Job Title: Rural Programme Coordinator – based in Liberia & Sierra Leone

Role Purpose:
- Oversee Street Child’s rolling school construction programme in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
- Support in-school, community engagement, and economic empowerment activities.
- Work closely with local partners to manage the construction of 50-100 primary and secondary schools annually.
- Frequent travel to rural communities to monitor projects and gather updates for internal and donor reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 30%
- Review narrative and financial quarterly reports from country teams and provide feedback.
- Lead the consolidation of narrative reports for various donors.
- Ensure regular information flow to communications and fundraising teams.
- Support income-generation efforts, including drafting funding proposals and donor visits.
2. Programme Management – 35%
- Collaborate with national partners, Government, and community stakeholders to identify and assess school construction needs.
- Ensure quality and timely implementation of school construction programming.
- Develop systems to track progress against key milestones and address challenges.
- Train and guide partner staff to ensure the effective use of programme documents and tools.

Person Specification:
Experience and Knowledge:
- Relevant field experience in development programming with local partnership respect.

About the Consultancy:
Muslim Aid UK (MA) is seeking a procure a consultant to plan and facilitate an organisational Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) self-assessment process. This consultant will review its performance/deliverables against the CHS and then develop an improvement plan for MA to work on over the coming 12 months. The overall aim is to help MA to deliver improved accountability and increased effectiveness for the people affected by humanitarian crisis.
About the Role:
The consultant will:
- Support the MA team to complete a comprehensive validated CHS self-assessment.
- Provide an outline of the areas of compliance/ non-compliance with the standards.
- Develop an organizational improvement plan.
- Provide insight into organisational readiness to move towards an independent verification/certification process.
Deliverables
- Draft and share a short assignment inception report.
- Conduct a desk review of Muslim Aid documents for the documentation survey.
- Formulate a summary report and improvement plan with a set of key recommendations including timeline, to allow compliance with CHS, with the objective of achieving CHS verification.
- Present the main self-assessment findings during an internal validation webinar involving all MAUK HQ, Country Offices and implementing partners.
- Submit final report incorporating the outcomes of the self-assessment, including an improvement plan, should be delivered at the end of the consultancy assignment. This should be written in alignment with the MAUK standards including a two/three-page executive summary.

About You:
The successful consultant will need to have:
- A relevant degree in economics, international development, disaster management or humanitarian aid or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Significant experience with humanitarian work, including experience with project implementation and management, as well as knowledge of current humanitarian issues, trends, standards, specifically the Core Humanitarian Standards; Sphere Standards.
- Previous significant experience of organizational development, preferably within humanitarian organisations.
- Experience with CHS assessment/verification process.
- Good written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently and implement assignments remotely.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of other working languages Arabic, Urdu and Bengali would be an asset.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As the Practitioner Psychologist/Psychotherapist delivering the partnership with the British Red Cross you will be based in two BRC Refugee Support services in Leicester and Derby whilst remaining part of the Helen Bamber Foundation Team. You will be responsible, with support from the senior Helen Bamber Foundation clinical team, for delivering assessments of individuals referred by the BRC Senior Psychosocial Practitioner. You will support effective referrals into local mental health services, and, where treatment cannot be provided elsewhere and would have significant benefits, deliver a range of therapeutic interventions to a small number of BRC clients. You will provide and support outreach and training of local health care providers to increase their capacity to support trauma survivors.
This role will include delivery of highly specialised psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, provision of appropriate evidence-based therapies, delivery of training to local mental health providers as well as to staff from non-clinical backgrounds who have significant client contact, internal relationship and partnership building, monitoring of outcomes, and potentially the supervision of a trainee clinical psychologist on a final year specialist placement. The role will include input into partnership development, policy, research and fundraising.
We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced human rights abuses and who have developed trauma spectrum disorders as a result. In addition to proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, the candidate will have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level. This role requires the ability to react and respond creatively and appropriately to the needs of the service and the partnership. We have worked in partnership with the Young Roots charity for the last five years providing a service to young, unaccompanied asylum seekers aged between 16 and 25 and we are looking for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to manage and support this work.
As a Senior Clinical Psychologist within the Young Roots psychology service, you will report to a Senior Clinical Psychologist at HBF/Head of Therapies and manage the clinical services of the Young Roots Partnership.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant Masters level qualification or similar academic achievement, and ideally with an academic focus on international development and/or a related certificate in
- Previous experience working in a Country Director or Regional Director role or other senior level leadership/management position in an INGO environment.
- Experience of working with organisations in developing countries, ideally in South and Southeast Asia.
- Experience of multiple donor grant management and reporting to major donors.

