The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation is the international charity that drives and encourages the Award’s growth, access and impact across the globe. Working in partnership with organisations and governing bodies, we oversee the licensing of Award operators – including schools, youth groups, employers and custodial institutions. 

The purpose of this role is to support the philanthropy team in managing fundraising initiatives and will be achieved through efficient administration, researching donor prospects, and specifically supporting the team and Head of World Fellowship and Philanthropy with all administrative duties. This role will also hold responsibility for the accurate and timely input of Fundraising-specific information into the organisation’s management information systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support for the Philanthropy team.
• Coordination of meetings for various groups such as our Development Group and Special

Projects Advisory Committee;

• Arranging times
• Communicating invites
• Circulation of papers and minutes
   
• To be an alternative point of contact for team enquiries.
• Monitor the general email inbox, and distribute enquires to the relevant person(s).
• Assist team leads with general administration when requested, including biographies, letters and receipts.
• Provide support to donors as and when is required such as providing information onevents.
• Proactively supporting with administration of financial transactions such as creating payment reminders and receipts.
• Aiding in the creation of the quarterly newsletter, collating news pieces on the Award and events.

Assist the team in the run up to events and at events, specifically:

• Liaising with guests in the run up to events to deal with any enquiries they may have
• Collating proformas
• Supporting at events to ensure that the event runs smoothly

Assist with the day-to-day administration of our CRM, Salesforce, for the team.

Specifically:

• Uploading documents to accounts
• Adding accounts to campaigns
• Creating Leads and Accounts for prospects and new donors

• Conduct due diligence reports on new donors and lead the reports through the appropriate channels for approval.
• Ensuring all processes are fully compliant with fundraising regulation.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the Foundation to support the successful delivery of the organisation’s objectives

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated person with a passion for volunteering and training who can aide in helping to build and sustain a solid and quality framework for the volunteering and workforce training provision at Mind BLMK.

The successful candidate will aide in the creation and administration of cohesive processes and systems for workforce training and in ensuring that Mind BLMK increases its engagement of volunteers, which will include establishing community links and supporting the organisation’s vision and values.

Key Duties

• Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and mapping of Mind BLMK’s current workforce training offer, helping to identify gaps in provision (e.g. through staff appraisals, supervisions etc.), evaluate alternative solutions and making recommendations for effective and impactful training pathways
• as needed for all staff and volunteers.
• Continue the ongoing audit of existing staff and volunteer training records and maintain the framework for storing and reviewing staff and volunteer training records.
• Monitor and develop, if necessary, the monitoring system that shows staff and volunteers are completing the training required for their role and taking action when gaps are identified.
• Manage the staff training inbox and coordinate the administrative aspects of the training cycle, such as scheduling, booking, invoicing, and reporting.
• Promote and support the value of volunteering within Mind BLMK and with external organisations.
• Continue to review and monitor all existing volunteer roles on an ongoing basis to ensure an effective volunteer contribution in line with contractual obligations where appropriate is maintained across all departments.
• Aid managers with procedures for designing volunteer roles, managing enquiries, applications, interviews, references, DBS checks and provide a supportive oversight of each candidate’s volunteering cycle.
• Support the induction of volunteers ensuring they are positively onboarded into Mind BLMK and understand the culture, values, and code of conduct.
• Ensure processes are in place for all volunteers to receive training and regular one to one support by the appropriate person.
• Facilitate and manage meetings with volunteers and project staff as appropriate.
• Be responsible for ensuring the volunteer database and administrative tasks, including monitoring, and recording in relation to these duties is kept up to date.
• Support the recruitment of volunteer trustees.
• Liaise with other agencies in the community, including voluntary, statutory, and business organisations, in order to promote volunteering with, to recruit new volunteers and to draw in new resources.

Spectra are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and proactive individual to promote, co-ordinate and deliver sexual health and well-being outreach and support for targeted groups in commissioned London boroughs, focusing on those at increased risk of poor sexual health.

You will develop targeted and general sexual health outreach and HIV-specific programming, providing knowledge and skills, and empowering individuals to access the support that they need.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Develop the advocacy team’s expertise in all of the ways our evidence can be used to effect change, including policy work both with the Home Office and NHS England who commission healthcare in immigration detention, parliamentary work, media work, and to contribute to strategic litigation, and how and when they interrelate.
2. Understand and keep updated on what is happening with immigration detention policy, including matters that influence it, such as the literature on health issues of detainees, key legal judgements, inquests, reports by official monitors and parliamentary committees, responses to parliamentary questions, parliamentary debates, research produced by other organisations, and information that you glean from FOI requests.
3. Keep abreast of the wider political context that may influence immigration and detention policy.
4. Represent Medical Justice at external meetings and events.
   - Participate in Home Office, NHS England and monitoring bodies’ stakeholder forums.
   - Participate in formal and informal ad-hoc NGO groupings.
5. Work both reactively and pro-actively, identify opportunities for securing change and prioritise work according to its strategic importance as well as ‘return on investment’.

