An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Senior policy advisor to lead our policy and strategy work on housing finance.
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. You can find further information about the NHF on our website.
This role is a crucial and exciting one within our policy team and the wider organisation. You will use your policy and strategy skills to influence national housing policy on behalf of our housing association members. You will build on your existing finance and/or housing knowledge to quickly develop a strong understanding of housing associations and their finances, and will build strong relationships with Finance Directors across our membership. You will use their and your specialist knowledge to shape the policy environment so that housing associations can best deliver on their social purpose.
Whether this is making a persuasive and evidence-based case to the government for additional grant funding to build new homes or the details of social housing rent policy, or working with sector experts on the detail of accounting, pensions, tax or treasury policy, or meeting with civil servants, banks, lenders, ratings agencies, and other stakeholders on behalf of our members, this role is central to our work influencing national social housing policy.

Key elements of the role:
· Shape and lead our policy work on key strategic issues for housing associations around housing finance – advocating for solutions and mitigating risks that affect the delivery of housing associations’ social purpose;
· Develop evidence and ideas on technical policy areas into salient policy solutions that will make a difference for the sector and influence government;
· Represent the NHF to senior colleagues in government, members and external stakeholders with credibility, expertise and political judgement;
· Communicate with and provide advice to members on critical changes to policy and the external environment.
The successful candidate:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
· An ability to lead the development of credible, robust, evidence based policy, including on complex and technical policy areas;
· An ability to communicate credibly, clearly and persuasively in writing and in person including to Chief Executives, senior government officials and finance professionals;
· An ability to draft, oversee, adapt and deliver complex plans for the delivery of multiple projects or programmes of work;
· A strong interest in and passion for social housing and for housing association finances, through previous experience in either finance or housing roles, and capacity to quickly learn the technical details of housing association finances and operating models .
Nb within the NHF this role is known as ‘Policy leader’ but it is equivalent to a Senior Policy Advisor in other settings.

Covering the operational, strategic and delivery of work we are looking for a Project Development Co-ordinator to operate across the South-East, within Kent or with the ability to travel across Kent. Travel within and occasionally outside the regions will be a necessity.
This post provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to supervise, deliver and lead on our stakeholder and community engagement across a region to support the delivery of NEA’s work programme. The role will help deliver projects that can change lives, particularly during the energy crisis. NEA’s project work aims to bring improvements to the health and wellbeing of low income and vulnerable householders, through one-to-one advice, group awareness sessions, upskilling and sharing of best practice.
Delivering on a range or projects, which demonstrate good practice in delivery of affordable warmth for low income and vulnerable householders, you will understand and drive the development of partnerships working with local authorities, housing providers, and various other partners.
You will oversee the delivery of project outputs and outcomes, delivering energy and fuel debt advice directly to householders and be responsible for the preparation of reports to funders including collation of evidence of outcomes achieved; maintaining relationships with a network of stakeholders across a region.
You will also work with the Project Development Manager to identify and develop new programmes of work, including preparation of funding applications, presentation of funding proposals to relevant funding bodies and to ensure effective liaison of NEA’s work programme with other activities within NEA.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
You will have demonstrable experience of developing and/or managing projects in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration, housing, social policy or consumer issues.
It is important that you have an awareness of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
You will need good organisational skills, as well as excellent written and communication skills, as you will maintain appropriate records and data, and produce regular written reports on project progress.
You will be an excellent communicator, with experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders - with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives;
Knowledge of energy efficiency, particularly within the domestic sector and community buildings, is desirable.

Role purpose
The Administration Officer will provide support to IAPO’s team and board of trustees to ensure that all administrative processes involved with the board and its committees, and IAPO’s operations, projects, membership, IT, and facilities are effectively coordinated and managed to ensure seamless business operations. The post holder will report to IAPO’s Chief Executive Officer.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the post are detailed below. The post holder will also be required to undertake some appropriate tasks outside of these main responsibilities. As a small organization, IAPO requires all staff to be able and willing to support the running of the office and to carry out a range of activities.
· To help promote a culture of planning, efficiency and collaboration within IAPO.
· To act as the first point of contact for any communications into IAPO (unless they are addressed to a specific person) and ensure that they are directed to the most appropriate person for action.
· To work with the CEO in supporting the board of trustees and its committees, ensuring that timely and appropriate information is given to aid the board and committees in their decision-making processes, and that decisions of the board and committees are minuted, filed, and monitored.
· To help ensure key organisational deadlines are met, including for board meetings, internal and external events.
· To assist with arrangements for the attendance of IAPO staff, trustees or, if applicable, representatives of member organisations at external events and conferences e.g. their travel arrangements, reimbursement of expenses etc.
· To organise meetings, schedule appointments and support the delivery of IAPO events and projects.
· To coordinate and maintain data entry, including updating records and databases for CRM and legal information to ensure that IAPO is able to operate and make decisions on the basis of accurate and up to date information.

· Liaise with suppliers, including IT hardware, software, database support, website server and domain suppliers, insurance, mailing house and printers.

· To maintain HR records, support recruitment processes for staff and volunteers, keep up to date with and make arrangements for training and development opportunities for staff and volunteers, and other HR-related tasks as required.
· To support other IAPO staff members with administrative tasks as required.

