To help us deliver these plans, we are recruiting for a talented Development Manager to join our WRF core team. The White Rose Forest Development Manager is a new role that will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new fundraising function and strategy for the White Rose Forest, with support from the White Rose Forest Programme Director, the wider White Rose Forest team, partners and other stakeholders.
We are looking for a confident and experienced fundraiser who can draw on their previous record of success in a similar role to build relationships with a range of potential funders and secure the best opportunities to grow our non-Government project and unrestricted income. From setting up a charitable function for the White Rose Forest to developing our fundraising strategy, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape this new role. You will also be able to call on the expertise and experience within the Community Forest Trust and our England’s Community Forests network to support your work.
The Development Manager will be employed through the Community Forest Trust on behalf of the White Rose Forest and will work as part of the WRF core team. The post holder will have access to all systems available to the wider team, and training opportunities as required.
The Development Manager, as with all members of the central WRF team, will work from home without an office base. However, there is the requirement to attend monthly meetings in locations spread across North and West Yorkshire and at other times as required by the needs of the organisation. You well therefore require the ability to travel independently to such locations.

Through the Model of Integrated Care, the HBF offers survivors access to an individually tailored programme of specialist psychological care and medical advisory services, legal protection including providing expert medico-legal documentation, welfare and housing support, and creative and skills activities within an integration programme. Where someone is a survivor of human trafficking they benefit from HBF’s counter-trafficking programme of support. The Foundation’s expertise is renowned in the field.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Client Services Team which operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The duties of Client Services Administrator are two-fold 1) is to host our busy reception area and friendly waiting room; welcome clients and visiting professionals to the Helen Bamber Foundation and attend to any needs they might have and 2) to oversee the booking of appointments between clients and staff/volunteers across the organisation; liaising with third parties and clinicians in relation to Initial Assessments; booking and managing doctor’s diaries for our Medical Advisory Services and the booking of interpreters across the organisation. You will be at the heart of an exciting team of experts, working as the face of HBF and the first point of contact for both external and internal queries. ROLE SUMMARY:
The People and Culture (P&C) Business Partner drives the P&C operational effectiveness in Country Offices, facilitates organisational development and change and provides a framework for best people’s practice and quality standards. The P&C Business Partner also supports the organization in developing and implementing initiatives that encourage diversity, promote equity, and support psychological and physical safety of the workforce.
International travel including security high risk countries up to 6 times a year and extended screen time will be required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Operational delivery (30%)
- Provide advice and influence action on P&C global policies, and in collaboration with local P&C Specialists advice on local policies and employment law to staff and management based in Country Offices (COs).
- Support the timely review of local policies and embed best practice, ensuring local needs and culture are reflected.
- Work with Chief People and Culture Office (CPCO), P&C Directors, the Talent Acquisition Specialist, the Safeguarding Specialist, Global Directors of Country Offices and Logistics Manager to identity and mitigate people related risks in COs and prevent and resolve issues.
Quality Assurance (20%)
- Drive efficiency and quality assurance of P&C operational practices in COs by conducting assessments and P&C Audits, and work with P&C Specialists and Country Directors (CDs) to enhance the employee experience, ensure consistency, continuous improvement and enhance People’s capacity in country.
- Support CDs to ensure compliance and manage P&C risks as per country risk register and audits’ actions.
- Contribute to the data gathering, analysis and presentation of P&C reports, to enable decision making Identifies trends, propose actions for improvement and instigate implementation.
Employee Relations and Employee Services (30%)
- Monitor the whistleblowing line and ensure timely action is taken in all complaints received related to COs.
- Oversee and work with P&C and COs management on the prevention and effective resolution of employee relations issues and adherence to disciplinary procedures. Responsible for maintaining confidential records.
- Conduct investigations and liaise with legal firms and/or investigators to resolve ER cases.
- Identify trends and areas of concerns based on data channels i.e. surveys and exit interviews and proposes actions.
Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) (10%)
- Embed DEIA approaches in policies and processes, to create a framework that welcomes and supports staff regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, language, ability, status, and location.
- Work with the Global Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Committee (GDEIAC) to communicate DEIA strategy and establish measurable goals to track progress.
- Source, develop and manage trainings and a forum of knowledge based on needs, including through the Learning Management System (LMS) and the DEIA Week.

About the role

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.
In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to reverse this trend. We will achieve this by finding out what works to prevent youth violence and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. We do this by funding, evaluating and then spreading the very best work on reducing youth violence across England and Wales.
Key Responsibilities
Your focus will be to ensure that the office environment at YEF is a welcoming and inclusive one, being the first point of contact for new starters, employees and external stakeholders. Office Management
Ensure the physical and virtual spaces in which we work at YEF are excellently managed and a welcoming place to work. This would include:

Being a strong and personable office lead. Be welcoming to colleagues new and old and make an ongoing effort to integrate them into the team.

Ensuring that the office space is well managed including well stocked office supplies and refreshments.

Leading monthly social team activities that foster a sense of belonging.

Ensuring we have the systems to make collaboration really easy, liaising directly with our IT supplier and pointing out areas of improvement or discussing how things can be done better.
HR administration
Help ensure that projects related to HR or supporting people are done brilliantly. This may require you getting stuck in with some administrative tasks or keeping track of who needs to do what by when.

Helping to organise the annual appraisal of staff (setting up and collecting in forms and making sure everyone knows what’s going on) so that everyone learns and develops.

Making sure the online system we use for employee records is up to date, well organised and that someone technical fixes things if needed.

Ensuring that the policies we have (on things like pay, holidays, being in the office etc). are easy for staff to find and that someone is prompted to remind staff about them regularly.

Coming to know our staff policies inside out, so that staff can go to you to get a question answered.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic planner to join RABI as our new Head of Finance & Operations. This is a critical role at the heart of our organisation, ensuring that our financial management, operational governance, HR practices and estates oversight are robust and future-focused. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a central role in planning and delivering the strategic priorities of the charity.
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, you will lead and develop high-performing teams across Finance, HR, and Estates & Operations. You’ll also manage relationships with investment and estate advisors to ensure we are making the best use of our resources in line with our strategic goals.

You will be a CCAB-qualified finance professional with substantial experience of working at a senior level, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector. Your background will include leading finance, HR and operations functions, and developing and implementing strategic financial and operational plans. We’re looking for someone with excellent leadership skills, who brings a collaborative and open approach to building strong relationships across teams and with external partners. Experience of investment portfolio oversight, estate management, and working through organisational change will be key to your success in this role.
You will also bring strong planning and analytical skills, an eye for risk and performance indicators, and the ability to present strategic planning insight clearly to executive colleagues and Trustees.
