About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Manager to join the HR team on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for leading and supporting in the delivery of our staff training programme, overseeing all our people development activities, and ensuring that our statutory training requirements are met. We want the staff training experience to be impactful, positive, engaging, and meaningful to provide our workforce with all the skills, knowledge, and understanding they need to deliver first-class support to our young people, whatever their role.

Our largest cohort for training is our care and support staff in our college, residential houses, adult day service, and supported living houses. We also have to ensure effective training is delivered for our estates team, catering staff, office staff, and our leaders and managers.

This role works closely with the senior leadership team to ensure a good understanding of business needs and the different operational teams to help propose the right training solutions delivered in the most impactful and cost-effective way to drive forward our strategic goals.

As part of the role, you will manage the in-house training system and staff training records and frequently update the training matrix, ensuring information is correct in a timely manner to issue monthly/termly reports to managers.

About you

You may be a training manager or have been involved in planning or delivering effective training for your staff team. Training experience within a health and social care setting is desirable. You need to have an understanding of the breadth of training required by an organisation like InFocus across very different operational teams. You will need good organisation skills and be pragmatic in finding the most effective ways to meet our training needs within a tight budget! You will also need to be a creative, confident person with excellent presentation skills who takes pride in delivering interactive, first-class training, ensuring all participants have a positive experience. About the role

Richmond AID is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person who can lead our multidisciplinary team Inclusion Team. The team currently has 6 direct reports and services include: BuddyUp, Spade gardening service, Mental Health Peer Support service, Connect to Tech digital training, Campaigning and peer group activities. 

There is a variety of skills and experience within the team which will require someone to use a flexible management approach, directing support to where it is needed most. We are looking for someone to not just manage these services, but to lead their development and widen our coverage across the borough of Richmond. This will predominantly involve supporting the people involved to be leaders of their own projects, improving delivery models, ensuring projects meet targets and quality standards. Some of the projects are also delivered in partnership with other organisations so an understanding of the responsibilities of contract management is essential. We have recently started a campaign project and experience of running effective campaigns would be an advantage.

About you

You will have strong leadership skills with experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team. You must be committed to the value of participative community engagement, have a great understanding of the needs of diverse communities, and a passion for social justice and supporting Disabled people.

You must have experience of service delivery, monitoring, evaluation and report writing and setting SMART outcomes for your team. You will know what it takes to set up and manage a project and ensure it meets the intended outcomes. Additionally, you’ll be confident in participative strategies and tools such as facilitating groups, arranging events, developing surveys, gathering views and responding to consultations.

You will be skilled in managing group dynamics and supporting your team to have boundaries with clients. You will also have experience of managing Safeguarding issues.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Halton Advocacy HUB multi-disciplinary team, working 22.5 hours per week.

Based in Halton, for this exciting multi-disciplinary role, we are looking for those with a particular interest in Non-Statutory Advocacy as the role will be based in a secure unit for up to two days a week. This role involves providing general advocacy support to patients in supporting form filling, sourcing general information, signposting and general low-level concerns and safeguarding issues around their care not covered by the IMHA role.  The role also covers the NHS Complaints Advocacy in our Warrington HUB (or Halton Hub when required), helping people who need support in making a complaint about their care and treatment under the NHS.

We also require a talented person to undertake the role of the RPR to support individuals detained under the Mental capacity Act on a DoLS when needed.

What we need from you

We are looking for someone who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support people in difficult circumstances, ideally has experience in a health or social care and may have their own life experiences relevant to the role. Although it would be useful to already hold a formal advocacy qualification, if you have not got advocacy qualifications it is not a problem, we will provide the required training.

You will be working from a secure mental health unit for up to two days a week and then the rest of the week will either be working from home so must have access to a stable home broadband service. There will also be an element of the role where you will be out in the community, but not exclusively, in Warrington, Halton, Widnes and Runcorn areas and therefore you must have access to your own transport.

There may be times when work is required outside normal working hours, so flexibility is required.

The key duties of this role are as follows:

• Work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager on the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
• Overseeing the preparation of daily and medium-term cash flows, to ensure that the Group has sufficient funds to meet obligations.

Glass Door run Londons largest Emergency Winter Night Shelter and we are looking for a new Fundraising Manager to join our team to ensure we are able to continue our service and increase out outreach and Casework support.

                                At  minimum of two days a week at the office.

Reporting to:            Head of Fundraising & Major Donors

Responsible for: Line manager to Fundraising Officer (Events and Community) as well as manage the events budget

Hours of work: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 pa

Overview of the role

The postholder will be responsible for our events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships.

What you will do as part of our team

Strategic Planning

• Work with the Head of Fundraising & Major Donors and the other Fundraising Managers to refine and develop our established fundraising strategy to maximise income from events, community fundraising and corporate partnerships against an annual target.
• Develop our annual programme of events, including cultivation, stewardship and fundraising events, whether virtual or physical.

