The Executive Assistant will provide a comprehensive personal assistance service to the CEO of Backup. This will include assisting with a wide-range of activities and various areas of their work, providing full administrative support, (including IT and secretarial work) diary management, planning and co-ordinating events, facilitation of meetings, drafting reports and responding to queries.

We're looking for a Media Officer who can help us amplify the voices of women leading the fight against poverty and spread CARE’s expert opinions on key humanitarian issues.

You'll work alongside our Senior Media Manager to secure high-quality coverage in national and regional print, broadcast, and online media. You’ll support our expert spokespeople, from our CEO in the UK, to women leaders in the Global South. You’ll play a key role in fundraising for our projects across the world and help us to influence decision makers.

We’re looking for an energetic, proactive individual with experience in journalism and/or media 
relations, who can help drive our media successes and ensure more people across the UK hear about 
the global realities of poverty, emergencies, gender inequality and climate change, as well as about the 
ways that CARE and our community of supporters are urgently working to address these. You’ll be able 
to work quickly to react to the news agenda and deliver timely coverage, be confident pitching to 
journalists, briefing spokespeople and have an understanding of and interest in the issues that CARE 
works with.

About the role

You'll work on increasing CARE International UK’s media coverage, working with the Senior Media Manager to 
execute our media strategy. You'll build strong relationships with key journalists and media outlets to improve awareness of CARE’s work around the world and drive fundraising and advocacy goals. You will be working collaboratively with colleagues in the UK and across the global partnership to support digital campaigns.

Administration and compliance

JOB SUMMARY

The Trusts Manager will be a driven individual with a background in securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts from charitable funders, corporate organisations, and/or Major Donors. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a diverse pool of Trusts and Foundations, both existing and prospective, to maximise philanthropic support across the RUH.

In this role, you will be pivotal in our Development Team, directly reporting to the Head of Development. Here, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the UK's most prominent Trusts and Foundations. Your objective will be to achieve targets by proactively identifying and cultivating relationships with Trusts and Foundations and writing compelling grant applications for our key projects (medical research, patient and staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment, and 'the area of greatest need.'

The ideal candidate will be adept at nurturing lasting relationships with funders, working towards a team income target of over £1.5m. You will also be a confident stakeholder manager, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and senior leaders to identify some of the key RUH funding areas that can deliver impact.

Central to your success will be your ability to articulate compelling cases for support verbally and in writing, translating complex information into persuasive appeals and grant applications. You will have a proven track record of demonstrating initiative in seizing fundraising opportunities and championing the endeavours of Trusts and Foundations. Your role will secure significant contributions for transformative projects and cultivate a culture of donor-centric giving, fostering long-term partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Development- The post holder will manage Trust and Foundation income and secure an annual income of £500k+ towards the total Development team target of £1.5m. The Trusts Manager will manage a portfolio of major gifts prospects and will be responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of, five, six and seven figures gifts.
• Management—Responsible for managing an established prospect pool and identifying new donors while effectively reporting against income projections. Demonstrate potential for line management capabilities, with the opportunity for supervisory responsibilities as the role grows.
• Governance and Compliance- ensuring philanthropic giving complies with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management—Working with the Head of Development, the post holder is responsible for managing Trust and Foundation income and expenditures to meet an individual target.
• External Relations and Communications- working with the Head of Development and the Marketing & Communications Team, supporting corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency in relation to Trust and Foundation giving.

- starting at £41,723 FTE per annum, rising to £45,782

- Additionally, £480 home-based allowance FTE per annum

This role is national and require flexibility and regular travel with some overnight stays.

This is a national role, which will support the implementation and ongoing development of our existing and new youth services, across the organisation. We are looking for an individual with sound knowledge of the youth framework, a dynamic individual, with a creative approach, who can drive and lead change and effectively communicate and collaborate at all levels with key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

· Lead the development of youth services in the organisation.

• Ensure youth participation at Family Action is at the core of the service delivery, ensuring young people voices support and shape organisational planning.
• Contribute towards developing policies and procedures for the organisations youth services, ensuring they are translated into practice with support and training.
• Contribute towards implementing identified practice improvements to drive high quality and performance.

· Professional and relevant youth qualification (Youth Work Degree). JNC Professional Youth Work Status.

· Significant, professional experience of effective delivery and management practices in children’s and young people’s settings.
