• To provide the marketing team with administrative support in terms of management of the marketing inbox, social media channels and development and collation of marketing materials.

What you do

Marketing  

· Assist in creating and delivering impactful marketing and communication materials, to engage both our online and offline audiences.

· Keep the website up-to-date; updating news, editorial and creative digital content including text, images and multimedia.

· Create compelling and engaging content for social media channels, website and other publications.

· Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, manage performance reporting, and recommend improvements and growth opportunities.

· Support photography and video requests to create in house or externally sourced engaging content.

· Assist service users and fundraisers with the development of user generated content including blogs, vlogs, podcasts and films.

· Use analytical tools to report on digital performance for web, email and social media.

· Support our online advertising including but not limited to; google ad

words and meta advertising.

· Ensure marketing collateral is kept up to date including print distribution.

· Prepare marketing briefs and liaise with external design agencies.

· Liaise with suppliers to source quotes and place orders.

Communications

· Monitor online communications and engage with audience conversations, when appropriate.

· Maintain a database of photos and case studies to promote our work.

· Support the delivery of high quality events and campaigns.

· Source, design and print branded materials as required.

· Write, edit and proof copy for campaigns, marketing materials, social media and our website.

· Produce case studies with a clear narrative which align with the overall charity strategy.

· Provide administrative communication support and production of digital marketing materials.

· Monitor media stories, press cuttings and report accordingly.

· Monitor relevant news stories and produce regular round ups to inform media planning and share with staff.

General

· Ensure databases are kept up to date.

· Provide copywriting and editing support across all internal and external communications to maintain consistent tone, style and messaging.

· Undertake any other duties as the organisation may reasonably require.

· To support the implementation of the charity’s brand strategy and act as a brand champion.

· Able to work some out of hours including attending events, attending some early/late meetings and monitoring social media.

· Comply with all Weston Park Cancer Charity’s policies and procedures including confidentiality, privacy and data protection.

· Promote the Guiding Principles and objectives of Weston Park Cancer Charity.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising team. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. The role

About the Role

As the Financial Controller you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and report into the Chief Executive Officer. You will lead a small team and manage the relationship with our existing outsourced finance team, payroll provider and auditors to deliver high quality professional finance services to the charity. You will be responsible for the financial systems and processes and ensuring the quality and timeliness of work delivered.

Galop has gone through a period of rapid growth and you will be continuing the work to align its financial practices to its new operating model. Personally, you will be resilient and driven to develop, implement and improve financial policies. You will be working with the Treasurer and SLT to improve financial management and controls. Your financial analysis and reporting skills will be exceptional and you’ll have the ability to manage people setting clear goals and priorities for your team whilst providing support and challenge where needed.

You will work closely with other teams to establish regular, clear, and consistent channels of communication at all levels within the organisation. You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams and will; improve the understanding of charity’s performance; influence decision-making; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities and support options and scenarios planning including funding applications.

You will support women living in nia’s refuges to move on into accommodation and support them to resettle and build resilient support networks.

Salary

Main purposes of the job

• Managing The Vavengers social media channels. Mainly Instagram, X, and LinkedIn with development opportunities on Facebook and TikTok.

• Co-managing our Squarespace website, keeping it up-to-date and accessible for our range of audiences. 

• Creating a range of graphic design artwork in digital and print, including but not limited to: social media assets, event branding, marketing materials and educational resources.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

You should be an excellent communicator and able to motivate and empower others. This is a full-time role.

We have a vacancy for a Flourish (Refugee and Asylum Seekers) Community Outreach Worker to join our team, supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health as a primary need, through providing advice, information and holistic support.

About the Service

‘Flourish’ is a highly flexible and responsive outreach service developed to meet the needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Hertfordshire. The aim of the service will be to support refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health support as a primary need.

Purpose of Post

• To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
• Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
• To take allocated referrals from any agencies including the Community Navigators, Borough and District Councils, Herts Help, Housing Providers, Herts Welcomes Refugees, the Refugee Council and self-referrals including walk in contacts at any of the Mind wellbeing centres across the county.
• Hold a caseload of clients, supporting for approx. 10 weeks
• To create a safe space for the individual to be able to explore their feelings and improve their understanding around their mental health.
• To complete a holistic needs assessment.
• Ensure all person centred risk assessments and support plans are completed.
• Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
• Support clients to build their emotional resilience, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
• To provide safeguarding intervention support. This will include responding to problems, which pose an immediate risk.
• To work alongside translators when required to provide a robust package of support for clients.
• To accompany clients to initial visits and appointments as necessary in order to ensure the sustained use of existing support services in the Borough.
• To provide advocacy services to clients experiencing mental ill health.
• To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
• To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working, working with other third sector and VCSE organisations to provide signposting and continuity of care.

Location:  Waverley Abbey College, Waverley Abbey House, Farnham

Since 1987, Waverley Abbey College has equipped Christians for their vocations with skills in spiritual formation, mental health and wellbeing, and leadership. We are now one of the largest providers of Christian Counselling qualifications in Europe and are fast becoming the leading provider of Chaplaincy training in the UK – all while maintaining both academic rigour and an outstanding level of student satisfaction.

We are looking for an experienced registrar to help manage the registry office and to ensure the team continues to provide excellent service to the college and its stakeholders, as well as effective liaison with and information provision to partner institutions and statutory bodies.

Key Tasks

• Support the Academic Registrar in managing the student journey through their programme of study, including requests for extensions, interruption, withdrawal and other changes including student progression. Responding to all queries by phone, email and face to face
• Liaise closely with the Student Finance, Academic Administration, Student
• Services teams and other functional areas within Waverley Abbey Trust including academic staff, Resources and HR
• Set up and take minutes of all Academic meetings

 
University and College Regulations

• Maintain an understanding of the validating university’s and Waverley Abbey  College’s policies and regulations and check college and student compliance
• Contribute to university audits and programme validation/revalidation as required

Assessments and Progression Boards

• Assist the Academic Registrar in administering Moodle and maintain accuracy of the marking system and data, including release of grades to students and capture of results into student management system
• Prepare assessment information and associated documents for the External Examiners and assist with producing grade sheets for Assessment and Progression Boards
• Notify students of Assessment Board results and prepare award documents
• Liaise with college staff during graduation periods to ensure all eligible students are included

General

• Onboard students, including registering students with the university
• Ensure that all reports and data produced by the department are accurate and produced in a timely manner
• Attend Waverley Abbey College meetings including Assessment Events such as Open Days and Evenings (maybe weekends) Discovery Days and Graduations
• Closely co-ordinate with student finance staff as needed
• Attend the Mitigation Panel and record outcomes, for relay to students
• Liaise with the Learning Support officer, programme leaders and tutors as required
• To undertake personal continuous professional development activities e.g. membership of relevant professional bodies, conferences, education and training
• Provide general assistance as required by the Academic Registrar and by the developing needs of the college
• Monitor student attendance
• Assist organisation of Graduation ceremonies
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by the postholder’s line manager

 
 To be successful in this role, you will have a good working knowledge of the Higher Education sector. You will have an understanding of the student-related academic cycle and administrative processes within Admissions and Registry as well as knowledge of Assessment and Grading systems. You will also have experience of line management and providing excellent customer service to our students.
