This new role of HR Manager will be working with our team to support their employment and wellbeing, as well as providing the key structure and systems to enable the Trust to deliver to our clients and funders.  Over the last couple of years we have expanded and although we are proud of how we support our clients and colleagues it is now clear that we need in-house support to ensure that this continues and to help drive improvements. 

As this is a stand alone post we do need someone who is experienced and CIPD qualified.  Experience of the charity/third sector is not essential nor is management experience. Commitment to promoting welfare and inclusion are essential requirements for the role.

You will be reporting to the CEO but also be the key employee on the People and Culture sub committee which brings together trustees, including a HR professional, and staff to discuss and plan work priorities.

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Support Worker to work in partnership with key staff across the Movement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the smooth running of day to day operations of the Central team.

The successful candidate will:

· Act as first point of contact for team enquiries.

· Build relationships and communicate well with Faith Guides, Local Mission Partners and volunteers.

· Book venues (e.g. churches) and oversee administration for events in the region.

· Assist with the registration and data management of local Faith Guides and volunteers.

· Provide administrative support for holidays, including DBS clearance of volunteers (and attending at least one event to provide first hand support).

· Manage personal data within GDPR and SU guidelines, including records of staff compliance (e.g. safeguarding, first aid).

· Help streamline and improve team communications to supporters, ensuring informative, well presented (print and email) prayer updates are sent regularly within set deadlines.

· Help to keep the Central Team’s page on the Scripture Union website informative and up to date.

· Undertake other administrative, supportive, and promotional tasks, in line with SU’s Revealing Jesus strategy, as required by the Regional Mission Team Leader.

Main purpose of the role:

As Team Leader you will line manage a team of adult social care Support Workers who support adults with learning disabilities, in a supported Living house.

The Team Leader supports the Registered Care Manager in creating and promoting community and a sense of home, leading the service delivery in line with L’Arche values, traditions and standards, and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC]. 

As our Team Leader, you will be responsible for the smooth and safe running of one of our supported living houses. This will include managing and creating the monthly rotas, updating and managing digital care plans and risk assessments, supporting and supervising assistants (including inducting new team members).  Also, overseeing reporting such as medication records, health and safety, and quality assurance checks, implementing the planning and undertaking of meaningful activity, taking part in support reviews, ensuring training is relevant and up to date, and working as part of the senior leadership team to maintain a high quality of care.

Essential Criteria

• Experience of leadership in adult social care in a supported living or care home setting;
• A record of accomplishment of effectively leading and managing team performance, such as providing clear objectives, reviewing outcomes, putting in place develpment plans, and taking appropriate action to deal with poor performance;
• Ability to guide, support and teach the essential skills of supporting people with disabilities;
• Supportive of the identity, mission and values of L'Arche and enthusiastic about working within a community organisation rated Outstanding by the CQC;
• Level 3 Health & Social Care Diploma (adult care) or equivalent, or proven ability and equivalent experience combined with willingness to study at this level in accordance with community policy;

Key responsibilities:

• Network across the borough of Wandsworth and South West London by visiting organisations and speaking to people with lived experience of mental distress and / or using mental health services and mental health professionals.

• To lead the referral team at Sound Minds to ensure the referral pipeline operates smoothly and fits the needs of prospective members.

• To lead on the pastoral care of our individual members. Working with people to help resolve any ongoing problems around areas such as housing, finance, benefits, access to mental health services, having sufficient food to eat and referring and signposting them on to other services.

• Referring members on to other services and ensuring that the offers of Sound Minds are joined up.

• Leading group sessions to help individuals with their wellbeing and recovery journeys.

About the role:

The RSAP (Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme) Lead Worker will provide support to individuals, who have a history of Rough Sleeping, following them being accepted into the RSAP ‘move-on’ programme. 

