, psychiatry, and therapy services.
VOS has secured additional funding from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to continue the work of the Thrive Together programme (formerly VPPP) in the South East, which is designed to bring together a network of veterans’ support agencies that will take an informed approach across the South East region to ensure that there are connected pathways, which work well for veterans; that there are safe places for veterans to go, which connect into these pathways; and that volunteers and staff who support veterans have access to training and work closely with other organisations within veterans’ mental health pathways.
The Network and Partnership Development Manager will work with the Thrive Together Portfolio Manager and manage the Thrive Together regional ‘cluster’ Partners in defined geographical regions to identify and build a meaningful network of organisations delivering support to veterans, their families and carers. As Head of Risk & Assurance you'll provide vital assurance to our Executive Leadership Team and Board of Trustees over our control frameworks and ensure that Mary’s Meals is fully equipped to identify and manage risk across our operations.
Reporting to the Director of Governance & Risk, you will drive robust internal audit, risk management, and insurance frameworks across MMI and our global programme countries, with development opportunities to expand our services across the MM network. A skilled influencer and people leader, you will support key stakeholders to identify, consider and manage risk through simple mechanisms and provide dynamic reporting to inform and influence decision-making.
You will:
· Oversee the delivery of a robust, risk-based internal audit service that appropriately targets our audit resource towards the operational areas of greatest risk and/or benefit.
· Develop our annual internal audit strategy, with consideration of organisational knowledge, known risks and key stakeholder input.
· Oversee the delivery of comprehensive internal audits and creation of high-quality reporting for local stakeholders, ELT and FRAC.
· Evolve the risk management framework for Mary’s Meals, helping to embed a culture of sound risk management that is fit for purpose, joined-up and appropriate for the Mary’s Meals governance model.
· Design and implement simple and effective mechanisms for risk management to support the timely identification, consideration and management of risk.
· Develop and oversee our framework for insurance across MMI and our Programme Affiliates to ensure adequate coverage is obtained and effective supporting processes are in place and documented.
· Lead, develop, coach and inspire high-performing teams, promoting a culture of engagement and empowerment including identifying and implementing opportunities for delegation and development.
Required skills and experience
· Robust experience from a senior internal audit role.
· A professional accountancy, internal audit or risk management qualification is essential.
· Track record of leading internal audit work and developing audit plans and strategies.
· Proven leader and influencer, you will bring relevant experience of implementing policies, projects and change.
· Cultural sensitivity, great communication skills and experience of developing productive relationships and teams in a global organisation.

About the role
We are looking for an exceptional individual who will lead a team of Senior Safeguarding Case Officers and Safeguarding Case Officers to deliver a case management and consultation function across the Society, ensuring that people at risk are supported to remain safe and have timely access to appropriate support and intervention, in line with legislative requirements and good safeguarding practice.
You will have substantial experience in case management and management of safeguarding risks, and will be able to confidently apply your knowledge, skills and experience to the work of a large organisation committed to supporting people with dementia and their families.
You will:
- Be responsible for ensuring that all allegations, concerns and incidents are correctly investigated, learning taken and shared, and supporting administration is accurate and records are maintained in a timely way.
- Be responsible for defining and implementing adequate safeguarding thresholds for risk assessment of safeguarding concerns and allegations managed by the team, including best case management practice standards.
- Be responsible for the delivery of a triage function ensuring that adequate risk levels are consistently implemented in the team’s case work.
- Be responsible for addressing escalated safeguarding concerns, allegations and incidents, working closely with local Safeguarding Partnerships across England, Wales and Northern Ireland nations. Identify issues and either investigate themselves or delegate where appropriate, taking personal responsibility for complex investigations.
- Hold a safeguarding caseload and participate in triage, as required, including participate in an out of hours duty rota as required.

The role of a Community Fundraiser is incredibly diverse. You will assist people raising money through third-party events, support local participation in national campaigns like The Great Daffodil Appeal, recruit and guide fundraising groups and volunteers, engage small businesses and corporate partners, and encourage individuals to take on their own fundraising challenges.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and grow fundraising groups with guidance from the Region's Fundraising Volunteer Development Manager.
- Form new community fundraising groups by hosting events and meetings with potential volunteers.
- Execute an annual volunteer recruitment plan, including volunteer induction, training, and management.
- Building Fundraising Relationships
- Provide excellent stewardship to supporters, expanding the network of individuals, groups, and corporate supporters.
- Follow up on leads from the Hot Prospect Action List and represent Marie Curie confidently in various settings.
- Support high-value event participants to achieve targets and deliver excellent service to the public, encouraging support.
- Collaborate with local businesses, Marie Curie Retail staff, and other fundraising teams to support initiatives.
- Meet annual budgets and performance targets, providing timely updates and monthly reports to the Head of Region.
