We’re seeking an enterprising and accomplished Fundraising Manager to join our team at a pivotal moment in the charity’s history, with the opportunity to work on a stand-out campaign that will secure the legacy of Westonbirt Arboretum.
Our fundraising approach is due for a shake up, after we’ve spent the last couple of years refocussing our efforts and consolidating our approach. We’re looking for a candidate that can continue to build on our successes, boosting the donations and opportunities we already have, but importantly can take the lead on launching a stand-out year of fundraising to celebrate our 40 years as a charity. It’s a role that needs creative vision and dedicated delivery to make 2025 everything that it has the potential to be.
We’re embarking on an intensive 3-year fundraising strategy that will enable Westonbirt Arboretum to achieve their 10-year vision. We work with a bid writing agency to secure all major grants, and we’re looking for a Fundraising Manager that can add equal attention to our individual giving strategy. The successful candidate will manage our existing fundraising real estate including our benches, leaves for life, and Wills & legacies campaigns, while adding a fresh view on opportunities for our birthday celebrations next year. You will Chair our Joint Fundraising Committee with our partners at Forestry England; lead on the pipeline development; project manage activities across trust & grant fundraising, individual giving, major donors and appeals; and support the CEO with awarding grants and reporting the impact.
The role reports to the CEO and is responsible for developing and implementing our fundraising strategy as well as managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Essential skills & experience
- At least 3 years of experience in fundraising
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in managing stakeholder and funder relationships.
- Strong understanding of a range of fundraising methods and tools and best practices, with the ability to create engaging and effective fundraising appeals.
- Events project management and delivery
- A thorough understanding of relevant legislation/charity law affecting fundraising practice.
Desired skills
- Experience of communicating charity impact to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in managing expenditure budgets or allocating grants
- Experience managing a fundraising team.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Regional Safeguarding Lead role is to support safeguarding practice in dioceses and cathedrals across the Church of England.
As a Regional Safeguarding Lead, you will support the development of best safeguarding practices in one of eight regional clusters of Diocesan Boards of Finance (DBFs) and cathedrals. Providing professional supervision and quality assurance to Safeguarding Officers, you will support the implementation of the National Safeguarding Standards to encourage consistency of practice. You will also support Church bodies to respond to the findings of the Independent Safeguarding Audit Programme.
You will facilitate the sharing of best practices and resources, group supervision, and the commissioning of joint initiatives between Church bodies. Working closely with senior managers, senior clergy and other stakeholders, you will ensure Church-wide consistency in approach.
You'll be responsible for:
- Providing 1:1 professional supervision to Safeguarding Officers in dioceses and cathedrals, informed by the 4x4x4 integrated/restorative model of supervision (Morrisson & Wonnacott).
- Providing advice and guidance on individual cases and safeguarding-related situations.
- Using tools and frameworks to examine practices and processes ensuring the Church of England's National Safeguarding Standards are being consistently met or worked towards.
- Leading regional networks of safeguarding professionals from dioceses and cathedrals, and facilitating joint working, sharing of resources and other mutual support arrangements.
- Establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders within dioceses and cathedrals, in particular, their senior leadership teams.

The opportunity
This is a great opportunity to make your mark on a fantastic community project as part of a small and friendly team. Using your excellent organisation and communication skills, you will support the existing Community RePaint (CRP) schemes and help to develop new schemes in order to substantially increase the volumes of paint collected and redistributed in local communities across the UK. You will promote and raise awareness of CRP online across multiple platforms, develop the CRP brand, lead on communications, and assist with promoting ReColour remanufactured paint. You will work with community organisations, paint manufacturers, retailers, businesses, decorators, and housing associations across the UK to increase the supply and distribution of surplus paint into the network and onto walls in local communities. An important aspect of the role is to develop and secure new schemes to join the network and find creative ways of encouraging paint reuse.
What you will be doing
Line managed by the Network Manager, you will have their support and guidance, to deliver the following;
Supporting the CRP network
- Proactively engage and respond to scheme enquiries, providing excellent customer service through email, phone, and social media accounts, troubleshooting to find quick and helpful solutions.
- Provide support and advice to all schemes, sharing relevant information and resources, and assisting with operational issues.
- Improve the ‘networking’ element of existing schemes, to increase the number of network functions and opportunities.
- Undertake visits to schemes across the UK, both independently and with CRP colleagues.
- Organise, devise, and deliver training materials, presentations, and events to support existing and new schemes.
- Respond to external enquiries via telephone and email.
- Liaise with external organisations in order to better assist local schemes and customers.
- Manage the project’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, liaising with developers and ensuring it is being fully utilised.
Growing the CRP network
- Contribute to the development of the CRP strategic delivery plans.
- Work with the Network Manager to develop and establish new schemes, identifying appropriate organisations, making contact, and supporting their onboarding.
- Support and, as appropriate, lead on developing new partnerships.
- Identify new and innovative ways of growing the network.
Marketing and communications management
- Produce and manage the CRP communications plan, working with the CRP Network Officer and Resource Futures communications team to deliver outputs as set out below.
- Support the Network Officer with the production and distribution of:
- Monthly Paint Pad (to CRP schemes) and bi-monthly RePaint Roller (to external organisations) newsletters.
- Regular press releases.
- CRP network promotional materials.
- Produce marketing content (including photographs and videos) for use across the network’s communication channels.
- Assist individual schemes with the production of tailored communication and publicity materials.
- Oversee maintenance and update of the CRP website content, liaising with our website partners when complex amendments are needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and development of social media accounts – Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok.
- Conduct monthly reviews of social media activity, performance and website statistics with the Network Officer and assist with content planning for the month ahead.
- Deliver presentations to external organisations, to promote the work of CRP.
- Manage stocks of marketing materials, organising print of new materials, as necessary.
Other responsibilities
- Line management and professional development of the Network Officer.
- Analysis and reporting of quarterly and annual statistics.
- Monitor progress of schemes.
- Manage and maintain key project documents – ReColour database, scheme information, photos, information sheets, guidance documents etc. ensuring GDPR compliance for all data.
- Comply with company project management practices in line with our Integrated Management Systems.