The Lead Worker will provide intensive, holistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, flexible and responsive support to individuals accessing this service as well as work alongside external agencies to help ensure they are linked into the local community such as activities and groups which offer health, wellbeing and Education, Employment and Training (ETE) opportunities.

The Lead Worker will provide support to the Team Manager to manage referrals coming into this element of the service and lead on assessing the individual. Working within SHP’s policy and procedural framework, the worker will carry out a comprehensive assessment of needs and risks in agreed timescales.  On-going high quality support plans & risk assessments will then be drafted and reviewed on a regular basis. 

You will be working to upskill the client to manage their accommodation and feel ready to move on from the RSAP property into fully independent housing, within 2 years where possible.

About you:

You will possess the relevant knowledge and experience, including:

• A level of experience and understanding of provision of services to people within the areas of offending, mental health, homeless people with complex needs & a history of substance use; 

• A good and current understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures;

• Experience of effective liaison with social care, health, housing and criminal justice agencies;

• Experience of writing client records, completing monitoring materials and contributing to project evaluation;

• A significant level of experience, practise and understanding of the principles of risk and needs assessment, planning, goal setting, and reviewing;

• An understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with clients, peers and other relevant professionals.

You will also bring the relevant skillset to the role which includes:

• The ability to find ways to develop relationships with people who find it difficult to engage, and to engage and work with clients who may have a low level of interaction with services and who may be sceptical about their value;

• Engaging with a wide range of professionals, some of whom may have very different approaches to problem solving through a multi-agency approach, and advocating to agencies on behalf of the service and its clients;

• Providing information and advice to clients about the options available to them, with the aim of empowering clients to make informed decisions;

Specialist Behaviour Support Workers are responsible for the customer's emotional, psychological wellbeing as well as providing support to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs. At Wood Lane End, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

What you'll do:

Behaviour Analysis:
- You are liable to observing and monitoring the customer's behaviours, the duration, the intensity, and the damage, as well as factors that may alleviate or trigger the behaviour
- You are responsible in planning appropriate intervention to modify and resolve the behaviour
- You require superb interpersonal and relationship skills and must have the capacity to handle psychologically behavioural changes
- You understand and collaborate with the different support organizations accessible in the community
- You exhibit a concrete basis in behavioural analysis
- You will have ability and skill to present and feedback to other professionals in a formal setting
- Reports possible cases of abuse, neglect or endangerment appropriately
- Actively participates in the reviewing and the designing behavioural interventions plans.
- Implements behaviour support plans
- Measures goals and objectives of behaviour support plans to ensure they are being met
- Communicates with parents and care managers in regard to customer's progress in the absence of management
- Analyses the behavioural interventions to determine their success
- Assists customers in identifying inappropriate behaviours and develop better behaviour alternatives.
- Assists newly recruited staff in facilitating behavioural interventions
- Maintains up to date accurate records of customer's, service being provided and behavioural data

Homemaker Southwest provides independent advice and support to people who require help in finding, setting up or maintaining accommodation throughout Devon.

As a Money Advice Caseworker, you will be responsible for delivering high quality support services to clients across Devon, by telephone and face-to face, to sustain tenancies and prevent eviction wherever possible, with due regard to Homemaker’s policies and procedures.

You will have experience providing money advice to individuals at risk of homelessness and contemporary knowledge of debt solutions and welfare benefits.

Important qualities include strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and empower others, and the capacity to simplify complex information for clients. While most appointments will be conducted over the phone, some clients will require in-home visits, so the job demands flexibility to travel and work from different locations, necessitating the use of a personal vehicle

