You will lead in the coordination of the charity’s HR functions, particular with a focus on an employee’s life cycle. You will be responsible for coordinating a range of human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management and professional development.
The Senior HR Officer supports the Director of Finance and Operations in ensuring that the Human Resources Function is strategic, strategically aligned, and effective. The roles set the foundational processes in place to facilitate people decision making in a manner that enhances organisational impact.
● Lead in all HR function coordination aspects
● Ownership of all employee life cycle functions; from recruitment and onboarding to voluntary separation - and ensure that every staff member experiences the charity in a value aligned and consistent manner.
● Contribute to strategic HR planning and facilitate implementation. Including contributing to the development of and facilitating implementation of HR strategies that address change requirements of the organisation.
● Contribute to policy development and facilitate implementation and compliance.
● Lead in developing and maintaining HR metrics, including providing data and information enabling HR governance and advisory functions to be fulfilled as well as HR compensation and incentive plans to be developed. More specifically: Lead the coordination of maintenance HR functions
● Develop standard operating procedures for all routine HR Coordination activities. Take ownership of all employee life cycle functions - and ensure that every staff member experiences the charity in a value aligned and consistent manner - from recruitment to separation.

Strategy
· Support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in ensuring strategic workforce planning and change management in alignment with RMC’s overall strategy.
· The post holder must have a proven track record in managing complex HR issues such as grievance, disciplinary, sickness absence and other HR matters and be able to support managers in building effective working relationships.
Service Management
· Leading the provision of a comprehensive human resources service to ensure that we are recruiting the best employees and volunteers and supporting them to deliver outstanding services and other positive change for refugees and migrants.
· Managing RMC’s Human Resources in line with relevant service standards, key performance indicators and the human resources budget, ensuring robust plans are in place but also flexibility to cope with new needs, as they arise.
· Advising the SLT (CEO, Deputy CEO and Head of Services) and other senior managers on human resources matters and ensure all people managers in the organisation have the necessary skills and support to address complex employment issues e.g. in relation to sickness, performance and disciplinary and grievance processes.
· Leading on ensuring that all human resources policies and processes are adequate and reviewed regularly.
· Overseeing RMC’s performance management framework and advise senior managers on any remedial actions required.
· Ensuring timely and accurate workforce information is available as required for trustees, senior managers and the Finance team (e.g. for payroll purposes).
· Actively contribute to RMC’s evaluation process and participating in salary appeal panels and salary benchmarking exercises, and providing advice to senior managers on any salary-related matters.
Learning and Development
· Ensuring the People and Human Resources team provides the best possible learning and development opportunities for RMC employees and monitoring compliance with mandatory training (including data protection, health & safety, and safeguarding).
· Coordinate existing and potential learning and development opportunities.
Culture and Staff-Wellbeing
· Overseeing initiatives to promote the wellbeing of staff, including volunteers, being mindful of the impacts on them of working with marginalised members of society, and monitoring and supporting the wellbeing of staff.
· Managing staff satisfaction surveys, including analysis of results and working with the SLT to develop action plans in response to the results.
· Monitoring the diversity of staff and volunteers. Helping to ensure the existing broad diversity at the RMC is maintained and enriched further.
Compliance
· Ensuring compliance by RMC with employment law and safeguarding obligations in relation to staff, including safe recruitment.
· Ensuring any personal data of staff, including volunteers, is kept in line with data protection regulations.
Other Responsibilities
· Recognising the importance of taking care of own wellbeing and taking advantage of wellbeing initiatives offered by the organisation to our staff.

Pension: RMC will contribute 3% of gross basic salary

Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.
PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Most people with PKD live with an uncertain prognosis, intermittent pain and infections, and then have to undergo life-saving dialysis or transplant in their 50s. Role purpose
The Administration Officer will provide support to IAPO’s team and board of trustees to ensure that all administrative processes involved with the board and its committees, and IAPO’s operations, projects, membership, IT, and facilities are effectively coordinated and managed to ensure seamless business operations. The post holder will report to IAPO’s Chief Executive Officer.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the post are detailed below. The post holder will also be required to undertake some appropriate tasks outside of these main responsibilities. As a small organization, IAPO requires all staff to be able and willing to support the running of the office and to carry out a range of activities.
· To help promote a culture of planning, efficiency and collaboration within IAPO.
· To act as the first point of contact for any communications into IAPO (unless they are addressed to a specific person) and ensure that they are directed to the most appropriate person for action.

Role

- With the ED and Programme team, oversee the full cycle of grant making including budgeting, projections, programmatic and compliance reviews, payments, grantee reporting and evaluation of outcomes.
- Support Grants Management System (GMS) Systems Administrators as needed, in identifying, prioritizing, and specifying new features and functionality for the GMS system.
Information Technology
- Strategically manage information systems and IT platforms to support this almost 100% virtual, globally spread out, and highly mobile organisation.
- Ensure core systems are robust, available, and accessible to staff in all locations as appropriate.
Risk Management
