A dynamic, friendly and innovative care and support business known for its life-changing services is looking for a dedicated and target driven Income and Housing Officer who can maximise the organisation's rental income collection, effectively manage rent arrears and deal with other breaches of the occupancy agreement.

What you'll do:
* Take responsibility for maximising rent collection across a defined patch of Look Ahead's portfolio of properties ensuring that rent collection targets are met and tenancies sustained
* Advise operational teams on their support related arrears management activities, including holding local surgeries with tenants and staff, taking direct control of higher level and more complex arrears cases
* Proactively monitor all current and former accounts within the defined patch and make recommendations to the Contract Manager for appropriate former accounts to be written off or referred to Look Ahead's debt collection agency
* Ensure that the rent collection function is carried out both sensitively and in a timely fashion so as to avoid the build up of excessive arrears and record all case details accurately.
* Ensure that all sign ups within the defined patch are done accurately on the correct type of tenancy and at the correct rent and service charge levels.
* Prepare files and documents for legal action and present cases in County Court hearings for possession claims, money judgements
* Serve NTQs, NOSPs, NRPs and carry out home visits as requested.
* Accurately and comprehensively record all actions on the housing management system and use reports from the housing management system to manage cases and monitor performance
* Assist with the taking on of new agency housing management responsibilities related to new services and as needed with the transfer of housing management responsibilities schemes to other providers

Encourage and enable customers to take necessary steps to seeking and preparing for alternative accommodation where maintaining their current housing situation is unsuitable or unviable
Ensure that all safeguarding concerns are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract Manager/Head of Operations, as appropriate
Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive customer records to professional standards

The role of a Step Down Worker is to provide ongoing support to IDVA clients where the risk has been reduced to a safer level or where a client is referred into the service as medium/standard risk.. The post holder will provide ongoing support which is bespoke according to need and will work in a trauma informed way providing holistic support to aid client's recovery from abuse. This post will be part of the male IDVA team and will work collaboratively with the IDVAs to manage case loads.

Who are we looking for?
A support worker to provide housing related support to vulnerable individuals together with providing housing and property management with the aim of achieving a successful move-on and other measurable outcomes including supporting service users to achieve independence.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Engage with actual and potential referral agencies including local authority central access point/gateway services, statutory and voluntary sector agencies in order to generate referrals for the service as required
.• Plan and deliver an effective support and safety plan with the service user referring to specialist agencies as required. The progressions/outcomes identified, delivered and service user contact should be recorded, monitored, reviewed, and updated regularly and in line with contract requirements
.• Ensure that properties are always adequately equipped, maintained, furnished, and cleaned
• Maximise rent collection, ensuring successful housing and other welfare benefit claims are submitted and maintained, taking proactive action to minimise rent arrears in line with targets, monitoring the account and recording all actions and where necessary taking appropriate action when arrears arise in line with policy and procedure
.• Minimise void time by taking a pro-active approach to ensure properties are re-let as soon as possible in line with targets.

Enhanced Support Worker
We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Enhance Support Worker to join our RBKC Heaney Cluster Service service in Ladbroke Grove.
£25,937.60 per annum, working 40 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.
The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough. The majority of the customers come with a history of entrenched rough sleeping; often coupled with enduring mental health difficulties. The aim is to offer a home to those who would have difficulty finding accommodation because of their lifestyle choices involving extreme drug and alcohol misuse. The high support hostel caters for eleven service users with complex needs and is staffed 24 hours a day with the minimum of three staff on duty. The medium support services are staffed from 9am to 9pm where the customers present with varying degrees of mental health issues.
Enhanced Support Workers will devise person centered support plans with customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their needs and goals. This will include sign posting them to the local drug and alcohol services to address substance misuse issues. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

The aim of the project is to assess the individual over a 12-week period with the aim of identifying their support and housing needs. In that period, we will provide a bed for the customer to assist staff to carry out a detailed assessment to ensure that the recommendation for move on into alternative housing is captured correctly to assist move on for the individual into more suitable accommodation which is correct reflective of their needs based on our assessment/recommendation.
The service operates a model of personalised approach in order to address a wide range of presenting complex needs, which could range from mild learning difficulties, substance use (alcohol and drugs), offending, mental health, dual diagnoses, etc. We work closely with outside agencies in order to ensure that the individual is linked into getting the correct support whilst they remain at the assessment centre.
A major part of the Assessment Support Workers role is putting in the foundation with our customers around basic living skills and preparing the individual to be ready to move into alternative supported accommodation.

