Main purpose of the job

FearFree delivers services across the South West for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused and trauma informed support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

We are delighted to be recruiting for new specialist support workers for our holistic Behaviour Change services across Devon.

Working within experienced and committed teams, the Behaviour Change Advisor will:

· Complete specialist risk assessments (including Respect RIC) and develop personalised safety and support plans.

· Deliver one to one specialist behaviour change interventions.

· Co-facilitate short term and long term group work.

· Promote the service externally and ensure our interventions are accessible.

· Provide proactive, trauma informed and holistic support, with a focus on increasing victim safety and reducing the risk posed by a perpetrator.

· Work within a multi-agency framework to effect change, manage risk and ensure safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children is paramount.

· Offer professional consultancy, training and advice to other agencies on working with perpetrators.

· To work collaboratively with Partner Safety Workers to ensure the safety of the victim is held central.

There is a requirement for evening working – approximately once per week to deliver group work interventions.

FearFree is committed to hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based in either Exeter or Barnstaple, alongside requiring travel across the county for multi-agency meetings and to deliver group support. Occasional travel to our other offices may be required.

Key responsibilities:

• To join the highly effective teams across FearFree to provide Behaviour Change support to perpetrators of domestic abuse.
• To reduce the risk of reoffending and of harm posed by domestic abuse perpetrators and increase the safety and wellbeing of victims and children.
• To provide perpetrators with an understanding of domestic abuse, healthy relationships and communication, the impact on victims and children and support them to use new techniques and strategies to change their behaviour.

• Work across a large geographical area to ensure locality is not a barrier to accessing services.

• Have a responsibility around safeguarding of both adults and children, maintaining knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures and integrated working.
• Support other agencies in the identification and referral of domestic abuse issues via promotion of service and institutional advocacy.
• Ensure all referrals are clearly logged on our database and all case records are kept fully updated, according to FearFree policies and procedures.
• Attend and engage with case reviews, risk reviews and Treatment Management as required.
• Work closely with Partner Safety Worker and Children’s workers to ensure the safety of the victim and children and a holistic view of risk.
• Manage a caseload ensuring each client receives the appropriate service individual to their risk and needs.
• Support the empowerment of the client.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Adult Domestic Abuse Team, which provides support to people and their families who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

Working within the team, you will work directly with victims of domestic abuse, providing them with support and educational sessions to increase their safety and the safety of any of their children.

Offering support to standard to medium risk victims of domestic abuse, key tasks will include:

• To provide high quality, person centred, trauma informed support to people impacted by domestic abuse.
• Being part of a team providing a whole family approach.
• Support people to increase their personal safety.
• Support people’s personal empowerment to take control of their lives.
• Undertaking risk assessments and collaboratively developing safety plans.
• Give practical and emotional support to families who are experiencing domestic abuse in the community.
• Deliver and facilitate groups for people impacted by domestic abuse, including the Inspiring Families Course (including evening delivery where required).

You will work closely with Children’s Social Care, offering professional consultation regarding domestic abuse cases and attending team meetings where required. You will work closely with local Social Workers to increase the safety and stabilisation of people, by offering specialist domestic abuse educational sessions to the non-abusing parent, either in a one-to-one or group setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide a high-quality, person centred, trauma informed service and empowerment to those who need it.
• Manage a caseload of standard to medium risk cases, providing virtual and face to face support.
• Complete an initial assessment of individuals’ and families' needs with corresponding support plans to meet these needs so, preventing escalation of difficulties.

About the role

The Development Manager is a new and important role at The NewBridge Project, which will support the effective management of fundraising and reporting across our work.

About The NewBridge Project

The NewBridge Project is an active artist-led community that supports artists, curators and communities through the provision of space for creative practice and an ambitious artist-led programme of exhibitions, commissions, artist development and events. 

Our programme builds solidarity with the people around us, and is community-centred, experimental, collaborative and socially conscious at its heart. We work with our studio members, the wider artistic community and our neighbours to create a programme that responds to their needs and those of the local environment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Fundraising 

• Work closely with the Director and Programme Director to oversee the review, development and delivery of our fundraising strategy.
• Undertake research to identify potential new sources of funding from a variety of sources.
• Support and where appropriate lead on the writing of funding applications for core and project funding.
• Develop written case for support documents (such as case studies, needs-based analysis) that can be used for a variety funding applications.
• Input into the development and ongoing review of an ethical fundraising policy, in line with NewBridge’s values and ethos
• Work closely with the Director, Programme Director, and external evaluators, to embed and implement an evaluation framework into all strands of NewBridge’s work.

Funding Management & Reporting

• Oversee NewBridge’s obligations to funders and partners, through the production and submission of reports across multiple grant/reporting platforms. At present this includes:
  • Arts Council England 
  • Newcastle University
  • Newcastle Culture Investment Fund
  • North East Combined Authority - Skills for Growth Project (see more detail below).
• Manage and update reporting and evaluation timelines, working with staff to ensure we meet external deadlines.
• Manage, update and prepare up to date budgets for funders and partners when necessary.
• Write reports on progress/delivery for funders and partners, that demonstrate impact and progress against outlined objectives
• Work with Communications Producer and relevant staff to ensure funders and partners are correctly credited across communication platforms and public spaces where appropriate.

Management of North East Combined Authority Reporting & Operations.

• Lead on quarterly and annual reporting for North East Combined Authority, this will include:
• Processing quarterly financial claims
• Revising budget/cashflow on quarterly basis
• Submitting written progress report, and updates on key performance indicators and milestones
• Work with project partners Newcastle University, including;
• Preparation for bi-monthly steering group meetings and monthly operations group meetings, including:
• Scheduling and set up for in-person, hybrid and online meetings
• Taking and sharing meeting minutes and follow-up actions from above meetings
• Leading on the assembly and dissemination of papers for meetings.
• Gather necessary information from university to be inputted into reports/evaluation.

 Monitoring and Evaluation

• Work in collaboration with team at NewBridge to capture qualitative and quantitative data on audiences, participants and collaborators (including social impact reporting, equalities and diversity monitoring, environmental impact, and audience data).
• Lead on evaluation administration, including review and implementation of systems for recording data/feedback and completing data entry. 
• Attend events and activity at NewBridge in order to support with monitoring and evaluation.
• Work with external evaluators where applicable – at present this includes working with Ortus Economic Research to evaluate our North East Combined Authority Skills for Growth project.

In their search for a new International Finance Manager on a permanent basis Family For Every Child are partnering with Robertson Bell to recruit to this pivotal role.

Family For Every Child is a global alliance of local organisations working on the front line with children and families in need. This exciting opportunity involves reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources and playing a crucial role in supporting the finance function across the charity's UK and New Zealand entities. The organisation seeks a qualified Accountant who is adept at managing diverse financial operations to further the charity's impactful global mission.

In this International Finance Manager role, you will:

• Be fully responsible for managing two finance service providers in the UK and New Zealand entities, ensuring that all invoices are processed and approved in time for fortnightly payment runs handling GBP and other currencies through different systems.
• Conduct quarterly reviews of accounts updated by the finance service provider, identifying variances and hold meetings with budget holders in the programmes team to support quarterly forecasting and maintain an 18-month rolling forecast.
• Ensure all reconciliations are completed by the finance service provider and present quarterly report summaries to the leadership team, and work with the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources to prepare reports for board presentations.
• Ensure annual year-end accounts are produced and reconciled, oversee the external audit process, and address any outstanding questions and lead the annual budgeting process with budget holders and review financial policies periodically to ensure compliance and relevance.
• Utilise your experience working within charities with complex funding streams by leading in the production of donor reporting and work with the finance service provider to establish standardised donor reporting processes.

The role:

• Assist the Head of Finance with the preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd monthly management accounts.
• Provide support and advice to budget holders to aid budgetary understanding and ownership.
• Proactively work to improve finance processes, including developing budget management processes.
• Assist the Head of Finance in the efficient and timely preparation of the Greenpeace Ltd annual accounts production and the conduct of the annual audit.
• Represent the team at a senior level including providing financial advice to the organisation.
• Share leadership responsibilities for the team with the Head of Finance. Provide expertise, insights, financial advice and problem solving as necessary.
• Assist the Head of Finance with improving VAT reporting, compliance, analysis and organisational understanding.
• Influence and manage the workload of the Finance team, including the delegation of work, weekly/monthly monitoring of workload and priorities against work plan/timetable, and resolution of any bottlenecks that occur.
• Lead and develop the Senior Finance officer who reports directly to you.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified, or a finalist Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or other chartered accountancy qualification) or will be qualified by experience.
• Have substantial experience of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Be a self-starter, with the ability to work on own initiative
• Have proven experience of delivering a business partnering focussed service and providing in depth insight, analysis and guidance to budget-holders.

• Have highly developed communication skills with credibility to operate outside the finance function up to senior management level.