8. Facilitate the meaningful involvement of people with lived experience of detention Medical Justice advocacy work, including in its design and development.
9. Line-manage the Parliamentary & Research Analyst and the Researcher, including providing support in terms of personal development/training and well-being. There will also be line-managing responsibilities for some periods of an individual on the Casework Trainee programme for people with lived experience, once it is introduced.

Research / line-management of the Researcher

1. Consulting colleagues, other NGOs and lawyers to identify research projects that draw on medical evidence from our casework that would have the most impact, including carrying out research for strategic litigation and supporting such litigation.
2. Collaborate with other organisations as appropriate.
3. Lead the team in conducting research and provide periodic feedback of policy implications regarding the emerging findings to others within the organisation for consideration.
4. Lead the team in the producing analysis of research and audits of our MLRs, writing up into required formats, including research reports, text for inclusion in policy work, submissions, witness statements, briefing papers for parliamentarians, and media articles. 
5. Together with colleagues, offer suitable material for peer review publication and contribute where appropriate to research carried out by medical professional bodies and others.
6. Contribute to the further development of the Medical Justice datasystem and its functionality.

Policy work

1. Carry out policy work with the Home Office, NHS England and their contractors – this may include responding to consultations, and challenging issues proactively.
2. Build relationships with the Home Office, NHS England, and monitoring bodies – make sure Medical Justice is included in all relevant consultations and alert others if they have been missed out.
3. Collaborate as much as is sensible with other organisations to get the best outcomes for people in detention.

Parliamentary work / line-management of the Parliamentary & Research Analyst

1. Oversee our work as the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Immigration Detention, raising awareness of immigration detention amongst parliamentarians and priming them to take action. Work to ensure the APPG brings together parliamentarians with experts, NGOs, lawyers and people with lived experience to amplify our collective impact.
2. Oversee the briefing of parliamentarians for challenging unjust policies, asking parliamentary questions, holding parliamentary debates, opposing parliamentary approval of harmful policy amendments, and assisting parliamentarians in tabling amendments to relevant Bills.
3. Oversee submissions parliamentary committees to inquires they hold as well as the briefing of committee members and clerks.

 Galvanise Medical professional organisations

1. Work with Royal Colleges, the British Medical Association and others to galvanise their communities, encouraging helpful evidence from them, and organising events with them.

Media

1. Work both with the Director and on your own to create mainstream and social media opportunities to promote the work of Medical Justice and the needed content.

General

• Provide reports for staff and/or trustees as requested.

Summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of the Regional Safeguarding Lead role is to support safeguarding practice in dioceses and cathedrals across the Church of England.

As a Regional Safeguarding Lead, you will support the development of best safeguarding practices in one of eight regional clusters of Diocesan Boards of Finance (DBFs) and cathedrals. Providing professional supervision and quality assurance to Safeguarding Officers, you will support the implementation of the National Safeguarding Standards to encourage consistency of practice. You will also support Church bodies to respond to the findings of the Independent Safeguarding Audit Programme.

You will facilitate the sharing of best practices and resources, group supervision, and the commissioning of joint initiatives between Church bodies. Working closely with senior managers, senior clergy and other stakeholders, you will ensure Church-wide consistency in approach.

You'll be responsible for:

• Providing 1:1 professional supervision to Safeguarding Officers in dioceses and cathedrals, informed by the 4x4x4 integrated/restorative model of supervision (Morrisson & Wonnacott).
• Providing advice and guidance on individual cases and safeguarding-related situations.
• Using tools and frameworks to examine practices and processes ensuring the Church of England's National Safeguarding Standards are being consistently met or worked towards.
• Leading regional networks of safeguarding professionals from dioceses and cathedrals, and facilitating joint working, sharing of resources and other mutual support arrangements.
• Establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders within dioceses and cathedrals, in particular, their senior leadership teams.

Please note: There are 5 Regional Safeguarding Lead roles available and these roles require home working and travel to dioceses and cathedrals as listed in the regions below, one of which is a part-time role at 0.6 FTE.

