Job Title: Sessional Youth Worker (x1) for OPEN YOUTH CLUB SESSIONS

Working Hours: Variable as required, flexible hours including evenings and weekends

We are hiring for a sessional Youth Worker to join our team providing our Youth Work Programme for young people at BYC. This includes being part of planning activities, face to face delivery and safeguarding as required. You will take part in training, supervision and other meetings relating to your role.

We are looking for a creative, politically minded youth worker; someone who is willing to get stuck in and join our warm and enthusiastic team. Importantly, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate they are passionate about wanting to support and work with young people, and has a strong commitment to equalities and person centred practice.

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Experience of Working with Young People in Youth Work Settings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to challenge, support and reflect appropriately and effectively

Desired

  • Level 2 JNC Qualification or relevant youth work qualification
  • Experience of developing youth work programmes

Job Title: Sessional B.game Youth Worker (x2) FOR SPECIFIC GAMING BASED SESSIONS

Job Description:

We are hiring for two sessional Youth Worker to join our B.game youth team providing our B.game board/digital games session for young people at BYC. This includes being part of planning activities, face to face delivery and safeguarding as required. You will take part in training, supervision and other meetings relating to your role.

We are looking for a creative, politically minded youth worker; someone who is willing to get stuck in and join our warm and enthusiastic team. Importantly, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate they are passionate about wanting to support and work with young people, and has a strong commitment to equalities and person centred practice.

Specifically, we are looking for someone who has experience with digital and/or boardgames who can organise and facilitate gaming sessions for young people. This will include activities relating to various types of gaming, such as tabletop games, tabletop RPGs (Dungeons and Dragons etc.), Tabletop Wargaming (Warhammer etc.), and digital gaming (Consoles, PC and VR).

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Experience of Working with Young People in Youth Work Settings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to challenge, support and reflect appropriately and effectively
  • Adequate knowledge in digital and/or tabletop games

Desired

  • Level 2 JNC Qualification or relevant youth work qualification
  • Experience of developing youth work programmes
  • Experience or training understanding Neurodiversity and/or Mental Health
  • Experience of working in gaming environments
  • Interest in role playing games (Dungeons and Dragons or other RPGs) – Specifically in the DM/GM role
  • Experience with 3D Printing or Game Design
