About this key role
Our successful candidate will lead by example and act as both a positive role model to the team of caseworkers and as its day-to-day expert.  Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure, on a day-to-day basis, that all monitoring information and evidence is being recorded and collated in line with agreed processes and procedures and that the team can work effectively, including identifying training opportunities and peer-supervision.

We will rely on you to provide support, advice and advocacy for young people, and their families, regarding accommodation, to produce support and risk management plans based on assessments and to deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates; providing practical help such as social and housing support, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice, liaising with utilities, and cleaning.  Closing cases efficiently and positively, including identifying a referral route for young people and their families when required is also a key aspect of the role.

These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.

Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.

Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.

At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.

The Role

Role Profile

You’ll work in a multifunctional, three person project team alongside a Digital Strategy Manager and Digital Creative Expert. The three of you will cover everything needed to execute your projects, coordinating with our technology team and working with external design capacity to deliver outstanding results for your partners, and renew and grow your partnerships.

The teams are designed to be flexible and nimble, chopping and changing who does what to best meet the needs of the project and the capacity of each team member. However, each role has a set of primary areas of expertise which you’ll typically be in charge of on most projects. As the team’s expert in those areas, it’s your responsibility to make sure your team does them to an exceptional standard, whether you’re delivering them yourself or supporting a team member to cover them on a given project.

As a Digital Strategy Expert, your primary areas of expertise are all things strategy, project management and delivery. Abilities and experience you’ll need to have

• 1.5+ years’ experience working in digital campaigning or digital fundraising, with proven experience of delivering results against goals 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of managing multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships across functions 

• Being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Experience of using digital tools to build and send mass emails, comfort with managing lists 

• Excellent organisation and attention-to-detail with ability to juggle multiple priorities and keep to tight deadlines

Benefits and location 

Salary: £34,162 if you live inside London, £30,502 (plus £3,000 travel expense allowance) if you live outside London. Under our Employee Ownership Trust model, all team members will also receive an equal share of the profits each year. The amount will depend on how much profit is made.

Contract Term: This is a permanent, full time contract.

Hours: We work a 30-hour 4-day week, from Monday to Thursday. Please note - as this is a full time role, you are not permitted to undertake any additional regular paid work on the Friday.

About the role

The Hardman Trust supports people on long prison sentences to take their next steps in life. As the office, grants and programmes administrator your role is to help make this a reality through the day-to-day support of our work. You’ll help to ensure our programmes run smoothly, and that the staff have the administrative support they need to provide a quality service to people accessing our programmes.

Homeless Hostel Project Worker

A leading homelessness charity in London have approached Morgan Hunt to recruit a Homeless Hostel Project Worker to work in their complex needs homeless hostel in west London. The service provides support to both men and women experiencing homelessness requiring support around their housing, mental health, drug and or alcohol dependency and physical health issues.  The IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process specialising in working with clients at high risk. They will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 13, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice and civil remedies and related matters, support women to attend court where necessary, and coordinate the provision of multi-agency support. Part of the role will to be to establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with services providing services to clients and partner agencies within the Angelou Partnership. As a Core IDVA will work across the boroughs mentioned above, under the guidance of the team leaders and project manager.

To be successful as the Core IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:

To be successful as a Core IDVA, you’ll need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector. As an experienced domestic abuse advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic abuse, of supporting women involved in mental health services, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

An exciting opportunity to join Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT), a vibrant East London charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by homelessness and addiction. This role is crucial in ensuring excellent relationships with fundraisers and donors while supporting the administrative functions of the fundraising team.

Role Overview:

• Responding to Supporter Enquiries: Handle emails, calls, and postal enquiries, providing high standards of customer service.
• Fundraising Stewardship: Thank supporters and acknowledge key events.
• Platform Management: Manage Just Giving, Go Cardless, and other online payment platforms, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Financial Records: Maintain up-to-date financial records and donor databases.
• Event Support: Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events.
• Communications Support: Aid in producing marketing materials and distributing them to SCT shops.

Salary: £24,324 pa FTE

Right now, our Croft House Supported Housing service in Surrey is looking for Recovery Workers to support the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community. Not only are we committed to putting them at the heart of everything we do, we recognise they should be involved in decisions that affect their future too. That’s why we need you to inspire and support them to lead their own recovery. So, whether it’s helping to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations, developing domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, your empathy, enthusiasm, and compassion will have every chance to shine.

Entering accurate case notes onto our IT system will be important too. And, when it comes to regularly liaising with GP surgeries, the local council, charities etc. or promoting the service within the community, again, we'll count on you.

No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system.

The post holders will be based at our Supported Housing Service in East Molesey.

This is a permanent full time role requiring the post holder to work 37.5 hours per week.

Rays of Sunshine is an award-winning national charity that brightens the lives of seriously ill young people and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospital and within the community. Every day of the year the charity gives brave and deserving children across the UK the chance to put their illness on hold and do something they have previously only dreamed of.

The role:

We are seeking a Wish Granter with a “can-do” attitude to deliver bespoke, creative, high-quality and meaningful experiences to seriously ill children and their families. You will be responsible for planning and managing a portfolio of wish experiences including researching, planning and booking experiences, negotiating quotes and gift in kind with vendors and managing timeframes and budgets.

Requirements:

Creativity, organisational skills and the ability to empathise and communicate with wish children and their families are all key to this role. You will need to have excellent organisational skills, experience in project or event management, and ideally have some experience working with children and young people.

You will have the skills to offer creative and flexible individual work, alongside consultation and reflective practice to core groups, multi-agency networks and the wider system. You will be excited about joining a local team of people who share a commitment to end homelessness and a national team of psychologists led by a Lead Psychologist.
