Project Analyst – Strategic Delivery (Homewards)

Salary:  Circa £55K

Location: Central London office three days a week, with flexibility to work from home for two days

Overview:

Homewards is a five-year, locally led programme, launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales in June 2023. The aim of Homewards is to demonstrate that together, it is possible to end homelessness – making it rare, brief, and unrepeated.

The Royal Foundation has selected six flagship locations across the UK and formed Coalitions of committed organisations and people from their public, private and voluntary sectors: Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland, and Sheffield.

Role Purpose:

The Royal Foundation is seeking an exceptional Project Analyst to play a vital role in shaping and delivering high impact strategic initiatives across Homewards’ priority thematic areas: homes; funding and finance; employment; and data. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring Homewards achieves lasting impact and shaping exciting and ground-breaking new partnerships.
 

Reporting into the Senior Project Manager and working closely with colleagues across the programme, the Project Analyst for Strategic Delivery is a key role as we deliver ambitious cross-location initiatives that prevent and end homelessness. You will be based within the core Homewards team but will work closely with other Foundation teams and external delivery partners.

The successful candidate will be passionate and driven to make a positive impact on the world, with a growth mindset and motivated and eager to learn. You’ll be enthusiastic to understand the ‘big picture’ on issues whilst working on progressing deliverables.
 

Key Accountabilities, but not limited to:

· Conduct interviews, desktop research and literary reviews on interventions across homelessness prevention (data, housing, finance and employment) to inform Homewards strategic initiatives

· Analyse quantitative and qualitative information to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and, where relevant, develop light touch Theory of Change frameworks to guide approaches

· Investigate international best practices for potential adaptation in Homewards locations

• Design/develop insight-based solutions in collaboration with the thematic leads and other expert partners

· Provide and present insights and recommendations through clear reports, presentations and briefings to the Homewards team, partners and wider Foundation as needed

• Build and maintain relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, and support the day-to-day management of the stakeholder ecosystem

· Supporting the development of crucial partnerships for the programme and management of work being undertaken by external delivery partners

· Taking on responsibility for the successful delivery of data, research and analysis projects within the programme as required

· Working alongside with our Research & Impact Team to ensure our approach to developing strategic initiatives is linked to our evaluation and assessment of the wider programme

· Promoting a strong team ethos and collaborative ways of working both within the programme team and wider organisation

Relevant knowledge, experience and personal qualities

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience of developing insight-based solutions in collaboration with others (essential)

· Proven ability to mine and collect, interpret and present qualitative and quantitative insights (essential)

· Proven ability to summarise findings into written reports, presentations and charts, communicating insights in a clear and accessible way (essential)

· Familiarity with database management and how to organise and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data quality and integrity (essential)

· Experience of using data to inform decision-making, ideally programme or initiative design (essential)

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing a range of priorities and your own workload (essential)

· Confidence engaging, and building relationships, with multiple partners to build partnerships or create insights (essential), ideally you’ll be comfortable working with organisations from across all sectors

· Comfortable operating across the thematic areas of predictive data analytics, finance, housing and employment, ideally with experience in one of those areas and desire to deepen your knowledge (desirable)

· Familiarity with Theory of Change, Social Return on Investment and other relevant evaluation frameworks in the social impact space (desirable)

· Understanding of the drivers, players and role of prevention in societal challenges like homelessness, ideally with some experience around homelessness or relevant area (desirable)

Hospital Liaison Worker

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £24,020 - £30,790 per annum

The Role

Using a caring, compassionate and trauma informed approach you will be engaging with individuals who have been admitted to hospital and have a substance use support need. You will deliver a range of interventions including advice, harm reduction and structured psycho-social interventions. You will work closely alongside colleagues within the hospital to ensure that appropriate support is offered to all those in need.

The post will work within the Likewise alcohol and other drug service to establish a high quality hospital liaison service for patients; ensuring and providing appropriate assessments, interventions and co-developing multi-agency discharge plans and pathways to reduce relapse and hospital readmission. 

Based within the local hospitals, the post will ensure effective communication with relevant hospital departments (e.g. Mental Health, Hepatology & Gastroenterology, A&E, Maternity) and externally with Together and other community services (e.g. GPs, outreach, housing and community justice services). 

The post will provide advice, guidance and training to healthcare professionals in recognition, treatment & management of alcohol and other drug related problems, including the delivery of brief interventions. 

As a Hospital Liaison Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Attending hospital ward rounds and maintaining good communication with hospital staff.
• Responding to hospital liaison referrals from within the hospital.
• Delivering interventions to clients face-to-face and over the phone.
• Working autonomously to manage a caseload of their service users, including delivering a range of psychosocial interventions. 
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and appropriate referrals within the community

We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our In-House Maintenance team, helping deliver a high-quality repairs service to our tenant's homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable maintenance professional who is passionate about ensuring we can provide safe and affordable homes in our community.

Utilising your contract management skills and financial acumen, you'll manage responsive maintenance, void, damp and mould and disrepair works and services, ensuring they are delivered in a timely, cost effective, customer focused and safe manner. You'll be accountable for operational management of multiple contracts and projects, being mindful of annual budgets and revenue projects whilst building strong professional relationships with colleagues across the organisation, including finance and procurement.

As well as managing sub-contractors, you'll also lead and manage the performance and development of a team of Void Supervisors, providing coaching and other development support as required.

Our ideal candidate?

• A relevant HNC or equivalent and/or possess significant technical experience in construction or maintenance related contract management.
• Experience of managing contractors or subcontractors in a repairs or planned maintenance setting.
• Experience working on high value repairs or maintenance projects.

Our wide-ranging well-respected portfolio of training aims to give the people working or volunteering for a charity what they need to thrive in their role. Our training also generates significant income for NCVO, playing a vital role in our financial sustainability and allowing us to achieve our mission.

Our training programme has three key strands; open (delivered live online), in-house (delivered online and/or face to face with an organisation on a specific theme) and eLearning. With support and oversight from the Training and Development Manager this role is responsible for the smooth running of the second of these three areas.

About the role

We attract learners from every corner of the country, every type of charity and social purpose organisation. Through our open and bespoke training we are able to make training more affordable and allow a range of charities to access quality training either online or face to face.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience in managing programmes, events, or courses, along with an ability to use technology and learn new systems. Experience with customer management systems for project coordination and reporting will be valuable. 

You’ll be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and will have an understanding of learning priorities for charities alongside a strategic mindset. Above all, you’ll be motivated by delivering excellent support and creating meaningful impact for our learners.

Working to support Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, this varied role will support on the delivery of a diverse portfolio of community partners, supporters and events. Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Senior Community Fundraising Manager, you will grow our community income by recruiting and managing community supporters to drive our fundraising efforts across our key campaigns, lead and motivate individuals to take part in fundraising activities, turning conversations into lasting relationships that support our amazing local NHS hospitals.

Working primarily with community supporters, the post-holder will also need to work closely with our Corporate, Individual Giving and Legacy, Comms and Marketing colleagues in support of our overall objectives.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and cultivate a portfolio of community supporters and prospects to grow income
   
• Build multi-layered stewardship plan that secures long-term support and offers excellent customer service
   
• Build year-round cultivation and stewardship event plan for individual supporters and community groups
   
• Support Senior Community Fundraising Manager to develop and implement annual community fundraising action plans to grow income, generate new leads and manage ongoing relationships
   
• Conduct prospect research to identify best prospects and plan approaches to introduce the Charity to secure support, to include Charity of the Year partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
   
• Proactively cultivate and develop relationships with new community supporters and develop relationships with existing donors to secure ongoing support
   
• Provide effective relationship management and stewardship to demonstrably increase retention of community donors
   
• To promote and help co-ordinate NHC volunteering opportunities
   
• Think creatively to develop fundraising initiatives to encourage community supporters to engage with Nottingham Hospitals Charity quickly and easily

Residential Support Worker (Mental Health) - Charles Davies House 

Location: Hockley, Birmingham 

Salary: £24,570 per annum 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full time working flexible shifts Monday to Sunday) 

Post holders must be able to work flexible shifts Monday to Sunday. There is also a requirement for the post holders to be available to work sleep-in duties (for which there is a separate allowance paid).

Build Up is a charity that runs practical construction projects across London, supporting young people aged 10-23 years old to shape their local area. We’re looking for a Programme Manager to join us and lead the delivery of these projects.

The role

You’ll coordinate Build Up’s year-round programme of youth-led design and construction projects, managing two Construction Project Managers to deliver them. You’ll develop project ideas selected by our young people and support our team to set up strong working partnerships. Overseeing Build Up’s pipeline of new projects and working with our fundraisers and partners to bring them to fruition will be central to your role.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who can work flexibly across projects, balancing immediate and longer term priorities. You’ll have people management experience and be able to delegate and provide extra support when needed. Build Up’s partners include both informal groups and local authorities, so we need someone who’s comfortable setting up effective working relationships with organisations of all sizes. We don’t expect applicants to have design and construction expertise – full supervision is provided by other team members.

Accountable to the Centre Manager and the Management Team, you will be responsible for the day to day support of service users. You will undertake duties and responsibilities, as shown on the Staff Rota, which are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the supported housing programme. 

These will include:

• Advising service users in the carrying out of their activities.
• Coming alongside service users to assist and encourage.
• Providing transport to doctors, dentists, hairdresser etc.
• Providing personal support to ensure that service users needs are met, (including practical and spiritual needs).
• You will ensure that each service users Support Plan is followed and updated on a daily basis.
• You will work a shift system, including shift leadership, sleep-overs when required, as detailed in the staff rotas.
• You will keep all records required by both Care Standards (Scotland) Act 2002 and Teen Challenge UK.
