Role Overview: 

Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, the Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing outdoor, parks and corporate events. From supporting enquiries to increase sales conversions to helping customers plan and manage their events safely and successfully. 

The Events Team are a busy, creative, tight knit group of vibrant professionals who are looking for someone to join the team who pride themselves in 5 start customer service and going the extra mile for their clients. In the Events Team we celebrate creative problem solving, autonomy and integrity in our approach to work. 

We are looking for someone who has previous experience with managing event applications and processing health and safety paperwork in parks, outdoor venues, or local authorities. Someone equally comfortable with advising professional event companies as well as supporting first-time community organisers and someone who can balance our commitment to not overwhelming our public spaces but also with a keen understanding of achieving revenue targets.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:  

Venue Management:

• Providing clients with venue availability, quotes, and conducting site visits
• Briefing clients on T&Cs for hire and licenses and supporting clients making event applications
• Ensuring all event application paperwork per event is complete and compliant with the requirements of the Event Policy
• Overseeing health & safety procedures; liaising with security personnel and conduct thorough site inspections before, during, and after events
• Working with internal & external contractors to secure the necessary services for each event and ensure clients are billed accurately
• Collaborating on developing new event opportunities to maximize revenue for the park(s)
• Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure all park events and activities are well coordinated
• Maintaining clear communication with clients to address their needs and work with the site team to fulfill their requests
• Supporting and attending events / productions as required

Admin and Finance:

• Managing event bookings and venue schedules to maximise revenue
• Raising invoices and purchase orders for clients, tracking corporate bookings income and expenses, ensuring smooth cash flow, and keeping budget up to date
• Ensuring all supplier’s paperwork is checked and uploaded to the system
• Raising contracts and agreements, ensuring all aspects of the event are clearly outlined and protected
• Updating the booking system with all confirmed event details, ensuring all details are documented and ensuring efficient scheduling and avoiding conflicts
• Preparing and submitting TEN applications to relevant authorities for events requiring permits in public spaces or with specific restrictions
• Supporting the Head of Events and Senior Events Manager with various projects, taking ownership and initiative
   

Skills and Experience:  

• Minimum of 2 years experience planning and managing events, ensuring a positive client experience
• Management of multiple clients simultaneously, providing confident and patient guidance to clients
• Proficient in a range of office software; Outlook, Excel, Xero
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients, staff and senior management
• You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently against deadlines
• Proactive approach and pride yourself on going the extra mile to create best customer experience possible
• You can work autonomously while readily collaborating with the wider events team
• Key player in event success with a flexible schedule that adapts to needs; including weekends, early mornings & late nights

We are seeking a Fundraising Officer to join the Foundation during an exciting period of growth. About the Role

This role is an opportunity to develop your fundraising skills and gain experience across a broad range of incomes streams while also providing essential administrative support across our small charity. You will support the Director and Fundraising Manager with fundraising from grant makers, individual donors and corporate partnerships. You will already have strong digital skills and will take the lead on developing our digital fundraising through expanding the effectiveness and reach of our social media. You will oversee the administration of our Peak Partners scheme for businesses and lead on signing up new bronze and silver level partners. Are you a part-qualified Accountant or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification? We're looking for someone with a firm understanding of accountancy processes and procedures to join the team as Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month FTC basis.

The Philanthropy Officer will be a vital member of the high performing Philanthropy team, responsible for both hands-on fundraising as well as providing prospect research and administrative support. This fantastic role offers the opportunity to gain wide-ranging experience across high-value fundraising, learning from skilled and successful colleagues in a sector at the cutting edge of philanthropic activity and helping to raise an ambitious £2.5m in 2024/2025.

You will be responsible for proactively identifying and researching new supporters, coordinating introductory letters to newly established trust and foundations, processing income, thanking donors, ensuring accurate and compliant data keeping, and providing administrative support.

There will be plenty of learning and development opportunities, from contributing towards our high value events, working with colleagues on 6 figure opportunities and drafting and reviewing our communications.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

1. Coordinate the monthly small trusts mailing programme, refreshing mailing lists and ensuring communications are tailored and compelling.

2. Manage a small caseload of higher value supporters and prospects, ranging across trusts, foundations and individuals, and raise income by initiating and developing meaningful and enduring relationships to support Mind's charitable delivery.

3. With a range of tools, help build a strong and up to date pipeline of appropriate funders for the wider team by identifying and qualifying new prospects.

4. Manage the thanking process for unsolicited gifts and donations, ensuring personalised, timely and sensitive communication with funders.

5. Work closely with Income and Operations, Finance and CRM and Data teams to ensure all donations are processed in a timely and accurate way, have correct income codes, resolve income queries, transfers and discrepancies and ensure that the team receives timely reports in the appropriate format.

6. Input into annual and quarterly phasing of income: setting ambitious financial ask targets for donors and prospects in your caseload, carefully monitoring and reporting on progress of income, assessing risk to the budget to inform current and future financial years, and working to mitigate any loss of income.