Events Management

• Overall responsibility for the design, planning and implementation of all Glass Door events, including our flagship fundraising event, the Sleep Out in the Square, and our annual supporter thank you event.
• Conduct an evaluation after each event, considering its successes, factors which could be improved and any recommendations moving forward.
• Oversee the Fundraising Officer as they support with the co-ordination and implementation of events.
• Ensure health and safety is at the core of all event planning and implementation.
• Manage our challenge events portfolio and identify new opportunities which could increase Glass Door’s income

Corporate Partnerships

• Pitch for corporate support including commercial partnerships, charity of the year relationships and sponsorship.
• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, working with companies where the focus is on employee fundraising and volunteering, cause related marketing and/or pro bono support.
• Develop a Corporate prospect pipeline, reengaging lapsed donors from our database, and identifying new prospective partners.

Community Fundraising

• Oversee our work with community groups, supporting the Fundraising Officer, ensuring we provide necessary stewardship, support and guidance.
• Local churches are big supporters of our work. Support the Fundraising Officer to maintain excellent relationships and support them with events
• Establish a new community fundraising product, as an additional or alternative option to our flagship event Sleep Out

Policies and regulation

• Stay well informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and guidance from the Fundraising Regulator, ensure this is regularly communicated to the wider Fundraising team and forms the basis of Glass Door’s Fundraising Policy
• Ensure all charity fundraising activity (including "in aid of" events) is compliant with relevant charity and statutory legislation and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Ensure the Fundraising Policy is kept up to date across the organisation

Other

• Build excellent working relationship with existing donors, the Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders who help promote the charity.
• Line manage the Fundraising Officer: Events and Community (full-time position
• Develop positive internal working relationships with relevant colleagues, working collaboratively with to ensure communications, data protection legislation, database management and donation processing are all handled appropriately.
• Manage the relevant fundraising budget for your area, including income and expenditure forecasts, in conjunction with the Head of Fundraising & Major Donors and other Fundraising Managers.
• Attend and participate in Manager meetings, and other ad hoc meetings when necessary.
• Carry out the functions of the post with proper regard to Glass Door’s Equal Opportunities Policy.

We are seeking an energetic, personable and insightful individual with experience of managing complex events and developing positive, fruitful relationships with corporate and community fundraisers.  You will be a confident and friendly self-starter, who takes initiative to get things done.

Essential

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience managing complex events delivering six figure income targets
• Demonstrable success in securing income from a range of fundraising streams, including corporate, events and community
• Understanding and experience of developing and stewarding relationships with supporters of all kinds, from event attendees and community fundraisers to senior company executives
• Up to date knowledge of the regulatory regime around fundraising and data protection.
• Experience of managing budgets including forecasting, monitoring and regular reporting of outcomes against targets.
• A good understanding of health and safety and risk assessment procedures.

Bankside Open Spaces Trust is looking to recruit a dynamic and organised Centre Manager with a passion for community and young people to lead and manage our operations, drive engagement, and foster a sense of belonging within the community. This is an exciting and varied role working with an award winning environmental and community charity in Central London.

Role Overview: 

This role is based at our Living Space Community Centre in Waterloo, SE1, which is a vibrant and inclusive centre dedicated to promoting free to access youth activities, it has 2 halls for hire and 5 small non-profit business offices upstairs. The Community Centre Manager will proactively take the lead working with staff, stakeholders, partners, hirers and the local community raising awareness of BOST’s work, animating the centre, ensuring its sustainability.
You will be responsible for various aspects of facilities management, health and safety, planning and delivering projects within the centre, managing a small team, financial management and planning.

The Church & Community Organiser is a crucial and exciting role that aims to utilise community organising as a means support mission in and amongst estate and low income communities in the parish of St Peter de Beauvoir Town.

This role has been enabled by a grant from the Hackney & Islington Programme as part of the Church of England’s Diocesan Investment Programme. The role includes oversight of a small budget awarded as part of the grant, and line management of a .4 FTE Operational Support Officer to be recruited following the successful appointment of the Church & Community Organiser role.

The successful candidate will utilise a community organising methodology to 

• build relationships
• listen and discern existing community leadership and institutions on estates and among low income communities 
• work to organise communities to overcome identified need whilst building relationships and a habit and culture of acting together to deliver agency, ownership, and change
• signpost to/create appropriate groups/spaces to meet identified need or to enable action to be taken together to deliver social and community change
• to create new worshipping opportunities and nurture disciples from low income communities
• create and devise mindful and prayerful spaces and worshipping activities in St Peter’s and in appropriate spaces in the community with the aim of launching a new worshipping community or service

Main Duties

• to oversee membership with and relationship to Citizens UK/Centre for Theology and Community or another recognised partner institution utilising community organising
• to undergo community organising training (if not done so already) in order to be able to train local leaders and congregation members in community organising 
• to building relationships with and discern the spiritual and material needs of residents of estates and low income communities through a regular pattern of 121 conversations (on average 3 a day)
• to identify local leadership and institutions on estate and low income communities, and to help develop local leaders 
• to convene small groups and local actions to discern and meet identified need to enable action to be taken together to deliver social and community change
• to listen actively via a programme of 121s with members of St Peter’s congregation (and Warm Welcome guests) especially those living in estate and low income communities to develop St Peter de Beauvoir’s ability to welcome and develop agency of guests and worshippers from estate and low income communities 
• to create spaces and opportunities to meet spiritual needs of residents of estates and low income communities through creation of prayer spaces, worshipping opportunities and new services/worshipping communities, in addition to signposting to existing services and activities currently taking place at St. Peter’s.