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Work with clients

• Ensure that clients receive a prompt and professional service.
• Provide advice and assistance through a range of channels: face-to-face, by phone, or by email. Seeing clients in office and at outreach locations and visiting clients in their own homes as required.
• Receive and respond to referrals from identified agencies in accordance with prevailing guidelines/funding.
• Provide support to clients including preparing accurate financial statements, budgeting advice, progression of debt options, advising on court proceedings for debt recovery and repossessions, and income maximisation to ensure take up of benefits and options such as backdating, overpayment and sanction challenges, appeals and representation if required.
• Keep the client at the centre of every case; check the client’s understanding and communication needs, agree on an action plan with clarity on who is doing what, encourage the client to be involved with actions as appropriate, keep the client informed of progress of case, and ensure cases are concluded in a positive way.
• Communicate and negotiate on clients’ behalf with third parties as appropriate.
• Give support in the sustainment of any tenancy, as appropriate.
• Ensure clients understand the terms of any tenancy or other legal obligation entered, or about to be entered into.
• Take a holistic approach to issues presented and signpost/refer to other services to help ensure that the advice and other support needs of the client are addressed appropriately.
• ·Ensure clients are encouraged to give feedback on the service they receive and take on any comments on ways we could improve the service.

Networking/Partnership

• Work closely with partner agencies
• Promote the services of the organisation to local housing, justice, social welfare, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Contribute knowledge, expertise and ideas to appropriate local forums.

Administration

• Set up and maintain casework and other admin systems in accordance with organisation specifications.
• Maintain agreed monitoring and outcome information for commissioning agencies and internal management purposes.

Professional development

• Keep up to date with legislation, case law, and good practice in debt and welfare benefits advice, attending appropriate training courses, using online resources and reading relevant publications.
• Attend meetings as required by manager.
• Participate in staff development programmes, supervision and performance management meetings.

General

• Uphold the aims and principles of the organization.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Neighbourhood Services Officer who understands effective management of neighbourhood services and contractors to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team working on all aspects of Neighbourhood and Estates. It is an interesting and varied role for an engaging, solution-focused person, with a passion for providing smooth running of the neighbourhoods, support and assist residents and work colleagues and someone who wants to add value within an organisation.

You will bring your knowledge and experience of conducting routine inspections of neighbourhoods and coordinate with contractors to schedule and oversee cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance activities, including building maintenance, cleaning, maintenance of communal areas, monitoring CCTV. Through regular inspections and overseeing the work of contractors, you will ensure that health and safety requirements are met. You will maintain records of inspection findings, complaints and corrective actions taken, providing regular reports to management and stakeholders on the status of cleaning and maintenance.

You should be a resilient, professionally curious person, who is enthusiastic about a career in the Social Housing Neighbourhood arena.

You will work closely with the Neighbourhood Services Manager, in a generalist capacity, to support with continuous improvement across all service areas, while helping to support and achieve our organisational objectives.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Conduct routine inspections of neighbourhoods to assess cleanliness and maintenance standards, identifying areas in need of attention.
• Be customer centred, welcoming new residents to their neighbourhoods and ensure information is made available on a range of local services.
• Carry out neighbourhood inspections in line with the programme set out by ISHA, such as checking cleaning and gardening meets the required standards.
• Monitor cleaning and gardening services, check cctv systems, lifts, check and test communal lightings, rotate communal bins and litter pick. Undertake visual weekly safety checks on playgrounds and equipment where applicable. Record your findings on our housing management system database.
• Take ownership and responsibility for any service-related complaints/queries from customers ensuring that the customers experience is positive, professional and within set timescales at all times.

We are seeking a proactive and committed individual with strong interpersonal skills who can provide an efficient, exceptional and customer-focused service to residents. This is busy and varied role, so we’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who can adapt to a fast-paced working environment while ensuring consistency, alongside considering and minimising risks, who will play an integral role in estate services and building inspection by monitoring and inspecting against standards and health and safety assessments.

Working closely with our key internal and external stakeholders, you will make recommendations for estate improvements and ensure the better delivery of services to customers. You will ensure health and safety are identified, reported and action as soon as possible.

You need to be flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic, and have excellent communication and influencing skills. A great sense of humour and can-do attitude will serve you in good stead working in our busy, fast paced office.