The Student Advisor is responsible for delivering high quality and empowering one-to-one advice and support to our student members. The focus of the role is to ensure that students can access the Kings College London (and linked institutions) regulations and procedures, equipping them with the information, tools and support they need to take the decisions that are right for them in their circumstances.

The Student Advisor will do this by: 
- Delivering specialist advice through a range of channels
- Managing a caseload and keeping accurate case records 
- Representing individual students at formal and informal University meetings
- Identifying policy issues/trends and communicating these to the Advice management team.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of KCLSU Advice and Wellbeing projects

Key responsibilities include:

Casework: 
- Provide casework up to a specialist level relating to Higher Education regulations and relevant legislation (including Equality Act 2010 and Consumer Rights Act 2015)
- Support students throughout their case by impartially advising on appropriate options, reviewing correspondence and written statements and acting as an advocate in informal and formal hearings. 
- Develop expertise in University regulations, processes and operations and apply this knowledge to individual cases 
- Develop knowledge of University, KCLSU and External Services to enable appropriate signposting and referrals. 
- Communicate complex and technical information in a straightforward, accessible way including for international students whose first language is not English.
- Design appropriate case strategies, using a coaching approach to ensure client involvement and ensure students are equipped to take action on their case. 
- Professionally work with colleagues across the University including Student Conduct and Appeals, Student Support Services and Academic Departments; especially when dealing with sensitive and contentious issues where students are in conflict with the University.
- Manage own caseload, prioritising in accordance with KCLSU Advice procedures and keeping accurate and confidential case records and statistical information.
- Ensure all casework conforms to the policies and procedures of KCLSU Advice.

Developing Policy: 
- Collect data and record information to enable KCLSU to analyse trends. 
- Provide case studies and statistical evidence in support of student-led campaigns.
- Occasionally attend working groups, forums and committees to provide relevant expertise.

KCLSU Advice and Wellbeing Projects: 
- Work with the Wellbeing Team to plan and deliver student wellbeing training. 
- Work on collaborative projects with the University and KCLSU to provide the student experience in line with KCLSU strategy.

The role

This role will play a key part in the success of fundraising at The King’s Trust International, both through managing a small portfolio of both philanthropy and corporate donors and more broadly through supporting the fundraising of the wider team. This exciting and varied role will provide key stewardship, reporting and event support as needed to cultivate and progress our funding pipeline. Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030.  We are a London-based NGO, with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.

Following a phase of sustained growth, Blue Marine is seeking a Head of Operations.  This new team member will support the Director of Finance, Operations and Governance to manage a broad scope of operational functions, particularly focused on contracts and agreements, data management, risk management, systems and security.  The role will involve collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation to drive system and process improvements.  (Note that HR is not within the scope of this role.)

Role and Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Director of Finance, Operations and Governance, you will:

• Write organisational policies and lead the policy workflow process on Sharepoint, driving policies through the amendment, approval and employee attestation phases.
• Manage the relationship with Blue Marine’s external IT Support consultancy, including communicating changes to cyber security and leading asset management processes.
• Support the finance, fundraising and project delivery teams with funding/partnership contracts, agreements and MoU templates, including writing and reviewing routine agreements.
• Assist with the restructure of data architecture across Sharepoint and provide appropriate support and training for colleagues across the organisation, including future new starters.
• Support the implementation of new software and technologies across the organisation, potentially including Microsoft Copilot AI.
• Advise the executive team on data management and GDPR.
• Assess and manage operational risk, including maintaining the organisational risk register but also in the wider promotion of a responsible risk culture.
• Support the finance and fundraising teams with due diligence queries from donors.
• Assess suitability and manage renewals of insurance cover.
• Maintain records and statutory registers and assist with the facilitation of good governance.
• Line management of the Office Manager, taking responsibility for ensuring the office is fit for purpose and driving the office management committee in maintaining high standards of office tidiness and aesthetics.

Personal specification

The ideal candidate will be, above all else, an excellent professional communicator, comfortable with both writing formal documents and managing operational change within the organisation.  You do not need to have legal experience but will nevertheless have a proven ability to produce formal but readable agreements and policy documentation.  You do not need to have a technical IT background but will nevertheless be comfortable discussing best practice and data management within the Microsoft Office 365 cloud environment and use your experience to support colleagues to get the best from the technology available to them.  You will be a champion of Blue Marine’s working environment, taking an active role in the office culture and driving staff engagement of operational systems through giving presentations and one-on-one support to colleagues. You will have knowledge of usability testing, user research methods and conversion rate optimisation as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR.

• Manage the delivery of all Retention campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes
• Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of Retention campaigns
• Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and relevant performance reviews
• Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure
