We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Deputy Manager, with experience of working with adults with a learning disability/autism and complex needs to join Outward.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills to support the Team manager in coaching and mentoring the staff team, and also embedding high standards in the running of the service. The successful candidate will be working alongside frontline staff to support the skills building needed to increase the independence of people with autism and/or learning disabilities and behaviours of concern. Responding to the Transforming Care agenda this service is providing a real opportunity for people to thrive and enjoy a good quality of life, as active and valued members of their community.
Outward’s autism and PBS specialist services have a strong reputation across London, where we support people to live full and active lives, with support designed around the person’s personal ambitions and choices. PBS training will be provided to develop the successful candidate into a PBS coach, and you will be working closely with our Positive Behaviour Lead to create a culture that promotes Positive Behaviour and Active Support values and practice. The role involves teaching people new skills and ways of communicating which reduces behaviours of concern.

About You
- Experience of managing a service for people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs including behaviours of concern is essential. (E)
- A qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), or a willingness to gain the qualifications within the first 3 months of employment is essential. (E)
- You will be an excellent communicator liaising effectively with key stakeholders including the multi-disciplinary and health professionals, family carers and people we support. (E)
- You will have experience of staff management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop a large team, ensuring staff are appropriately trained. You will be visible in the service and strive to model best practice and inspire support workers. (E)
- You will be able to think creatively and be adaptable in approaches, with experience of implementing emergency management guidance to support staff. (D)

Purpose of The role
Habitat GB is seeking a dedicated and experienced Global Advocacy Manager to lead our efforts in advocating for policy change within the UK government (in particular targeting the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) to prioritise housing in international development. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in supporting Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy agenda which aims to promote equitable access to adequate housing worldwide, focusing on informal settlements in the Global South. The Global Advocacy Manager will be instrumental in building Habitat GB's profile and influence, establishing strong relationships and coalitions with stakeholders in the UK, identifying lobbying opportunities, providing strategic political insight, and ensuring systematic monitoring and analysis of the international development political landscape. By collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, the successful candidate will drive meaningful change and contribute to addressing housing challenges on a global scale.
Main Responsibilities
These responsibilities outline the multifaceted nature of Global Advocacy Manager role, highlighting the importance of strategic planning, relationship building, political engagement, and impact evaluation in advancing Habitat GB's advocacy objectives related to housing and poverty reduction.
· Strategic Development, Engagement and Implementation: Lead the development of a comprehensive global advocacy strategy aligned with Habitat GB's mission and the "Home Equals" campaign objectives, engaging key people in Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy team. This strategy should focus on advocating for policy change within the UK government to prioritise housing in international development and align with our UK facing advocacy strategy where relevant.
· Policy Research and Positioning: Synthesise research on housing policies, trends, and best practice to inform advocacy priorities and positions. Develop policy briefs, reports, and other materials to communicate key findings and recommendations to policymakers and stakeholders.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including UK policymakers, government officials, NGOs, advocacy groups, and other relevant organisations.
· Lobbying and Political Insight: Identify lobbying opportunities within the UK government, including engagement with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and other relevant entities. Provide strategic political insight and guidance to strengthen advocacy impact.
· Advocacy Campaigns: Lead the development and implementation of global advocacy campaigns, initiatives, and events to mobilise support for housing priorities. Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to design and implement these initiatives.
· Evaluation, Reporting and Learning: Establish mechanisms for systematic monitoring, analysis, and dissemination of political intelligence related to housing and international development issues in alignment with Habitat for Humanity International’s global metric tracking on advocacy impacts. Prepare regular reports on advocacy outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future action.
· Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate closely with teams across Habitat GB and Habitat for Humanity's global advocacy team especially on G7 related advocacy and implementation of the Home Equals campaign, other affiliates, and external partners to align advocacy efforts and share best practice.
Person Specification
· Strong understanding of UK government structures, policy-making processes, and key stakeholders involved in international development.
· Significant experience in UK-facing advocacy, policy analysis, or government relations, with a focus on international development, housing, or related issues.
· Experience delivering targeted advocacy strategies and implementing communication strategies to support advocacy efforts.
· Proven track record of successfully influencing policy change and mobilising support for advocacy campaigns.
· Experience of directly engaging stakeholders and decision makers through events, networks, meetings and other mechanisms.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team Endsleigh Gardens which is a 49 bed Supported Accommodation hostel. The service provides person centred support to clients with a history of homelessness and complex needs, such as alcohol, substance and mental health support needs.
The service is primarily aimed at clients who have a history of rough sleeping, providing them with an environment to recover from homelessness, whilst building their skills and unlocking their potential to ultimately achieve a move-on into independent accommodation.
The Deputy Manager will have significant involvement in leading project staff to create a psychologically informed environment to allow for meaningful change.
As part of the management team, the Deputy Manager will play a key role in ensuring the Endsleigh Gardens team provide a quality service, to vulnerable groups and individuals, who face complex barriers to accessing services. Key responsibilities in this role will be:
- Supporting the team in the day-to-day development and management of the service.
- Line management of staff; offering motivation and supervision to deliver high quality service with a recovery-focused and person-centred approach.
- Responding to incidents and working closely with the second Deputy Manager and Service Manager to maintain high standards of health and safety in the service.
- Working proactively and creatively with other partner organisations and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven person with relevant language skills to support the Roma Rough Sleeper Team as an Outreach Worker (known internally as Roma Mediator), working across central London boroughs. In this vital role you will:
- Undertake Street outreach shifts where you will be involved in making contact with people who are sleeping rough, assessing their needs and delivering personalised case management; to support individuals to make the move away from the streets.
- Support teams of Street Outreach Workers to deliver accessible services and ensure that contact is made and sustained with Roma people sleeping rough.
- Ensure the assessments made and the support offered are appropriate and relevant for the client group and that Roma people are supported to engage with the available services.
- Work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies and advocate, where appropriate, on behalf of Roma people with external agencies regarding their welfare rights and other support needs.

This is an exciting and varied role, integral to the output of the whole Community, Events & Corporate Team. You will be responsible for managing our portfolio of challenge events, alongside the Community & Events Stewardship Manager, as well as supporting individuals with their own places in events or undertaking their own challenges. You will be responsible for the recruitment and stewardship of event participants, as well as the organisation of on the day support at events, working closely with our Marketing and Data colleagues. About the Role
As the Durham Service Manager you will oversee the successful operation of supported accommodation providing an assessment, support and move on service to young people at risk of homelessness – creating a safe and engaging environment that individuals feel proud to call home.
You will work across the Bishop Auckland Supported Accommodation service and the Dispersed Accommodation service based in Tow Law managing a team of Progression Coaches, Night Progression Coaches and Outreach Workers. You will support and guide the team in providing targeted support for clients and take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all young people, volunteers, staff and the building in the service. Additionally, you will ensure the service meets all the relevant regulatory and quality standards, including compliance with Ofsted requirements to maintain the highest level of care and support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Build and maintain local relationships with commissioners, stakeholders, and delivery partners, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Oversee building safety through regular risk assessments, health and safety checks, and compliance with Depaul policies.
• Liaise with internal departments (Finance, HR, Fundraising, etc.) to ensure smooth service operations.
• Manage and monitor budgets in coordination with the finance team and Assistant Director.
• Deliver high standards of support for young people and ensure effective housing management practices, meeting KPI targets.
• Apply the Depaul Acceptance and Commitment Therapy model to help clients align with their values and long-term goals.

Join the team at Castle Service in Cambridge, a dispersed supported housing provider supporting 14 young people aged 16 ‐25 years old who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The service operates on a hybrid working model which can include home working, remote working within the community or working from our office base. You will have the autonomy to manage your case load and working arrangements where they support the operational objectives of the Service.
In this varied and challenging role, you will work with young people to set goals to develop their confidence and internal resources and help them to move on from temporary services to permanent accommodation at the earliest opportunity. Another key aspect of this role is accommodation management which will see you support the service users to ensure the accommodation is Health and Safety compliant, well kept, clean and tidy.
You have experience of engaging or working with young people as well as the ability to work autonomously. You will be independent with a positive, can‐do attitude and keen to break down the stigma of homelessness and mental health.
Access to a car would be desirable due to the need to travel between the four supported houses.