7. Where required, help with ad-hoc prospect research and due diligence requests, completing and refreshing research profiles, using external resources and databases.

8. Provide support on stewardship event activities including coordination of guest lists, writing guest profiles, recording invites and activity on the database.

9. Support and coordinate team communications, including writing and reviewing copy for impact reports, newsletters, thank you letters and annual review mailings.

10. Ensure Mind's database has accurate and up to date records which adhere to Data Protection requirements and produce reports as required to help senior officers and managers analyse pipeline movement and income projection.

11. Undertake the accurate recording and maintenance of donor records on the database (Microsoft Dynamics), and other systems, adhering to business rules and protocols, Data Protection and Fundraising Regulations.

12. Stay informed of Philanthropy trends across the sector, actively participating in fundraising networking groups and bringing ideas to inform Mind's philanthropy activity.

13. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal contacts across departments such as External Relations, Mind Cymru and local Minds as appropriate.

14. Undertake any additional duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post.

As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a vital role in securing funding from companies and businesses to help drive forward our work. We are looking for two Community Energy Engagement Advisers to join our Retail and Cadent teams to deliver energy support sessions in local communities using the Scope retail stores in the North or South regions. 

Fixed term or secondment 2 years, 35 hours a week

The other will be situated in the South Region covering Norwich, East Anglia and North London. As Community Energy Engagement Adviser, you will be empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. You will train retail staff and volunteers to engage with individuals and families, with a particular emphasis on energy advice and support.

Job Title: West Yorkshire Full-time Maths Tutor

Responsible for: Delivery of academic intervention in Maths to pupils in educational environments for Tutor Trust

Salary: £24,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position (40 hours across seven days a week)

Job Purpose: Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· To plan and deliver tuition to primary/secondary school aged pupils (from 9-16 years old) across West Yorkshire in Maths on a 1:1 to 1:4 ratio.

· To complete appropriate paperwork relating to tuition with pupil (register, feedback sheets, etc.)

· To liaise with the West Yorkshire Programmes team and the quality team.

· To undergo any appropriate training throughout the role to enhance the quality and impact of tutoring delivery.

· To support other tutors as appropriate.

· To be involved in Tutor Trust tutorials and training where required.

          To follow all Tutor Trust/school safeguarding policies and procedures.

Person Specification – skills and attributes

· One year of tutoring experience required or QTS.

The New Corporate Partnerships team has been at the forefront of securing some fantastic partnerships for Mind such as, Allianz, Bupa, Co-op, Direct Line, Dunelm, ITV, McLaren Racing, and McVitie's, to name a few. Our partnerships cover the spectrum of partnership types; strategic and Charity of the Year partnerships (COTYs) and brand and commercial partnerships. -Help develop and implement the Corporate Partnerships team's new partnerships strategy, working closely with the Head of New Corporate Partnerships and other team members.

-In year one, be accountable for delivering an individual income target for 24/25 and beyond, and supporting the overall New Partnerships Teams' multi-year income targets and ROI, working with the Head of New Corporate Partnerships and reviewing progress on a monthly and quarterly basis.

-Lead a dedicated sub-team within the New Partnerships team, helping to develop their pipeline and promoting innovative, proactive approaches to partnership development

-In collaboration with the Head of New Partnerships, lead new strategic and transformational partnerships development with the aim of increasing the sustainability, value and breadth of partnerships secured at Mind.

-Project Manage high level proposals, liaising with multiple internals teams, creating clear project plans including: roles and responsibilities, senior stakeholder briefing and internal feedback.

-Liaise with the Planning and Development team to understand key offerings for corporate partnership, our strategic priorities for prospects

-Identify networking opportunities across Mind and externally for potential corporate partnerships

-Develop stewardship plans for top prospects, including Mind senior leadership and trustee engagement and roles, taking a collaborative approach and balancing impact and effort across opportunities

-Line manage one Senior Officer, alongside indirect line reports, who will support with the development of pitches and lead some opportunities with your support

-Lead and assist with the design of new partnership agreements with companies to ensure that expectations from both parties are met and the interests of Mind are looked after, and risks are mitigated.

-Work proactively with the Corporate Partnerships team managers and support the wider team to renew, deliver and grow holistic, donor-focused partnerships where appropriate.

-Work with colleagues across Mind to identify the potential and manage the risk in new partnerships, ensuring that Mind's ethical policy and charity legislation is adhered to.

-Monitor, analyse and review information on industry trends, innovations and developments, keeping the pipeline updated.

-Represent the Partnerships team in appropriate working groups, workshops and/or meetings/other events as directed.

-Monitor and evaluate new business activity and provide regular updates/reports to the Head of New Corporate Partnerships.

-To use the CRM database to enter, update and extract accurate information to maximise operational benefits and opportunities from the database system.