Programme Manager
The Church Urban Fund is seeking a pro-active and professional Programme Manager, for a part time (21-28 hours a week), 6 month fixed term contract to cover parental leave.
The Wayfinder programme, is a Community-led homelessness prevention programme launched in 2022. It is specifically designed to help people in insecure housing or at risk of homelessness to move forward in life. The programme, run through community partners in Manchester, Leicester and Nottingham, aims to support clients would benefit from support from volunteer community mentors and/or case workers to overcome social isolation and related barriers to tenancy sustainment. It connects people with activities and opportunities in their community and provides practical support through the ups and downs of recovery from homelessness or insecure housing.
The Programme Manager will be responsible for the management, and development of the programme. This includes maintaining strong partnerships with delivery partners, funders, referral agencies, external evaluators, internal stakeholders, and support functions to maximise the positive impact of our work. They will develop and maintaining the educational content and supporting tools and support regional coordinators (managed by and embedded with our regional partners) to ensure the programme maintains its high standards while increasing its reach.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in poverty alleviation, preferably within the homelessness sector, or experience in a volunteer management role within a multi-agency environment and developing partnerships.
This home-based role offers flexibility but will require occasional travel to key locations including London, Nottingham, Manchester, and Leicester. Job title: Patient Support & Advocacy Officer
Reporting to: Regional Project Manager
Location: Dorset, Somerset, Bristol and Gloucester. Based at home, situated in the region to regularly travel to assigned renal units. Regional coverage to be agreed with successful candidates based upon their location.

An opportunity to provide practical, emotional, and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. You will engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients.
This may be in the hospital or other care setting, on the phone, online or face-to-face in a mutually acceptable public place.
The role will cover (as part of a team) the main renal units and satellite dialysis units across your designated area in Dorset, Somerset, Bristol and Gloucester, and frequent travel and attendance is expected at some sites.

Responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service in the region so patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independent support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing
• Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region and the effective management of a caseload. This involves regular attendance at renal clinics in the region, building relationships with health and care professionals and being available for patients in the renal unit, on the phone or online, or to meet at a mutually convenient public location
• To support patients to build the skills and confidence needed to positively navigate the challenges presented by health, social care, benefits, and financial support pathways, and to overcome barriers and promote independence

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Officer with hands on experience running paid digital and email campaigns to join our brand new Digital Engagement team.
This is an exciting time to join Young Lives vs Cancer as we set up a new Brand Marketing and Communications function including a team of digital experts.
This role leads on paid digital and email campaigns and is a vital part of our new digital hub of expertise within the organisation - helping to drive forward the best use of digital channels. You will deliver exceptional digital activity that delivers against organisational objectives.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in our Role Details document.
Work with product owners to design and run paid digital campaigns (Meta ads, LinkedIn ads, PPC, display). Run campaigns in-house as well as manage the day-to-day work of media agencies.
Lead on email marketing, designing and building high-performing campaigns and journeys. Take ownership for training and support on the ESP platform
Monitor the impact of marketing campaigns, identify and recognise trends within the data and use these to inform future campaigns.
Support a data-driven and test and learn approach within the team, encouraging continual learning and optimisation, particularly focused on a testing approach to donation journeys.

Purpose of the role
As a member of the Business Support Team, the post holder will work closely with our leads and their teams to understand and support organisational and programme requirements across our diverse and exciting areas of interest.
The post holder will work closely with others to plan, anticipate and deliver high-quality support across a range of NDTi projects and work areas. They will pro-actively contribute to organisational life and maintain NDTi’s reputation for excellence with our clients and stakeholder.
Key Activities
- Liaise and work with leads with confidence, replying to external and internal queries where possible and escalating others as needed. Keep in regular contract with team members ensuring that they, alongside external stakeholders, understand the support the post holder can provide.
- Gather the necessary information to complete key contractual paperwork throughout the project lifecycle, including contract set up and the prompt receipt and processing of client contracts. Work with the Finance Manager and relevant lead to ensure that invoicing schedules and billing particulars are up to date, that client specific activity reporting is completed accurately, and NDTi’s schedule for delivery is maintained.
- Maintain a schedule of project outputs and work to ensure reports, events and other deliverables are planned and delivered on time, liaising with colleagues across other work areas where needed.
- Plan, organise and effectively project manage regular events of both online and residential including at scale.
- Use existing and emerging technologies and established practices to set up and plan events, ensuring prompt co-ordination and confirmation of arrangements with venues, participants and presenters.
- Lead the process for delegate and stakeholder sign up, liaising with leads to ensure good representation and attendance levels are achieved. Work with the lead to ensure any specific requirements, for example, allocation of places and accessibility needs are managed and met.
- With the project coordinator, work to deliver the event on time and within budget. Keep leads updated, alerting them to potential overspend or other issues, such as take up/attendance levels that could impact the success of the event, as they arise.
- Actively update website and other source information about our team, our work, our events and our resources, ensuing they are up-to-date, and are in keeping with in house and project specific branding guidelines.

- Organise and lead on the booking process and internal organisation of CLS Network workshops and other Network-wide meetings.
- To manage all CLS invoicing ensuring data from contracts is transferred to an invoice and ensuring invoices are logged within the database.
- Collect data in relation to attendance across the CLS sites at Network wide events and workshops and provide regular reports to Network members and CLS team members as required.
- Attend large gatherings in person, lead the setting up and liaison with the venue and provide the welcome and any support to participants to ensure they get the most out of the experience.
