Main Areas of Responsibility
You will play an important role in ensuring the smooth-running of all aspects of academy governance administration as part of the Governor Services team to enable the team to offer high-quality central service to 50+ academies. The team provides advice, guidance and training support to Principals, Clerks and other members of staff in a range of areas, including governance, admissions, exclusions and complaints.
Reporting to the Head of Governance, areas of responsibility will include supporting Governor Services administration and providing Clerking services to nominated Federation academies.
Qualifications & Experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Qualifications to ‘A’ Level or above.
- NGA Development for Clerks programme (desirable but not essential)
- Robust experience in a busy administrative role
- Experience within a clerking or governance role (desirable)

We are recruiting a new Policy Campaigns Manager to develop and lead our campaigns function at ARUK. The Policy Campaigns Manager will report to the Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager.
In this role you will be joining a friendly and fast-moving Policy and Public Affairs team, with the scope to grow both the function and your role within ARUK. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop campaigns and identify opportunities to mobilise our supporters and drive influence and impact for and with people affected by dementia.
You will lead the development of the campaigns function for ARUK, building on existing initiatives, championing best practice in campaigns and building our reach and engagement. You will also be responsible for working across a range of functions including our policy, research, communications, digital, brand and volunteering teams.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Build on our campaign development processes to identify and create new campaigns that deliver change in dementia research and for people affected by dementia
· Work with colleagues across research, policy and public affairs teams to develop and deliver successful campaigns that mobilise people affected by dementia and our supporters to influence decision makers and change policy and practice
· Work with the policy managers to ensure that our campaigns align with our strategic priorities and theories of change
· Work closely with public affairs colleagues to plan campaign actions that align with key political influencing moments e.g. Budget; Spending Review; King’s speech; General Elections
Develop and deliver our campaign communications to grow the reach, influence and impact of our campaigns
· Lead the development and growth of our campaigner network, building supporter journeys, and producing compelling and creative campaigner communications across email, social media and other channels
· Work with colleagues across CRM and digital to improve data management, delivering regular reporting on campaign actions and use this data to enhance the campaigner experience and empower more people to take action.
· Work with colleagues in fundraising to build campaigning expertise and experience with local ARUK supporters and improve our reach with MPs in their constituencies
Involve people affected by dementia in campaigns development and delivery
· Identify case studies and campaign supporters who can advocate for change

The Science Communications Manager leads an expert team that inspires and informs the public, donors and researchers about dementia research, the progress being made, wider developments in the field and the impact of Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) funding.
The postholder plays a vital role in helping tell the story and scientific narrative of ARUK to a variety of audiences, cementing the charity’s role as a leading authority on dementia research in the UK and globally. They also help to create a clear, creative, and compelling case for the need for research and the progress being made towards finding a cure.
Key responsibilities include finding and developing stories around ARUK research, managing our news and views website, and commissioning multi-media content that tells the story of ARUK and progress in dementia research.
With much of the charity’s fundraising propositions centring around our research portfolio, this role and the team it leads are the keystone that unites our research output and fundraising approaches. This means working closely with our Philanthropy and Gifts in Wills teams to create impactful research content, as well as supporting engagement activities.
This means you will be an effective and inspiring communicator, creating and landing content covering ARUK research, impact and commentary across multiple communications channels and audiences. This includes: creating social media and digital content, such as blogs and website summaries; managing the progress reporting for a philanthropic audience and creating content for supporter and researcher newsletters.

As an experienced professional with a proven track record in learning and development, you will be part of the GB-wide Learning Network of The Methodist Church.
This role is based in the Northampton District as part of the Learning Network. The Network team covers a wide range of learning and development areas within the life of the church, aimed at supporting and encouraging the church in living out Our Calling: ‘The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission’. As the successful applicant, you will be the aligned officer for the Northampton District working to support and encourage learning in circuits and churches across your aligned District. In addition, you will work with other team members to deliver learning and development support across the Methodist Connexion.
About You
The role includes:
- preparing a range of learning and development activities, events and initiatives and delivering these both online and on site;
- working collaboratively with colleagues to plan, develop and review learning and development programmes;
- facilitating effective and potentially transformational conversations on a variety of subjects;
- contributing your individual gifts and experiences to enhance learning and development across the Connexion;
- supporting circuits within the district in exploring vision and developing mission plans;
- helping churches in the commitment to being inclusive, evangelistic and justice-seeking;
- a requirement to travel, and work during some weekends and evenings.
Key skills include:
- Building good relationships with the aligned District and with individuals and communities across the church and beyond;
- Good communication (including digital mediums), planning, organising, and leadership skills;
- An understanding of safeguarding;
- Supporting adult learners;
- Flexible and creative approach.