Direct Marketing Manager-Acquisition at the Disasters Emergency Committee delivers key direct marketing activities during appeals for major disasters. You will work with the Direct Marketing Manager-Retention to deliver a programme of supporter communications to feedback to donors on the impact of their donations and to retain their future support.
The purpose of the role is to:

A proven track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth of income. Experience of managing complex budgets and proven ability to manage a complex operational plan within very short timeframes and within budget.
Ideally you will have experience of working in the international humanitarian aid sector, have used Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google analytics.
You must have excellent communication skills both written and spoken, with the ability to write compelling and emotive fundraising copy. Significant technical marketing expertise across a range of direct marketing channels. Excellent numeracy, budget development, planning and project management skills.
An ability to work under extreme pressure during appeals and to very tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail is a key driver for success in this role.

The Direct Marketing Manager (Retention) is responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the organisation and the public. They will work closely with the Head of Public Fundraising and relevant staff to develop and deliver direct marketing materials to provide updates and information on how donations are being spent. They will work with the Public Fundraising team to utilise a large database of supporters for communication by email, SMS, and direct mail. They will also oversee and support the delivery of materials that support community fundraising in appeals and a light touch legacy marketing programme.
They are looking for someone with demonstrable direct marketing experience with a focus on high volume donor acquisition. Direct Marketing Manager-Retention at the Disasters Emergency Committee is pivotal when we launch an appeal. They will shape and deliver new and existing supporter journeys for the DEC’s individual, community and legacy donors, and lead a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.
The purpose of the role is to:
- Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
- Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
- Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,
- Develop and oversee the materials and supporter positioning for a light touch and mainly reactive legacy marketing programme for the DEC.
The role will deliver responsibilities for strategy and planning, fundraising, networking and building relationships. You must have strong direct marketing experience with a focus on high volume donor acquisition and demonstrable knowledge of direct marketing techniques such as direct mail, email, SMS and SMS content management systems.
A proven track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth of income and retention of a charity’s individual supporters. Experience of managing complex budgets and proven ability to manage a complex operational plan within very short timeframes and within budget.
You must have excellent understanding of donor motivations, managing donor relationships, supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
Ideally you will have experience of working in the international humanitarian aid sector, have excellent understanding of current trends within charity direct marketing and have used Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google analytics.
An ability to work under extreme pressure during appeals and to very tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail is a key driver for success in this role.
You will join a collaborative team, department and organisation that excels in maximising their fundraising effort in response to disasters that keeps donors and recipients of funds updated and engaged throughout and beyond the journey of an appeal.

The role is a key part of the Doctors of the World (DOTW) UK Policy and Advocacy team, contributing to the implementation of our three-year strategy and maximising the impact of our policy and advocacy function. Job Purpose:
The Principal Psychologist/Clinical Lead is responsible for the overall clinical management of mental health services within the project, including acting as safeguarding lead. This includes designing, implementing, and overseeing psychological and psychosocial interventions for asylum seekers and refugees. The role ensures high-quality, evidence-based mental health care, capacity building of staff, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support a multidisciplinary response. The post also ensures the integration of mental health services into MSF’s broader medical-humanitarian mission.
This role presents a unique opportunity for leadership to be part of a new, high-impact initiative for asylum seekers and refugees. As part of the pioneering team, the post holder will play a key role in establishing a new, trauma-informed care model that bridges humanitarian response with longer term mental health care. The successful applicant will have a chance to develop new skills, receive specialist training, and contribute to policy-level discussions on asylum seeker and refugee mental health.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience:
Knowledge
- Doctorate in Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration.
- Significant further advanced training in relevant specialist treatment delivery (e.g. CBT, EMDR, NET)
- Advanced expertise in complex trauma, PTSD, and comorbid mental health conditions, particularly in refugee and asylum-seeking populations.
- In-depth understanding of trauma-informed care models, stabilization techniques, and stepped-care approaches.
- Extensive knowledge of evidence-based trauma therapies, including TF-CBT, EMDR, NET, and third-wave approaches.
- Awareness of UK asylum policies and the medico-psycho-social-legal needs of refugees and asylum seekers
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding policies, risk assessment protocols, and ethical guidelines (e.g., HCPC, GDPR, BPS, NICE guidelines).
- Knowledge of UK healthcare, social welfare, and legal referral pathways for asylum seekers
- Understanding of mental health policy, advocacy, and service commissioning within humanitarian and third-sector settings.
- Familiarity with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) models in humanitarian settings would be an asset