- Knowledge and experience of waste prevention, re-use and recycling projects or initiatives.

The charity is looking for a Media and Communications Manager (maternity cover) to help its work to stop economic abuse forever.
You would be joining the charity at an exciting time. In this role, you would lead on delivering the charity’s press office function and manage the charity’s annual Economic Abuse Awareness Day campaign.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Communication and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic social mobility charity which exists to remove the barriers that prevent children and young people having meaningful access to the natural world. Through a week on one of our three heritage farms, Nethercott House in Devon, Lower Treginnis in Pembrokeshire, and Wick Court in Gloucestershire, children and young people experience increased learning and engagement, improved connections and wellbeing, and leave us with an enhanced sense of environmental citizenship. Visiting children are immersed in the natural world of countryside through a food and farming offer that allows them to participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens; caring for livestock and looking after the land; and cooking up a home-grown feast in the farmhouse kitchen. In partnership with our commercial farming neighbours, children experience the benefits of collaboration, enjoy plenty of physical activity, good food, and fresh air, and discover the magical rural environment that is full of new words, sounds and experiences to inspire their creativity. Spending time working alongside real farmers fosters children’s independence and helps them to grow in confidence, develops their self-esteem, and encourages them to become more resilient.
About the Role
This role will be responsible for developing the vision and direction of the Communication and Marketing Strategy but will fundamentally be an operational management delivery role. Responsible for developing and rolling out a multi‐channel communication and marketing strategy that will:
- raise the profile of the charity by communicating news about projects, programmes, and partnerships on social channels, on online and print media outlets, TV networks,
- deliver communications to generate sales to secure a pipeline of farm residential visit bookings from beneficiary groups (being children from schools in disadvantaged communities, youth groups, young carers, children in care, etc) across England and Wales.
- secure income from fundraising by communicating the charity’s mission, vision, and values to donors, funders, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners.
The successful applicant will have considerable experience of developing and delivering a communication and marketing strategy as well as experience of designing and delivering multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns. Excellent people skills are key, as you will need to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Raising the profile of the Charity by devising and implementing a beneficiary‐focused communications strategy that supports both the sales and fundraising function, including print, social, and online communications that target teachers and other adults who are key decision makers for our beneficiaries.
- Developing and embedding an integrated communications and marketing strategy to deliver the ambitions of the Business plan, to reach new markets and successfully translate connections into bookings (‘sales’) or generate income from funders to support fundraising.
- Leading on the management and development of all channels of communication for the Charity: social media, website, YouTube channel, print media.
This position is home based but you will be required to travel to our farms and Head Office based in Exeter as required in order to fulfil the role.

Since 2006, ROLDA has dedicated itself to aiding vulnerable stray animals in Romania, one of Europe s poorer nations. Our mission includes rescue, rehabilitation, sheltering, sterilisation, and education. Our EU-standard shelters, inspired by British designs, can house up to 700 stray dogs, providing them with complete veterinary care and preparation for rehoming.
We have supported over 48,000 animals and built two dog shelters and one for disabled and senior cats. Additionally, we offer small grants to six other charities in Romania and over 40 shelters in Ukraine. We primarily rehome animals in Switzerland, Sweden, and the UK. By addressing the root causes of animal homelessness through neutering programmes and educational initiatives, we have significantly reduced overpopulation, helping over 40,000 cats and dogs in Romania and Ukraine.
Job Overview:
As the Volunteer Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and impact of ROLDA through volunteer engagement. This is a remote position that requires strategic thinking, people management skills, and a commitment to achieving our charity’s objectives.

Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