What you'll do:
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs including support needs and daily living skills. This would include potential risks and an assessment of the customers independent living skills as a whole.
The initial and co-produced assessment will incorporate models of co-production, observation, and person-centred planning. This is with a view that it is solution focused as to provide a framework for progression towards independent living.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding the assessment process seeking advice and guidance as to specialist input and clinical input as part of multi-disciplinary assessment process.
Create support/ action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
Empower customers to be part of the local community and active participants in the local community as part of a Recovery Capital model.
Liaise with partner agencies regarding making referrals where an unmet need has been identified via the multi-agency assessment.
Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible.

As a Support Worker you will be expected to enable and support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to address this while maintaining their tenancy with the long term goal of living in an independent setting by providing flexible and individually tailored support package. Working with excluded and hard to reach customers can be challenging, however, with intensive support this challenge can be broken. You will need to be able to engage our customers in a non-judgmental way. You will also be responsible for dealing with emergencies that may arise during your shift whilst remaining calm and using initiative then writing up incident reports amongst other administrative tasks.
As a support worker, you will be working as part of a team as well as with external agencies such as London Probation Service, local substance misuse services, Mental health teams, and police amongst others. Sometimes customers may not be linked in with agencies when they entre the service, as a support worker it is part of your role to ensure they are receiving the correct support from agencies required. Ideally, you will have experience of working with vulnerable people or an understanding of the needs of homelessness. You will be required to support customers with managing their arrears; ensuring housing benefit is applied for as well as monitoring payments and acting appropriately if payments are suspended in order to ensure customer does not fall into any arrears.
You will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the service which is a five week rolling rota which consists of working some weekends as well as long days.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Enhanced Support Worker to join our Young People service in Hounslow.
£22,120 per annum, working 32 hours per week. Benefits include 25 days Annual Leave, pension schemes, staff discounts, healthcare and career progression.

We are recruiting for Enhanced Support Workers to join our dynamic service and team. You will be able to be creatively engage young people in order to minimise risks and increase their independence. Partnership working is the heart of supporting our young people and Enhanced Support Workers are required to build and maintain those relationships to coordinator the young person's support.
This role requires working on a rota pattern encompassing mix of shifts between 7:15am and 21:45pm including weekends. The service is open 365 days a year.
All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK by the start of employment as Look Ahead are not able to offer sponsorship.
What you'll do:
Responsible for key-working a caseload assigned by the Management
Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions to professional standards
Co-develop a positive behaviour support plan with the individual that identifies triggers and actions required to enable positive risk taking through reduced risks
Support customers to engage with agreed support programme
Support customers to claim and receive eligible benefits, deal with relevant agencies to develop life skills, budgeting, financial literacy, and managing finances effectively
Encourage tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively
Motivate individuals to prepare and cook healthy meals safely, going shopping and offering guidance on buying balanced nutritious food

Successful candidates will have:
An understanding of the issues facing young people
An awareness and understanding of the social, emotional and wellbeing needs and mental health in relation to young people
An awareness of adolescent development and relevant theories, such as attachment theory
An awareness and understanding of child development and best practice in promoting healthy living and positive parenting skills
An understanding of the challenges young parents face and the skills to enable them to pursue their aspirations while parenting effectively
An understanding of the difficulties care leavers face and the skills to empower them to achieve their ambitions

What you'll bring:
Essential:
Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent or experience in the social care/charity sector
Ability to adapt to challenging environments
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to plan, manage and evaluate outcome focused activities and support programmes
Interpersonal skills to build relationships with young people in 1:1 and group settings
Strong personal resilience and excellent teamwork skills
Desirable:
Understanding of the Service legal framework including the Children Act and Homelessness legislation and how to use it effectively
